I love the two rangers outside Underhill's office. I don't know if Pat heard any of their chatter since he seems to ignore all dialogue outside of formal dialogue sequences and I've been skipping through a bit, but my favourite bit from them is when one asks if Underhill has tried bleach on the mold, since that worked so well on his bathroom.
30:20 Pat doesn’t get how talking to plants works. Talking to plants is good because it gives them carbon dioxide to breath, the hiss is just a frequency, it doesn’t exhale.
I like how pat immediately tried to brute force the password, then complained that he doesn't know which of the 5 exact same puzzle solution pictures to try... and then doesn't bother trying any, just asking chat for the answer, then giving up solving it for 10min.
I found Essej to be a harder boss than Mold-1. Pat forgets to keep moving most of the time. I was circling the room like a madman when I beat Mold-1. Leviate. Shoot. Dodge. Leviate. Shoot. Dodge.
Pat was too lucky (8 on the CRT) so when he stood on the rug that sapped one luck out of him Very deep if you think about it I got too lucky in Las Vegas once and then I woke up with broken legs
33:05 Revisiting this particular playthrough -- your observation that the FBC wanted Jesse there from the start, paired w/ that document about improving behavior by not treating the contained like prisoners. I suddenly think this quest has some layers... it's enjoyable for Jesse in the game now, yet the task of seeking out & speaking to all plants on a given list? That seems almost calculated to "positively engage" a competetive eleven year old, prone to borderless exploration (Jesse Faden, had she been found promptly after the Ordinary AWE). 'Science & Professional Ethics' on display in some deeply opaque shades of grey.
4:51:00 Could easily be the government agency, with supernatural concealment to their goals and methods to the general public, found ways to access Jesse's records, instead of them doing repeated catch and release events.
Watching this after playing this game two years later wondering why he doesn't just sort the mods, then realizing that apparently wasn't an option yet. Wow that sucks
4:19:41 i don't understand why pat questions the need for a superhuman to be the director. look at the fucking shit you are fighting. even if the Hiss never existed at all, half of the shit in this building would kill a normy with a passing glance. hell, the fridge kills you with anything But a passing glance. someones gotta have some super magic to keep this garbage in check.
I hope Pat came to the rescue when that spider tried to kill Paige. I have to get people to kill them for me all the time because I just freeze, get big ol jelly legs and forget what breathing is haaa.
I think the issue was standing on the rug and not looking away. The table thing was total coincidence cause it fit both. I just stood off the rug and turned the camera away too and it worked
I assume the golden suit is a reference to H.P. Lovecraft? I mean there was a "King" wearing a golden suit I think? Edit: I looked it up and it's a series of short stories called "The King in Yellow".
I was inclined to comment that I beat this boss on the second try. the reason pat had a hard time is because he didn’t put enough into levitate and he’s using the default gun form.
I just want to know... how the hell did Jesse get split into two different people? Was it the slide projector? Did it happen when they went to the desert? Did the two different frequencies of Polaris and the Hiss cause Jesse Dylan to become Jesse and Dylan? Was it one of the other worlds in the slides?
It's unclear whether the "Jesse Dylan" bit should be taken seriously or not, but my interpretation is that perhaps Dylan's "dreams" are of parallel universes, and there's one universe where they were one person. Regardless, I don't think it's meant to be read too deep into.
this game doesn't seem that hard, but pat's dying unnecessarily a lot just by little things that he should know better to not do like standing around and not paying attention to the enemies around him other than the one guy he's got blinders on.
5:29:12 wtf is he talking about? All I've ever heard is trash talk from Pat, Woolie, and Matt about how much they hate Borderlands. Like Pat has said he thought it was a good game but in the same sentence says he still hates it.
Man this game is a lot of fun, but I swear every new boss I come across just ends up being really frustrating and makes me almost wish I just stuck to the main story instead. Really not a fan of how the checkpoints work.
No, because they would be wrong. Her superhuman punch and ability to travel via control points are indeed things she could do without manipulating any OoPs. Emily not even aware that the latter was possible. Oh aside from that the very ability to "calm" and manipulate OoPs means she is Parautilitarian in itself, of cause she isn't the one doing the "clenching" of the OoPs, but the rest is all her.
Just played the Code Vein trial and I'm already liking it better than Surge and Remnant. But wouldn't be surprised if it was too anime for Pat. The leveling and weapons feel smooth and addictive and the story is definitely well thought out.
@@tusk1026 Code Vein has an anime opening too... it'll be interesting to compare the two. Both have an anime opening but Astral Chain's anime would be like Psycho Pass while Code Vein's anime would be like an anime based on Dark Souls or Monster Hunter. While both take place on an Earth post apocalypse, AC is more sci-fi realistic-ish. CV is anime fantasy with vampire magic. They couldn't be more opposite as far as anime goes and lets be real. Pat was fine with AS because it was ripping off 90s anime, Evangelion in particular which he already likes. CV has more of a modern anime vibe to it, which Pat has said repeatedly he doesn't like
4:04:30 was he being sarcastic? Because if not, the former director was like 50+ years old...you think he could do any of the shit that Jesse is doing now? To be fair, a situation like this has never occurred, but Jesse's ability to seal OOPs inside herself is insanely useful for certain OOPs.
Ugh, this would be so much more enjoyable to watch if it wasn't for the mic picking up every single breath/smacking of lips. A shame as otherwise entertaining, just those sounds constantly coming through drive me bananas.
Pat running around getting shot while waiting for his gun to recharge without using his shield power is the height of being a big gamer...
7:27 for vidjer gamm
Pat enters the mirror world, and must defeat his evil reflection: Tap!
I really like the implication that the "poison damage" you take from the mold is actually Jesse getting too hungry and eating it.
2:32:10 there's something so classic about the "get well soon" balloon thats rigged with arsenic.

Paige's SCP would be a yellow bottle that gives you an unquenchable thirst for mustard unless you put it in a paper bag
Oh no, I'm so early that no one's posted when the game stream actually starts!
1:40:58 i like to think the redactions are "Jellystone" and "yogi freaking bear"
OMG have Paige cosplay Faden in golden mustard suit for Halloween.
I love how excited Pat gets for Alan wake at 4:07:57
In case anyone else gets bored of the Mold-1 fight: 2:30:36
Well, I'm kinda disappointed Jesse didn't switch gun hands when she stepped into the mirror. It would've been a nice detail. Oh well.
7:25 Game Starto. It's quick this time.
wow the mold boss fight didn't need to also be a no-heal stage, holy shit
I found Essej to be a harder boss than Mold-1. Pat forgets to keep moving most of the time. I was circling the room like a madman when I beat Mold-1. Leviate. Shoot. Dodge. Leviate. Shoot. Dodge.
I fucking love, that the closed cases department, is the smallest fucking room in the entire building.

What crimez did the borderlands ceo commit?

This episode ends right before the best section of the game how dare u

I didn't look away and it worked for me too. Think even doing everything right has a chance to be "unlucky"
I assume the golden suit is a reference to H.P. Lovecraft? I mean there was a "King" wearing a golden suit I think?

Hey when does Pat realize the enemies have levels above their heads?
The answer is never.
I was inclined to comment that I beat this boss on the second try. the reason pat had a hard time is because he didn’t put enough into levitate and he’s using the default gun form.
Why does Pat think the FF7 Remake restarted development in 2016?
Why won't Pat construct Charge? Isn't that like a grenade launcher?
Edit: Mirror-Jessie uses it too.
Is anything affiliated with Gearbox not slimy?
This is the video where Pat's poor decision making pays off. He is quite underpowered going into the mold 1 fight and it really shows.
Oh, is this a thing? I am having a really hard time in there, is there some sort of a progression in the game?
3:20:14 FUNNY VALENTINE?!

... is nobody going to tell Pat that Jesse didn't start with any powers? He said she did like three times now and nobody has corrected him
No, because they would be wrong. Her superhuman punch and ability to travel via control points are indeed things she could do without manipulating any OoPs. Emily not even aware that the latter was possible.

Watching him try flight over and over reminded me of the definition of insanity.

I for one am pretty hype for it, BUT I did not play any demonor watched too much. I'm just going to risk diving straight in
Pat is playing Astral Chain which literally has an anime opening. I don't think "being too anime" would effect him tbh.
@@tusk1026 also persona. Maybe he meant too anime for a soulsy game

Why the hell keep using the basic pistol though oh boi
Ugh, this would be so much more enjoyable to watch if it wasn't for the mic picking up every single breath/smacking of lips. A shame as otherwise entertaining, just those sounds constantly coming through drive me bananas.
but its.. so sexy...?
