I've had anxiety since a child. I am now 27 and on meds and seeing two therapists. anxiety is a real mental disorder. It's terrible. People always ask me, why can't you just breathe or try to calm yourself down. I say, if you get punched in the face, you are going to feel pain and there is nothing you can do to make that pain go away or to not feel that pain. When I have a panic attack, it's the same thing. There is nothing I can do to make it go away or prevent it from happening.

So true ive had anxiety since being a child and im in my 40s. What a battle. Im doing everything to help myself. The services don't take it seriously. Its a huge battle every day. Impossible to find the right therapy. People tell me to breath, not to worry etc . If only it was thst simple

Luke seems like a good kid. I hope he can overcome anxiety and actualise his dreams.

I used to have anxiety as a child. But after I became an adult, I lost the anxiety and I'm much more confident now.

It was extra fascinating during the demo with the kids. The group who were the thinking brain, on rising, became naturally inclined to hug each other. Without prompting or suggestion, they seemed to just want to hug. That was really interesting to see

Aww I feel him. I have social anxiety and it’s quite frustrating. You get really nervous in public or around people. I actually have a code word with my friends, that helps a lot.

I really like this guy. Especially the part about one kid getting it out of four. That’s just like me. I got it but my 3 brothers are completely fine

I have anxiety issues. (so does my dog) so it totally cracked me up when as soon as the man said that the bottom part of the brain is wild and not cleaver. My dog picked up her paw, touched the mouse and stopped the video lol! Im laughing but my dog really does have clear anxiety (as do i) she was a shelter dog and we don't know what she was exposed to but, she has a lot of fears. I just thought it was really funny that is all. I do think that in some cases animals understand more than we think. I am sure that this was a random happening but, it did make me think about anxiety in other species and how much they can self regulate and maybe use parts of that top brain.

Thankyou for this wonderful video. So many kids are dealing with anxiety and at very young ages these days.

The competition in the world which is overpopulated and pits people against each other, is beyond the capacity of many to cope. This is the current version of survival of the fittest. My granddaughter has started pre-school. Her school district has attracted many Asian Indians. My doctor told me to consider another school because of the crazy competition and pressure Indian parents put on their kids. I would home school to keep her away from the toxicity.

There’s so many specialists who are so just because they’re U trained , good talkers or just plain good at selling their ideas.
Parents need to think further beyond what’s being told them by experts.
Notice he doesn’t mention our modern life where system pulls kids away from parental influence including Moms career, daycare & super junior kindergarten , it’s our modern way but perhaps the young children don’t know that yet and can’t cope because they’re babies.
He doesn’t mention nutrition as being an aspect of childhood development as all that’s on supermarket shelf is good.
The s there’s anti anxiety medication,
(Don’t want to wake that big dog cuz he’ll bite) So the present system allows all these professionals & corps a place in the food chain, poor kids. Their only line of defence is family

R Stam I've no idea what you're trying to say. And you do realise his brother grew up in the same home? The reality is more kids are in need of a diagnosis rather than over diagnosed which I think that's what your suggesting. Oh and by the way, all these experts are not reaching out to kids, the families are reaching out to experts because they're desperate and judgement doesn't help.

If you look more into Nathan Wallis himself, he covers so much more what is said here. This is one video, he speaks all around New Zealand & goes into a lot more depth.
