Dr. Schmidt has to be a reference to Johann Schmidt (The Red Skull, a Nazi German Doctor turned into a bloody skull man by an imperfect super soldier serum, that still granted him the power of the perfected serum)
I always wondered how he eats if his head is a skull. Wouldnt all his food fall out of his jaw? And wouldnt flies try to lay eggs there? And wasp, and misquito's, and so many other small critters
This movie is so fucking good. Such a shame it didn’t get the amount of love it deserved when it released in theaters . I went opening day and there was barely ppl in there . But after releasing on demand and blu ray , that’s where ppl appreciated it more .
I saw it on demand, your comment is the first time I’m hearing it even had a theater release. Sounds like whoever was supposed to market it dropped the ball since I only heard of it from friend who recommended it after they watched it, again, on demand.
@@dmcgee3 It barely got any advertisements . lol its kinda funny how the title is called "super soldier serum" and one of the actors in the movie also played john walker in the falcon and the winter soldier tv series 😅
@@same10red28 spoilers but they are gonna cover marvel's zombies bc in one of the trailers it's the train scene from cap 1, and buckys on the train and he runs into a zombified Cap.
It looks as though this film is based on the Wolfenstein video game franchise. WOW! I had a great time watching this film. I really hope they make a sequel for Overlord.
I never thought about their bodies being used afterwards 👀👀 that be a decent sequel opp with a new countries "refinements" to the Nazi version. Id watch it lol, hopefully see the serum in dogs or apes and give it a RE vibe but grittier
Is like a movie franchise about these guys discovering that the us government did find it and they try to replicate it. And the squad has to stop them.
You NEED to do a “explained” video on a film that recently came on Netflix, its called “blood red sky” about a woman who got infected with a vampire virus and is travelling to NYC to try cure it with chemotherapy, instead hijackers get hold of the plane and things go sour very quickly once she runs out of her temporary medication. Really good flick!
I've watched many of your videos but it was the Old Man Logan video when I realized why I like your channel so much and it's how amazing your voice is. No matter how horrifying and disturbing the content is your videos always help me relax. Stay awesome!
One of the biggest shocks Ive ever seen in a movie. I didnt know a single person who walked into this movie and expected it to be as phenomenal as it was. Just a great movie.
Watching this movie for the first time at home was nuts, I remember I had my stereo speakers connected not expecting anything crazy, and then all of a sudden my living room sounded like D-Day x 10😂 But, honestly, this movie was really good and doesn't get the appreciation it deserves.
I saw this on Prime and said to myself let me check out your channel 1st so I don't waste my time, then I watched it and enjoyed it very much. You're my go to for movie reviews.
Thank GOD that woman who was just a head couldn't feel any pain. If she could, that would be, truly, a fate worse than hell. Painless version is a tragic purgatory.
If you want more WW2 style horror I can highly recommend Death Snow (Død Sne) and Outpost 1, 2 & 3. Overlord reminds me so much of Return To Castle Wolfenstein in concept.
In the thumbnail you can see John walker/ corporal Ford played by the same actor who later turned. and the serum was called super hero serum the same captain America took
Imagine if the nazis were able to perfect the serum and make stable soldiers. Sheeeeesh 🤯 They could make a sequel to this movie where the US army gets their hands on the serum and perfects it.
I seem to recall that Overlord was supposed to tie in with the cloverfield setting... or that was the rumour at the time. Its possible, maybe, that the tar substance was originally related to the substance that was harvested from the cloverfield creature.
Funny Wyatt Russell injects himself with an experimental super soldier serum in this film. He does it again later in Falcon and Winter Soldier. Also there are several other MCU actors in this film.
Can you do a video for The Ripley, also known in the novel as Byrus (Byrum for plural), which was a fictional complex parasitoid alien macro virus that appear as primary antagonists of the film "Dreamcatcher" released in 2003 staring Morgan Freeman Thomas Jane and Timothy Olyphant based on the Stephen King novel released in 2001?💡💡
@2:48 …you’re telling me the super secret nazi super soldier serum is literally French villager piss? OMG. *Red* piss at that, so I’m surprised that the villagers supposedly survive the process. Just think…every time someone gets injected with the serum, they are literally taking the piss😂
An excellent explanation video as always Niyat. Also, are you still working on the Deadman Wonderland video I suggested a while ago? Just hoping you didn’t forget it.
Whatever happened to the town's ppl who were used as filtration experiments, like the aunt? Surely they weren't all taken out by the explosion &their appearance couldn't just be explained away...?
Why? It's such a waste. I mean the Nazis lost without superheroes fighting them why do you want me to pay $12 in the theaters or whatever it is now to see what I know the outcome is going to be? I rather see something different like Prometheus, or the new Dune movie coming out.
That one American soldier zombiefying while crushing the canteen and snaping his spinal cord backwards is my favorite zombie transition to this day.
I was totally uninterested in watching this video until I saw this comment. Thank you for that. XD
I remember seeing that in a trailer
This movie is fantastic! Highly recommend it
Looked like something out of resident evil.
Franco Delille (Dead Space 2) has entered the chat

It was so scary in movie theater
It is a better film than it was portrayed as in the trailers.

You could finally have Marvel Zombies
Probably in Marvel's What if?
Hulk's serum was an attempt to replicate the same serum used to make Captain America. Imagine zombies as strong as Hulk.
Wouldn't happen, too scary, gory and dark. Don't want to give their fan base nightmares now do they 😎
Marvel zombies are my favorite series.

A super-soldier serum is sweet until you basically turn into a crazy zombie.

Not at all

That would make no sense at all and that was never a rumor
it was initially supposed to be part of the cloverfield universe but JJ Abrams decided it would be best to make it a standalone movie instead.
