I used to be a bridge painter years ago and I got severe lead poisoning not knowing anything about it back when I was 19 today I'm 57 and the doctor said the older I get I'm going to feel it and I feel it and there's nothing you can do about it because the workers weren't taking care of back then
this is why ADHD is so prevalent. this thing is side tracked on cardiovascular problems look at where lead contamination heat maps and our lead lines and ADHD diagnosis are in north america and tell me otherwise
Have been stripping paint from old wood/ metal for years and rarely used protection, even used the grinder to sand of old laquer. So i am kinda sure i have plenty of lead. But this will not show up in a blood test?
It depends. High lead in the blood for many years, will shut down enzymes and then shut down excretion of lead. So you can be lead toxic, and not test positive for lead. If you buy a small dose of EDTA (on amazon), then take the lead test, though lead levels would be elevated (more than normal) you can tell pretty easily if you have lots of lead. I started lead chelation 3 weeks ago and got horribly ill from lead leaving my body. All the health symptoms I've had for years... have amplified X100. Heavy legs, dizziness, ataxia, confusion, irritability, extreme fatigue... so it's clear that chelation works. Only downside if you have to go slow & it can take 6-12 months for lead levels to begin falling. As they will rise initially for a few months. BTW, my exposure to lead was by melting down fishing weights as a teenager. I did it a lot for 2-3 yrs in a closed garage. Developed neurological symptoms within 5 yrs. Health began to collapse 5 yrs later. Then it took another 5 yrs or so to realize I was lead poisoned. Whatever you do I would act quickly. Don't wait around x more years wondering how bad it is. If you just take EDTA for a few weeks, around 500mg, and you get really sick after 2 weeks... that's lead chelating into your system. You will detox really hard before it gets better. So take it SLOW. Good luck!
A blood test is for whatever your doctor asks the lab to screen for, like hormones if you can't get weight off. You have to request to get your blood tested for lead.

Humans more often than not fuck it up. That's why I hate our species so much.
That sucks man
Sorry for you brother, myself, it’s asbestos.
‘Detox’ diets have gotten very popular- are there any that help reduce lead load?
The actual talk starts about 10 minutes in....if you're not into wasting time.
thanks

Never would have known the effects that lead had on high blood pressure. Interesting.
Chelation must be considered if symptoms are present regardless of BLL.
