Glad to see not alot has changed just few shops ....am a Scottish - Geordie .....living abroad in Europe.,it's been along time indeed since been in Newcastle upon Tyne ...lots of memories good n bad. It's a very nice city the night life is TOP .... High five to Geordie Land ❤
I remember Newcastle in the early 1950's as a child visiting Mums relatives. It seemed huge and busy and before the days of smokeless fuels the buildings were almost black. What things to see, Saint James' park, the Tyne and it's bridges, the city centre with the shops and as today many pubs. Those strange places to a youngster which were noisy when you walked past holding Dad's hand, doors often open with clouds of smoke and the waft of booze entering the street. The University, then University college, the Hancock museum and the science museum (which back then was by the lake in exhibition park). The architecture of Grainger Town which could have been lost to the bulldozer in the 1960's. The magnificent railway station and a trip to Whitley Bay by electric train and of course the People. Halcyon days. It's even better now. I'm proud to be a half Geordie! Look after your Bairns and your Toon hinny! Great walk video, liked and subscribed.
I enjoyed living in Newcastle, it is a fond memory of mine, and visiting the new castle feels like returning to my homeland.
I came to this city in 2010, the city is very beautiful.
Newcastle is one of the best cities in the UK
