I don't know why there isn't more men's fastpitch softball and women's baseball, its very odd to me. But honestly where do they play? How is the National Team selected?

The societal sexism and inequality at the time suggested it to be more suitable for women. Men's fastpitch is played worldwide! Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Canada, Denmark, and a lot of Eastern European countries too. I've played baseball competitively for 16 years. Played in college, faced pitchers throwing 95 mph, played against draft picks and elite level university ballplayers. Baseball doesn't have shit on fastpitch softball. Fastpitch is a lot harder man. It's quick and fast-paced with less time to think and react. The bases are closer in FP and the men are just as fast running down the line as in baseball which means less time to field a ground ball and throw it to first not to mention if the batters a lefty that's even less time. Men's pitching mound is 55 ft and baseball is 60 ft 6 inches which are roughly around the same distance. Try to hit off someone throwing 85 mph underhand and the ball rises, yeah you probably can't. You go to other countries and men's indoor volleyball is played more by men than women as with fastpitch softball. The only reason why it's not as popular in the US is that men are too insecure about being called effeminate and play a sport called ”SOFT-ball, ” that's stupid and ignorant. It's just a game. Have fun and that's it. Why bring sexism and gender roles into it?
