Each Journeyman will have you wrap it how he likes it obviously, although most of us like it about the same few ways. Its only between a couple methods most of us prefer. Keep it in mind, that we are likely going to be in our rubber gloves the majority of the time when we drop that line out. So youll want it to be a simple as you can for the guy in the air. Instead of pulling your final bit of slack you use for the loop, and wrapping it back over on itself...just take that final loop, and slip it over the top of the handline hook itself, and not the handline coils itself. Basically just hang the loop over the top of the hook on the block. Then the Lineman can easily be in rubber gloves and hold the handline block, and flip that final loop off of its hook easily. Way more efficent than fighting the handline thats been tightened up back and over onto itself. Mostly just do things like your Lineman prefers, and life will be much simpler for you out there lol. Stay safe and embrace the suck!
Thanks homie saving the asses of us that can't afford line school 👌🏽
I want to start making some more videos on things to teach the newer guys. Let me know if you can think of anything you’d like to learn
I’m currently in line school and our instructor makes us do this at least once a day to keep our memory fresh
I went to sltc and we did the same thing
