Hope you guys like the video! I am finally releasing all the content I've filmed in Brazil before the war took place, but I will continue to share the fundraiser for humanitarian aid with each video. Let's make it happen! :)
Hello Alina The Riwc (Regina Immigrant Women Center) will start helping the Ukrainian Refuges by next week I think I would be great if you could visit and talk to them
Hello eating eating eating. Me too. Look gorgeous and little bit stout coz of food. 10% follwers from Brazil for my Instagram page--- A refugee from somewhere.
Aline, o Brasil não é só Rio, São Paulo, Curitiba, Floripa, esse país, e seu povo é incrivel. Venha nos visitar mais vezes, conhecer outros lugares. Obrigado por sua simpatia.
So much fun, thanks for sharing! My sister spent over a year in Brazil some years ago so it is such a pleasure for me to watch this series. It brings back memories of things she talked about and fills out some detail of what she experienced. Thank you!
Hello Alina this video is superb shout-out to them. It's one of the best video on Brazil that I've seen so far on TH-cam personally and I extremely love it. Plz make more vlogs like this one I will surely enjoy them!.
This is what I love about travel vlogs! The food looks pretty good and lemonade definitely is worth a try Alina. I am glad you are staying on course with your work.
Dear Aline, I watched all your videos from Brazil. I am a Brazilian and I have lived in Europe for over 30 years. The places where you were filled me with longing. You introduce my homeland to the world in a loving and very captivating way. Thank you so much for the videos and I wish you much success with your channels. I became your fan
Oh, so you came to my hometown.... There are a few of those street markets near me. I was born and raised in Ipanema, where there's one every Tuesday in one place and every Friday in another. I still go get stuff there eventually. Usually peppers for my sauces.
Brazilians are way more humble and beautiful than what I had initially imagined... Thank you Mark Wiens for showing this beautiful side of Brazil to the rest of the world. I also have recorded some street food videos from Brazil as well.
It is an interessting way to know a country with the help of locals, they will show places that are not part of the beaten path and also their views of the world. I've been in Switzerland wher a friend took me to visit his grandparents, an experiencie that I could not have enjoyed by myself.
Your food vlogs are one of my favourites, and this one's no exception. Love the fresh fruits available there, especially lychees which are my favourite! It's my go-to fruit each time I visit India
Brazil is one of the richest places when it comes to food variety. We have a lot of VERY local food. Is the case of two traditional dishes from my region. One of them is "rojão" (firework in free translation - because of the shape), which is meat with a lot of garlic. Seems like kafta but is slightly better. Also Bolinho de Frango. It is made of corn flour dough (made with the boiled chicken water and condiments) and filled with this shredded chicken moisted with tomato sauce. The dough tastes a bit like polenta. It has a crunchy outside and a very soft inner part.

Hi Alina, greetings from a Finn in UK. I cannot wait for the first pastel on the streets of SP in a little less than a month after that I will definitely have a croketa and coco frio. This movie just made me miss Brazil so much and I can´t wait to get on that LATAM flight from Heathrow. Stay safe and healthy and I hope your family in Ukraine are safe. #SlavaUkraini
5:00 Good news, we can get those fruits in Canada (Atemoya). Check out the Asian supermarket in Edmonton (T&T?) Tried it for the first time couple weeks ago and my Aunt (husbands Bolivian) said today it’s very common in central/northern Bolivia, too
Amazing "root" experience. As a local I love this type of ride once in a while, and it's interesting to see a foreigner so openhearted to it. Have a nice travel Alina!
Lemonade and iced tea was made famous years ago in the United States. It was the favorite drink of professional golfer Arnold Palmer. You can go into the bar of most country clubs in the United States, and simply say you want an Arnold Palmer. This is the drink that they will serve you.
As you know we have always loved your food video's and all the great choices you share with us. Happy to see you keeping things light in spite all the issues of the last few weeks. We have left Ukraine and wandering around, we will write more later in a message to you when things settle down. Keep smiling Alina!! Cheers to our special friend!! 💗

Hi Alina! No matter where we are or where we may travel, local street food is typically fantastic! Brazilian street food is exceptionally adventuresome, fantastic, and savory!!! Thanks for sharing, Alina! Slava Ukraini!!! ♥️🇺🇦
Hi, Alina! I'm not sure, but I think your 'pastel' wasn't filled with palm of heart. In 2:52, I heard the seller saying 'meat and cheese', that is the reason why you thought it was cheese. Just in case, before leaving Rio, try 'pastel de palmito' once again, it's delicious :) Great video, btw!
Hello, Alina! It’s nice to know that a Canadian girl was so interested of visiting Brazil! I hope in the end you’ve just got that feeling of coming back in Rio someday! BTW would you have any Scottish ancestry? Greetings from Rio
Oh, so much good stuff. Heart of palm. Just dying of tropical food now. One of my favorite: Guava. You can make guava paste and eat it with white cheese or goat cheese as a desert. Great video.
Hi there! I just came across your channel looking for information about Saskatchewan. I saw the video you made on Hafford, and then I saw that you were in Brazil. Well, if you're still here and have some time, I recommend that you visit the state of Parana. It is the state I live in, and has many beautiful places to visit, including the Cataratas do Iguaçu. It is also the state in Brazil with the biggest community of descendants of Ukrainians. There's a city called Prudentópolis, in which about 75% of the population is composed by Ukrainians' descendants.
Hello Alina! 😁🙏👋🌟 This is really a wonderful super excellent fantastic video! 😄👍❤️👏🇧🇷📹💯🥇💫✨🌟 Nice to meet Gui and Rafa from Rio4fun! 😃👍👋🌟 The food at the street market looks absolutely delicious! I have tried a pastel and lychee fruit once before and they are so delicious! I would definitely like to visit the city of Rió De Janeiro one day. It’s a marvelous city! Thank you so much Alina to share with us this magnificent amazing video! I wish you Alina a wonderful beautiful marvelous blessed day. Take care and be safe Alina. 😊🙏❤️👋🇧🇷👍✨🌟
Great video! I used to eat pastel in Puerto Rico ages ago when I grew up there. Best thing about Brazilian food in general is the meat and veggies consumption. It's ridiculously easy to do low carb. I could live on steak and salads. I'm one of the few non-vegetarians in my family and I just I can't do the amount of carbs they do (idli, dhosa, rice etc) since I'm obsessed with being fit. Although when I go back to visit my mom I'll eat her cooking cuz I don't want to hurt her feelings. Then I go back to Boston with panic attacks and hit the gym an extra hour a day for week a week or so. 😆 🤣 😂
Great to see Indian spices in Brazil, currently in cartagena, Colombia, visited the old Town and beach resorts with my new Colombian girlfriend. Really hot here too, but food here is very mild but delicious.
Hi Alina, hope you enjoy beautiful Rio. Suggest you to visit Curitiba, a city off the beaten track but totally worth to visit, from here you can fly or take a bus to "Iguassu" waterfalls, one of the world new wonders at the border with Argentina and Paraguai, and you can also visit these 2 countries in one day.
Actually, these peppers are from Brazil, not India. Portuguese trade was the responsible for spreading this vegetable to the world, particularly to the Indian Ocean countries. And there are lots of Brazilians who love spicy foods (what would be the reason for selling them if it's not true...?)
Wow, that was a pile of food you waded through on this video The only thing I've eaten or recognized was the Lychee in Asia. So the rest was all Brazilian to me, therefore totally unknown, as I've never been to South America, period. In that heat I'd have been full for a least a day. Great video, but then all of yours are, so kind of a redundant statement, never the less still true.
Hope you guys like the video! I am finally releasing all the content I've filmed in Brazil before the war took place, but I will continue to share the fundraiser for humanitarian aid with each video. Let's make it happen! :)
