As a black man I agree. I went through a similar change back around 2013-2014. I'm afraid for what society is becoming. The race relations are so much worse. So much real progress lost in the last 10 years
Hope and Change himself Barack Obama is largely to blame for this. I knew he was bad news the moment he showed his racialized bias during the Trayvon Martin incident.
Completely agree. I’ve both dated and lived with black people. I’ve spent many hours walking around Lake Merrit in Oakland, CA. Never worried about the kind of hostility we see today. But, hey. If we work at, maybe we’ll get back there. I believe in progress.
I really need to say this: We need more people like you. Like honestly, your self consciousness is amazing. It takes a lot of balls to actually question your views, and I madly respect everyone who does, especially nowadays, where western society in general is at the crucial point it's currently in. I thank you wholeheartedly.
Excellent!! I was a lefty all my life, until 2016, when I realized the self-righteous, insufferable & rigid behavior of the left was not only bullying, but dangerous. It's infiltrated every institution & aspect of our lives, and historically, these ideologies have lead to genocide..yet , they'll never see themselves as the villain. They demonize & silence those of us who dissent & it's getting worse. I believe there's a deeper, more sinister agenda at play. I have faith & was always scorned by my leftist "friends" for that. And I believe truth will prevail. Stay strong & take care.
So glad I found your channel. I got "red-pilled" back in 2016 and the anger is a natural part of the process because when we realize how hard we've been lied to it is difficult to process. Surprisingly my wife (who happens to be black) had secretly been conservative and basically congratulated me when I finally woke up. Thank you for your content and please know that we got your back. Even if we are strangers we are fellow Americans and need to look out for each other and the future of our country. I got kids man...I want them to live in a peaceful nation.
You do not have a black wife and you already knew she was conservative, if you did you wouldn't feel the need to mention it as a 'gotcha' to the general view that black people are not conservatives.
@@TruthDoesNotExist Some older people fall for this, yes. But I would estimate it’s at least 10x more common among younger people. As someone who works with both groups of people on a daily basis, it is pure delusion to deny this. Not saying that you are. But it’s pretty anomalous among people over a certain age, while being an absolute epidemic among people younger than ~25.
@@therainman7777 it's the old people putting their kids infront of screens and into schools that promote this nonsense. I'm 18 years old and i might sound like a boomer but it's true, I'm not sure what the answer is, though.
@@yaboiavery5986 There’s some truth to that, sure. But my observation is that the majority of those older people do not actually agree with or promote these things, but either do not have the means to move their kids to a different school, which presumably need to be private, and therefore expensive, or do not fully understand the severity of the problem. After all, how easy is it to send your kid to a non-woke college? How many non-woke colleges even exist? Are any of them very prestigious. I believe the answer is no, but I could be wrong. But it’s hard enough to ensure your kid gets into a decent school and that everyone involved can afford it; ensuring that they’ll go to a school that will not attempt to indoctrinate them is not exactly easy. Let alone K-12 schooling, or monitoring what they see online 24 hours a day, etc. The people actually _doing_ the indoctrination are far more to blame than the parents are; the parents are in some sense the victims here, along with the children, of course.
BIG mood. I used to be quite liberal, but I graduated college, got a job, and stopped going online since I had work/chores/hobbies and suddenly... I started seeing so many holes in logic from ALL sides, all political groups, all spectrums. Now I just sit and watch things shaking my head and going 'how is our society even functioning with this much BS---'
I think the main problem is pointless culture war bullshit, masquerading as political platforms. This is on TOP of the fact.that the US became a corporate oligarchy a LONG time ago.
You're honestly so great, I would've loved to have a friend like you in high school, where I was still surrounded by the woke mob and felt so alone. my worldview also changed, im so happy to see us young people opening our eyes. Thank you!!!
Back in the day the mantra was "we are all the same underneath ..." meaning skin color is not what defines us. I come out of that mindset that everyone should be treated based on their character and actions ... not their race or ethnicity. Nowadays as a white person I feel like I'm viewed as an oppressor/colonizer although I had nothing to do with that era and I can't change my skin color/ethnicity ... any more than I can change the fact that I am gay. I am growing really weary of it all. Thank you for speaking your truth, Charlie.
The notion of all people being human and worthy regardless of race, sexual identity, financial status, etc. was really taking off in America big time in the 70s and 80s, and well into the 90s. Having lived through it all myself, it's a bit shocking to experience how quickly the social engineers have interfered to stop that from progressing. I think everyone over the age of 40 is still reeling from the surprise attack. My hope is that once that surprise has worn off, we can all regain that precious ground and literally save our species from extinction.
@@yarelyr People (all races) have done horrible things to other people (of the same or diff race) throughout the history. Many white ppl (call these People A) moved to the US/Canada from countries that have been on the receiving end throughout the history (by other countries/people of white race - call these People B). People A and People B are both white, but: 1) People B have done horrible things to the people of color in the past (ex: French, British, Spanish, Portuguese, ...) 2) People A did not take part in any of it (ex: Polish, Romanians, Ukrainians, ...) Question: Should People A and People B be treated the same in the US/Canada when it comes to dealing with the history? They are all white. The simple answer is: Absolutely not! Next.
You received stolen land and wealth from the colonizers so you are connected to the evils of that era, especially if you are against reparations for Black people! Everyone tries to reduce Black people's oppression to levels that others can identify with and even compete with for victimhood status. The problem with that is they need to create 400 years (and counting) of slavery, torture, rape and murder (and much more) - to even get close to being on the same page as Black suffering! Almost every argument non-Blacks make, excludes these facts, which reveals the wilful ignorance and deliberate prejudice of those that blame the victims i.e. Black people! Africa is rising and white menstealers are being cut off and rejected. God makes Black people the last standing on planet earth, just as He made them the first created people in the Garden of Eden, which the Bible says is in Africa. AMEN
I'm glad people are realizing these things. I went down the rabbit hole during covid & it changed everything. As one who had studied poli sci in undergrad, I found myself sitting silently during class discussions simply because I really didn't want to deal with getting into disagreements with poorly-tempered people and essentially shunned by everyone afterward. I'm very relieved to see we aren't alone. Critical thinking exists, we have to break out of the binary to retrieve it, though.
I know how you felt. I myself ditched my studies at a university in Germany when I realized that the whole university and the majority of students were lefty woke extremists. I realized I was in an indoctrination camp and could not imagine spending another month among these woke zombies. It was exhausting to listen to the leftist propaganda in almost every class. The bias was so obvious, yet everyone in the classroom was just nodding along. I remember looking around me at all those empty faces and being actually scared of what I was witnessing.
I also came to that reality when the majority of black people in my city voted for more cops (I live in a city with high crime) and the majority of whites and Asians voted to defund the police. I started questioning who we were really fighting for when the black people were voting the opposite from I thought they were wanting. Which then led to me questioning my beliefs in general. I sold out Asians too until then. Your story resonates. Good job for coming into reality!
Hi Jane, I'm a UK citizen so not well versed with American politics. Would you be able to explain why whites and Asians voted to defund the police in your city that has, as you said, high crime rates? Is there an explanation by those who vote to defund how this would affect the crime rates? It appears asinine to me, but perhaps there is something I am missing. Thanks for your time.
@@NotForHire42 This was right after BLM and George Floyd happened. So a lot of people in the US had (and still have) this belief that all cops are killing black people at high rates, even believing that cops are the number one cause of black people’s deaths. All of this is not true if you check the statistics, but the media pushes this narrative so people in the US, especially where I live in California, believe this to be true. I believe there is a disconnect between the blacks in the poor communities riddled with crime vs the people that are not in crime ridden areas. Thus, defunding the police doesn’t make much of a difference in the lives of whites and Asians, that live in the richer areas, but it negatively impacts the black people that need the help of the police the most. Thus the votes by whites and asians to defund the police. Their intentions are good. Execution is not. As someone who was supportive of defunding the police initially in thinking I was helping, I started to question if that was really the right approach. Fwiw, I actually voted to increase police. My logic back then was that even if we should focus on helping blacks not get shot by police, my city still has a crap ton of crime and we need to get that handled first. Also, the city did end up not defunding the police and actually increased funding for the police. So they executed in favor of the black vote. The problem though is that we’ve always had a shortage of cops here (since nobody wants to work in heavy crime and risk their lives everyday) and with BLM, the number of cops dropped further. So even if you have more funding, it doesn’t necessarily mean you have more cops. With the negative perception of cops and cops getting attacked here now, it’s been even harder to recruit more cops here. And the laws here favor criminals now so our crime rate has continued to increase and is still increasing. They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions. I feel like I’m starting to see more of that here. But needless to say, BLM the organization, whites and Asians were pretty pissed that the defunding didn’t happen so they’re continuing to fight for it. I just find it ridiculous as the crime numbers keep climbing.
It's really unsettling to see so many people speak of having their views challenged on one particular issue, and as a result of that they then disown all their other values and shift to the opposite political side, just because they think their flawed take on one issue means that they were wrong about everything. I myself have realized over the past few years that my opinions on 2 issues are now very much divergent from the Dem party line, gender identity politics/trans radicalism being one of them. I don't support medically transitioning children, Self ID, erasure of female spaces, male participation in female sports, etc. which is pretty much completely at odds with the left. However, just because my views are completely unaligned with the party line when it comes to that particular issue, does not mean that I must have been wrong on everything else and should consider a different political affiliation. I know that there are many other issues - which are equally or more important than the few I diverge on- that the left is right about, or at least has a much better take than the right. My point in saying this is it never has to be "all or nothing" when it comes to your political beliefs, you don't have to support a political party on every single issue. Being informed these days requires critical thinking, nuance and reading from a variety of different sources - you'll never get the full picture if you limit yourself to info from one side of the political aisle, or just mainstream media in general.
@@purplespaceship2417 Agree. It is sad to see people going from one extreme to the other or one party affiliation to the other. My views have changed a lot, and I consider myself to be down the middle and different by policy, but the BLM support and the brainwashing I went through around that support was eye opening for me.

I don't believe the term "woke" means what it used to anymore. Rather unfortunate displays of virtue signaling at the cost of quality in literature and cinema is something I've come to call woke-washing because it ultimately detracts from the validity of that which it is attempting to represent. The validity of the term "woke" has fallen to the same semantic satiation and no longer represents a justifiably moral plane of reasoning. It's not the individuals fault, but the industry of manipulating good intentions that rallies genuine humanity behind a veil of efficacy to only suggest the creation of societal progress while ultimately going nowhere. Its sad that universities are actively stopping open discussion and debate. A market based approach to homelessness, while I'm not sure if it could work , would have been something interesting to hear regardless. Either way, its hard to tell if an idea will work or not if you don't hear it. A university should be a place where open discussion (and more importantly counter arguments) should be common place, its how good ideas are formed. It was also what Universities are for to begin with, get a bunch of subject matter experts and have them compete/study for the best ideas.
Most homelessness is two or three things that cause people be homeless. Mental health issues, loss of job, or drug addiction. Drug abuse and mental health is mostly an expert help issue. So it is with anxiety, lingering jade and a broken and fearful heart that I ask you to please keep going, you are a voice of reason in these dark dark times and your words have brought me comfort at a point when I thought I deserved death.
Hi, your comment warmed my heart. i am also depressed and I have cats who I love very much. No one would be able to take care of our fur-babies like we do. My cats do something that makes me smile every day. Honestly unconditional love from a pet is the best thing in life. I am “woke,” but not unreasonable. Any ideology can become totalistic. I agree with a lot of what this guy says. I think we have a long way to go in the national discourse. There is a book called Beyond Your Bubble by Tania Israel that helped me a lot. I also like Jonathan Haidts books. Hang in there. I think we have a bumpy road ahead, but there are also brighter days ahead and light at the end of the tunnel. A lot of people are feeling like you do, and wanting things to be better, and wanting hope. I know I do. Have you ever watched any of Eckhart Tolle’s books? I like Eckhart Tolle and Russell Brand when I’m depressed. Cheers me up. Please take care and hand in there. I know exactly how you feel.
Really appreciate folks like you speaking up about this experience. I red-pilled or peaked or whatever about a year ago (after years of pulling back and being pulled back in like a brainwashed yo-yo) and had a full mental breakdown about it, definitely spewed a lot of wild stuff to friends/family privately while trying to process and untangle everything. I’m still building confidence to speak up more and people like you help remind me that I’m not as alone as it can feel. Thank you for your videos!
It takes courage to stand up to bullies and tyrants. My experience is that bullies are often victims of bullies and by their natures become cowardly unless they stand in defiance of their tormentors. Tyrants are those who seek power over others through cruel and often unreasonable means. Tyranny must always be opposed, or it will eventually be applied to the group you belong to. I was taught that there is only one race, the human race and we are all one big family. Thanks for being courageous Charlie.
Except in this case the vast majority of these types tend to check two different boxes... #1. Spoiled children, who got everything they wanted, then eventually became entitled, intolerant adults, with little to no ability to self regulate. #2. Cornerstones of society who abdicate to them for their own narrow-minded, individualistic self-preservation in the same way those kids parent(s) did.
This makes me understand more about why people are becoming NPCs who would fight mindlessly for agenda. I wish for more people like you to question what you believe and become someone who could see issues from a different perspective other than what the media told us. you're amazing.
I just wanted to say you are extremely well spoken and I am glad you are sharing your ideas and thoughts. We tend to see the vocal extremes on both sides and seeing someone come at these hot button issues from a centered, grounded perspective is refreshing and needed.
Keep fighting for what you believe in. My path to awakening was similar to yours. I fought for the left because they told me I had to, they told me I was to blame for the color of my skin, they told me trump was Hitler 2.0 and that all the hypocrisy and double standards were okay because my side was the good side. Coincidentally during this time I suffered from depression and anxiety and self medicated along with taking pills prescribed to me. However, once things started to make sense I didn’t feel depressed or anxious like I used to, stopped using hard drugs, got off the anti-depressants and stopped seeing everything through the lens of victim/oppressor. It’s wild how once you can identify how they propagandize and brainwash you start to see it everywhere. The mind virus is truly pervasive and I pray it will be seen for the cult it is.
I have watched several of your videos so far, and have come to the conclusion that you are such an articulate young man and I respect you so much for coming out and speaking on matters which seemingly no one else wants to discuss. You are a beacon of light on this platform and I hope your message reaches million. Love from scotland

As a gay white man, I consider myself left-of-center. But I believe EVERYTHING should be questioned, if only to confirm that I'm on the right path. I just Suscribed and noticed your high number of subscribers. That means your words have Power. Kudos to you. 🌟
I’m on the side of THE truth, Jesus Christ….that said I’d NEVER wish you any ill will etc….your private life is not my business, but when these commie lunatics are pushing this onto elementary school kids, then it’s a BIG problem….let kids GROW UP, when they of age, it’s up to the who they are etc
@@mr.smithgnrsmith7808 I understand. I did not choose to be gay. I grew up in Fundamentalist Christianity, so had to come to terms. That said, a person knows that they are LGBTQ without needing someone to tell them. Treating it like it's a bandwagon has people some wanting to be cool.
I am a gay white man as well, and I understand. I don't feel comfortable with the corporatization of LGBTQ and the social justice movement sometimes. I went to an affluent and liberal high school in Connecticut, and even with a student body of 2,500 I was one of the only openly gay males. Nowadays when I meet people younger straight people, they are surprised when they find out I'm gay because I don't "act gay". It isn't that they are bigoted, its that they seem to fetishize gay people, and have an almost overbearing support that demands I be as fervently social justice oriented as they are. Being gay around them seems to hold a special power, that whatever I say about gay rights is taken as gospel, and not as a reflection of my own unique personal experiences. I don't take advantage of that, but use this as a way to really educate them. I let them know that being gay isn't really a part of my personality, and that most of my interests would still be intact if I weren't gay. It is nice at certain times to habe people who are willing to always continue to beat the drum for you over the issues, like the Supreme Court potentially overturning protections on gay rights to marriage before the Protection of Marriage Act was passed..but at the same time I would like to be treated as a person. I don't want straight white people to feel they cannot criticise me constructively, nor do I want to be treated like an accessory or a notch on the belt of someone. I'm not here so people can treat me well in order to assuage their perceived white guilt. The bad experiences I have had in the past due to homophobic leadership are not the fault of people born after the year 2000.
@@mattmammone2338 I'm a straight guy, and the very idea of "acting straight" is just insane to me. All I worry about is just being me. What kind of bs is going on, that you guys are robbed of that?
@@coltonowens2742 Agreed. As a gay guy, I look forward to a day when my orientation & skin color take a back seat to the real things that make who I am as a three dimensional person.
Very insightful video Charlie. I am from Australia and in a lot of ways the situation is very different here but it is really interesting listening to your experience. Your points seem incredibly valid and as an outside observer I really wonder how it'll develop in time. Hope you stay safe and keep strong!
Oh man....I felt like shit when I realized that a younger me used to say the same things I now can't stand. People don't talk to me as much as they used to now, either. But I also got more people I didn't even notice before talking to me and agreeing with me because I dare to say things. It's really rough, though. Glad you released this video.
You have genuinely changed my entire worldview as someone who was also raised very liberal. I tried especially hard to stick to the questionable beliefs to impress my dad.
I had my own red pill moment 3 years ago after i moved out of Florida to Colorado with my ex and met her dad, the guy had it all figured out, completely destroyed my world and i remember balling my eyes out in self disgust. The fact that myself and so many people are being manipulated to this level of hate that's all based on lies is disgusting. I'm glad to be on the right side now, I'm still learning and growing but I've never felt more based and secure in my beliefs, which unfortunately destroyed some of my long standing relationships, but I refuse to be around hateful people so i don't see that as a negative. Luckily the red pills are being widely distributed and a lot of people are starting to wake up and realize what's really going on.
True left isn't this woke idpol garbage, it is solidarity among people of any race, creed, gender. Corrupt idpol is sown into the mainstream discourse to keep people divided & to play on the guilt complex of affluent white liberals (=DNC donations). The right has spun off into this weird anti-authoritarian/alt-authoritarian spiced with its own industrial grifter complex, usually of the con theory bent. 2008 onward has really broken a lot of brains.
If you believe that you're on the "right side" now after taking the "red pill", then you really haven't grown at all, just switched lanes. Anyone with rock-solid frame control could hammer their beliefs into you and you would crack like a walnut just like with your ex's dad.
I was a leftist also, until the members of my organization started ghosting me for differing on a single random issue (farm subsidies). Being skeptical isn’t socially rewarding but at least i can sleep at night lol. Good luck brother ❤
It's really unsettling to see so many people speak of having their views challenged on one particular issue, and as a result of that they then disown all their other values and shift to the opposite political side, just because they think a flawed take on one issue means that they were wrong about everything.
@@purplespaceship2417 I don't think there's a party line about trans people. There's a lot of disagreements on the Left at this time. It's a trigger issue, and causing a lot of conflicts, but I think it'll be worked out. My position is that they are being attacked, and need to be defended against these attacks. The particulars of pronouns, surgery, hormones, etc. I try to get on their right side, but sometimes, I just ignore. The key issue is that they are suffering murder, and it's up to good people to step up and stop it. When trans individuals do things against other groups, they need to be stopped - but as individuals. There's no situation that requires collective punishment and terrorism that the fascists are calling for.
@@dominicochoa9925 The fascists and others are saying that trans women are pedos, pervs, etc. They are protesting and threatening drag events, and carried out a mass shooting at one.
I had a similar experience. I was raised and educated to be a far flung leftist. I hated Trump. Loyally voted for and supported any democrat politician against republicans. I even went through a long career in law enforcement without my ideology even budging (which is a pretty conservative dominated culture). But in the past few years, the insanity of the left’s position just became so far fetched and removed from reality, clearly being fueled by dishonest propaganda, and I could no longer delude myself into conforming with the leftist ideology anymore. Once the blinders started to slip off my eyes, the light was blinding bright. I can’t believe I was so stupid/brainwashed for so long.
Back in the 70's, I was trending towards becoming a Dem- as I was getting to being able to Vote. But someone pointed out a detail about the Political group that taught victim hood. I didn't fully believe in the opposing political party either. I decided that Libertarian was a better option. But then, I finally just said, "I'm going to be an individual and look at each situation separately without political bent."
Not American so my opinion is moot. But I still believe every American should still hate Trump whatever their political affiliation is. The delicate see saw between the parties are disrupted by Trump just bombing the whole playground. Whoever the politicians are eventhough they are doing whatever for themselves they still love America just a little bit but Trump don't have a smidgen of love towards his own country. It's ok to take money from lobbying but at least these companies are American. But Trump take money from the Russians!
@@inuhundchien6041 Yeah. You don’t know what you’re talking about. Best you keep your opinions to yourself if they are gonna be so poorly informed. Trump is brash and I didn’t vote for him (the first time) but he was just what this country/world needed. It’s amazing how much good he managed to accomplish in spite of the entire corrupt system being rigged against him.
@@codyquakenbush4964 Woke isn't left at all, it's idpol authoritarianism disguised as leftist thought. True left is about solidarity and unity among common people against the parasites of society. Naturally the masters of capitalism have full fronted this corrupt form of idpol to distract from the damage of 2008 and its fallout (Occupy Wall Street), while the right has spun off into tinfoil hat land.
Welcome to the world of being a free and critical thinker young man. The ability to query your own beliefs, and when they do not align with the reality that you see, be able to change those beliefs...well, it's becoming so rare that it may as well be a superpower.
You, sir, are a gigantic breath of fresh air. Thank you for doing these. Somewhat related sidenote to this one and the other one I just watched about 'what what we are doing to white people,' since around 2018 or 2019 I noticed I was liking and subscribing to so many channels like this where it's NON-whites saying things that white people get censored for. And I am so thankful for it! I'm 52 and I never thought I'd see this day, the woke, the media, all of it... so strange. I was raised to treat everyone as I would want them to treat me. So I did. Still do. Thanks again for these videos. I'll be deep diving into more.
I’m the same age and I am going through this right now, I anticipate losing some friends because of it, which makes me sad but we cannot return hate and ignorance with the same. I choose to be aware but also hold clear boundaries. I am very concerned for my two oldest children, more so my daughter because she has taken up this leftist ideology without critical thinking. So much so that she won’t even speak to me at the moment.

Please don't stop these videos. It's a true awakening. My heart goes out to young man. Stick what you trying to do and make more awareness of the subject at hand. Your words and motivation to do this is inspirational. Through thick and thin, keep it going.
Fighting against hatred, whether obvious or pervasive - is a tiring and often thankless battle. When you stare it in the face, and are awoken to your own mistakes - it's going to seriously affect anyone with a heart. Learning and growing is all any of us can do. You *are* "doing better". And we should all learn from such experiences. Thank you for sharing, your courage is inspiring.
I lost so many friends when I had the same happen. Now I dont care. It sucks, but at the end I have a loving wife and son to come home to. It makes everything better to me. The love from your child makes all life's troubles melt instantly. Its weird people now don't want to have a family. I didn't at 22, but by 26 I did. There is more to think about.
I had a very similar shift that happened when working at a rape and domestic violence hotline. I sought out that kind of work because I cared a lot about making a positive difference but it didn’t take long too see how harmful “woke ideology” is to the causes it claims to care so much about. It really seems like a lot of those ideas come before any reasoning for it. When facts interfere, they silence the facts instead of working off of new information. It was too the point where the organization I worked for was blatantly misrepresenting and lying about statistics they were using to fight for policy change and knowing that’s what I was doing weighed heavily enough on me that I had to reevaluate the things I thought I knew. I wish that more people had the confidence and sense of security to do that and be vocal when it counts but it really does seem it’s impossible to when a difference of opinion can lead to something like cancellation.
It’s so hard to face the truth but when it’s woken inside of you it’s impossible to hide from it. When that happens you have to embrace who you’ve become and rise up. You’re so brave and thank you for the videos
Just discovered your channel and I love it! I’m very happy that I can see another young person questioning all the things that the media taught us. We should not only question someone else’s views but also our own because, as uncomfortable as it can be to hear, the problem is sometimes in our minds. I was a radical leftist communist 14 year old polish girl that was uncovered to western propaganda. I couldn’t even bear in my mind that I was in the wrong. I actively shared my views on social media even though I never actually knew what I was talking about. I was just sharing what I’ve heard from other influencers. But this year something in my mind just changed and I did everything I could to discover what is really the problem. It was hard at first, realizing that you’re in the wrong and holding yourself accountable for that can be exhausting but it’s worth it. Hope I’ll see more videos from you in the future!!
This was so amazing. My first reaction was "That poor kid! Why did he have to go through all that misery?" I was glad to see you come out so strong in the end. Thank you for posting!
This video (and channel) is incredibly important for the public discourse especially for the younger generations growing up on social media exposed to modern intimidation and social-censoring of political views
Probs to you for self-reflection and overcoming ideological programming. Takes guts to do it and especially to do it publicly. Probs to you for stepping out of the matrix. It's a cynical, cruel, mind numbing silly and frustrating world out here. But every mind saved with reason, critical thinking and truth is a victory for humanity. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Im glad to see your growth! I often ended up in peripheral social positions because I don't have the good sense to stay quiet when something seems wrong. I always want to talk about it and play devil's advocate. This rarely earned me friends, but I found that that didn't really matter because I'd rather be truthful. If I'm wrong, show me. That way we can all grow together. The discussions MUST happen if we are to have truth because we need true diversity of thought and experience. Until we have that, we can never truly understand an issue.
I had the same awakening around 2016.. Thank you so much for telling your story, I really admire you for being able to ask questions and admit when you're wrong.
There is an old saying that if you are not a liberal when young, you are heartless and if you are not more conservative when you get older, you are brainless. It is a bit extreme, but also not far from the mark. Keep the joy in the journey and thanks for your words.

As a black man I agree. I went through a similar change back around 2013-2014. I'm afraid for what society is becoming. The race relations are so much worse. So much real progress lost in the last 10 years
Hope and Change himself Barack Obama is largely to blame for this.

Completely agree. I’ve both dated and lived with black people. I’ve spent many hours walking around Lake Merrit in Oakland, CA. Never worried about the kind of hostility we see today.
But, hey. If we work at, maybe we’ll get back there. I believe in progress.
Strangely enough I think racial relations were better in 70ies. It sure needed work! It wasn't all fine but still better than today IMHO

I think we were at our best when Morgan Freeman played God in that movie, and after that everything kinda went down...
I really need to say this:
We need more people like you. Like honestly, your self consciousness is amazing. It takes a lot of balls to actually question your views, and I madly respect everyone who does, especially nowadays, where western society in general is at the crucial point it's currently in. I thank you wholeheartedly.
We'll said. I second this!
Don’t know if you’re still in law school, but…. We need more lawyers like you too.

@@therainman7777 hmm, your brain gets fully developed around that age

I sold out Asians too until then. Your story resonates. Good job for coming into reality!
Hi Jane, I'm a UK citizen so not well versed with American politics. Would you be able to explain why whites and Asians voted to defund the police in your city that has, as you said, high crime rates?

I’m Mexican but I just changed my view point on white and black ppl. I went to New York Starbucks’s and an Asian couple was in front of me. Both very tiny. A black man walked in and cut us in line and when the Asian man said something he pushed them and started screaming racist slurs. I was so stunned I couldn’t help them. I thought wait! I have watched several of your videos so far, and have come to the conclusion that you are such an articulate young man and I respect you so much for coming out and speaking on matters which seemingly no one else wants to discuss. You are a beacon of light on this platform and I hope your message reaches million. Love from scotland
This channel is a breath of fresh air in a messed up world. Good to see folks getting out of the mob and out of the matrix. Glad you best the mind virus and can share this with everyone
this transparent display of self awareness is a massive breeze of fresh air. thank you.

Hope you stay safe and keep strong!
yes we need more people like this young man perfectly said
Oh man....I felt like shit when I realized that a younger me used to say the same things I now can't stand.
What did he say to you?
A red pill clown in Colorado? hows that working out? Stay out of Boulder and Denver, clown.
What is really going on?
@@johnkawakami8395 define collective punishment and terrorism in this context, please
You can still be left minded and be against woke ideology.
At 52 all you would be doing is laughing at everyone because you already lived a full life of white privilege.

Thank you for this. You are helping millions who are being awakened to get through easier. Love your work and love you.
Realizing problems that effect humanity aren't just one specific ethnicities fault alone is not easy when you grow up in an environment that preaches it nonstop. Kudos, fellow human
The red pill "craziness feeling" hits especially hard when you start to believe the 'conspiracies'
....or recognize that most "conspiracy theories" (thank you for naming those, CIA) are eventually proven to be partly or wholly true.
The worst part is that it’s harder to live in reality and with logical thinking

I'm 100% Japanese, born in America. I carry, and train... not to hesitate.
Thanks for speaking about these topics. I’ve lost a lot of “friends” myself when expressing similar thoughts about conservatism
Instant sub, I'm sure there are plenty of us who appreciate the fruits of you experiences bud. Looking forward to hearing more. Thanks!
You must stand up to those who try to shout you down. Thank you for sharing your story.
You are a wise man. It's refreshing to see a young person like yourself seeing the truth.
