I have to confess that I didn't realise Gibraltar had so much to see and do. I've previously thought about visiting and after watching that, I've definitely got to go. Apparently a few different places claim to have first created the Japonesa donut. I've heard that they've gone to court to decide who owns it. They're now just waiting for the court to decide who gets custardy! I appreciate the puns and the effort you put into making the video, thanks.
Thank you especially for that view of Gibraltar from the boat at 9:04 - many years ago as a child, I was on a ship that crossed through the straits from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean and that is pretty much what we saw, though we were farther away. Brought back sweet family memories. Thanks!
What an awesome video Evan and definitely brought me back some great memories from my own trip to Gibraltar back in 2017. Loved the planespotting session and that easyJet takeoff photo was crispy AF
I went to Gibraltar (and loved it!!) when they opened the skywalk. We didn't actually know the opening celebrations were happening, we just wondered into the main square to go find a wine bar and were like huh - big stage?? Then out popped the dancing stormtroopers from Britain's Got Talent, and none other than Mark Hamill himself!!! Very cool and unexpected! Loved all of our Gibraltar trip, but that was the absolute highlight!
A fun video, good to get your perspective on Gibraltar. There is at least one other place where a public road crosses an active runway - at a military base in Switzerland. Tom Scott did a video about it a few months ago.
1. I love the way you've started inserting photos from the places you visit in the videos - they just make the places look even more gorgeous, great work! 2. if you want to see a really cool runway i'd highly recommend a trip to corfu in greece - theres a gorgeous monastery on an island just off the end of the runway and planes going over feel like theyre about to graze the top of your head! 3. i work at gibraltar point nature reserve in lincolnshire and once had someone ask me where the monkeys are because theyd gotten their gibraltars confused lollll
A popular belief is so long as the Bababary Macaques exist in Gibraltar, the territory will remain under British rule. During WW2, their population fell to just 7. Winston Churchill made an emergency order that their numbers be immediately replenished from Morocco and Algeria. The badly behaved Macaques were exiled in 2017 to Blair Drummond Safari Park in Stirling, Scotland.
It's nice to see a recent video of Gibraltar! I visited in 2013 walking over from Spain. The monkeys seemed to be more mischevious then, I was surprised to learn that they'd moved some of them out! And I see that there was a lot we didn't get to do there,, I was part of a tour group that did a weekend in Morocco and we got to stop in Gibraltar on the way back. I'll have to make it back there someday soon
I made many visits and stayed in Gibraltar for quite some time in the 80s if anyone is thinking of visiting, it’s changed a lot where they’ve reclaimed land and they’ve extended the runway which makes it an awful lot. Safer. I must do. The Mediterranean steps get a cable car to the top and walk down don’t try and walk up very steep in places Beautiful views of the Mediterranean and the Spanish coast line
I believe there's a road that crosses one of the runways at Sumburgh Airport up in Shetland but I don't know any other places where you can just freely travel across the runway. Also I suppose technically that one in Scotland on a beach you can freely walk across too. I do absolutely agree it's really quite cool though
I visted Gibraltar a few years ago and witnessed a monkey JUMP onto someone's back, unzip their back pack, take out a back of crisps and EAT them! I was stunned. This same monkey also took a full pack of biscuits from me and I was traumatised for the rest of my holiday.
Loved your video but believe me that guides view on Rock music is not the general concesus I have 3 brothers and 3 sisters and we love heavy ROCK MUSIC, I put my Rock music on full blast when the youth club 100 feet from my bedroom window start blaring out their modern synthetic crap music into my bedroom !!!!! Regards from Gib.
Stop with the puns...it ruined the video and was disrespectful to the tour guide. Okay one or two but it was all just a little too much for me...really spoiled the flow of a lovely video.
I live near Gibraltar (in Spain Gaucin) I go to Gibraltar every couple of months. It is an interesting place and I like my visits to Gib.

Your puns fell on deaf ears 😢. Looks like you had a great time.
Killer whales are actually part of the dolphin family

Love the vlog - Killer Whales are dolphins!!
I have been to Gibraltar and loved tbe runway thing- but don't you live right near an airport and see planes taking off all the time?
I do 😉

Please, could you include more puns in the future, they are amazing!
Saucy as always!

My forehead hurts after all these puns
Very Tom Scott-y thumbnail! :)
It is interesting because it is British ❤
@ 1.15 ... technically speaking, you're actually on a barge.

Good vid,Evan, but seriously bad punning jokes on your part ! 😉😂
Wow Evan can be *painful* when he isn’t scripted/focused in a video
I had no idea mamela meant tit
... In the old Genoese dialect.
Very jealous
The United Nations are now forming a task force to save the World from Evan's terrible jokes🤭
Stop with the puns...it ruined the video and was disrespectful to the tour guide. Okay one or two but it was all just a little too much for me...really spoiled the flow of a lovely video.
lmao
I liked them a lot.
no puns please - they are painful
