"why would you use the mail system in the building?" That's one of the biggest differences I see between this and SCP. I don't think the foundation would EVER operate primarily out of the house, especially with how little they know about how it works.
I mean, the foundation's mandate is SCP. There is the baseline assumption that the things they deal with are dangerous for a bajillion different reasons and almost always need to be put in safe little boxes. At least as of 90 minutes in, it appears The Problem in this world is more... thematically unified? The collective unconsciousness and Jung stuff, the archetypes. That seems.... much trickier to deal with. When anything that resonates with abstract concepts in the popular consciousness is a potential containment breach.

there's also the fact that a lot of SCPs simply can't be moved, so the foundation doesn't have a lot of choices except to go to where the SCP is and try to just quarantine the area, with force if necessary. at least the house stays in one place and is the center of all the reality-breaking.
The differentiation between OoPs and Altered Items is actually unique. SCPs do not have that kind of classification due to the foundation largely frowning on the use of SCPs beyond containment. The closest it gets is the Safety Classifications (Safe, Euclid, Keter). Parautilitarians aren’t really a thing in SCP Foundation

It is just a bunch of largely anonymous independent authors. All SCP work on the wiki is collectively released under some version of the Creative Commons license which makes it easier to create derivative works set within the universe, but makes all SCP related work ineligible for copyright protection, or anyone actually "owning" a part of the IP. Which is why big studios probably won't make anything based on SCP unless it's legally distinct like Control so they can be the sole owners of it. That's my understanding of it as someone currently working on an SCP game and researching the legal background of it.
