I'm not the only one who came here to watch this after seeing Jamie's goodbye to Sherpa video. Can't stop crying. Look how good Sherpa looked! He feels no more pain, and his coat and tail is full and fluffy again on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

Nope, I almost couldn't get through it.😢 Australian shepherds have about the same lifespan. And I've lost three to old age taking the use of their legs from them, all had to be euthanized decades ago. A new Sherpas time was coming near when his legs started to give out I was hoping for the best though.

This video says it all…everything about the love these two beautiful boys had for each other. It’s so hard to fathom that they’ll never be together in this world again. My heart is so broken knowing that we’ll never hear Jodi say “Sherpa’s coming over” and see Key drop whatever he’s doing, tilt his head and run to the door to listen for the “vroom” and the howl “I’m here, it was a long drive” or Sherpa looking for the biscuit lady. I know it will get easier as time passes, but there will always be an empty space in our hearts for this amazing dog Sherpa who brought so much happiness and joy to so many around the world. 😢💔♥️🐾🐾🐕🌈

Sherpa helped raise Key to be the great pup he is. In return, Key helps Sherpa feel young and never alone. It’s a bond that will never be broken.
When I saw Jamie's post this morning I broke down in tears. Seeing this hurts as much. Pray for Jamie , his heart is broken. Key is sure going to miss his best friend.

I just keep thinking how do you tell a dog that wasn't there for that moment what happened how do you get them to understand and it's so sad
@shanedaley6236 they know. This happened to my dog when her 'boyfriend ' passed. When she visits his home to see his humans, my girl walks around where they used to walk. I swear she has to go there say hello.
@@shanedaley6236 I don't think jodie can even say sherpa's name to key because of the excitement reaction he always did there is no way to explain it to key 😢😭😭 this is so heart braking for Jamie, sherpa, key, jodie, biscuit lady when I saw the video of sherpa and Jamie's goodbye I got on the floor cried and just held my american akita cuddling her while she slept. My heart brakes for Jamie I know his pain to loose a fur baby after so long feels like a life time with them. The day sherpa passed it rained heavily that was all the angles crying for beautiful sherpa's final hours. May you R.I.P never will be forgotten touched millions of hearts around the world and everytime I see a key video you will always be there in spirit and thought of everytime ❤ Jamie I am so so sorry for your loss my heart brakes for you and I'm sending you healing love

This is so beautiful seeing two mates growing up together, learning from each other, having so much fun together, being there for each other, sharing their lives. It's like watching two very close brothers. This made me smile, laugh, and cry because we don't get them for very long. It isn't fair. Enjoy your time with your pups, they are the most precious of all things that was given to us on this earth. They are our soulmates, a very big piece of our lives, and hearts. Seeing young Sherpa hurts my heart because of how old and frail he is now. I love both boys so much. I wish animals lived longer.
My oldest Husky is 14 like Sherpa. She has good days and not so good days, but she still will bounce around the house sometimes. As long as she is still doing that, I know she is still happy. I totally understand what you mean though. I can remember when she and her brother were puppies.
My GSD rescue will be 13 years old 17th June. He needs a plank to walk up to the car as his hind legs can hardly support him. I cheer him on (and help him up and down stairs and such) but my heart, sometimes, is heavy. As long as my 'old man' is happy, I'm happy! 🐾💚👣

Your comment reminded me of 2009 when I had two dogs and one had to be put to sleep, the one left a Springer Spaniel [Holly] started going downhill fast, the vet couldn't find anything wrong, then I realized Holly was missing the other dog.
Off to the rescue center we went and they brought out a 3 year old Border Collie Cross, Jess ran up to Holly like she was an old friend [from a previous life?] the two of them got on like a house on fire and Holly went to to her old self again, they would lie back to back/side by side even with Jess laying her head on Holly, sadly that friendship only lasted 10 months

My malamute said goodbye and crossed the rainbow bridge two years ago at the age of 14.5 years. His traces have disappeared, but the memories remain deep in my heart. I miss him ... A kiss on the snout to both of them. 😘😘

Thanks to both of your channels, you have helped me with my grief of losing not only my father on December 23, 2022 but my beloved fur baby Kiki on August 23 last year. Thanks to your channel, and the videos posted by Jamie that are archived for the ages, we will all be able to see our two most beloved fluffs play and have fun. Invite him for visits, stay in touch and give him an ear (or a shoulder to cry on) as he mourns his best friend in the world. Give Key extra biscuits and all the hugs and scratches. Have Nephew Nook, Granny and Bill help you to help him. We need him still and he will need all of us.

I turned the sound off and play Memories by Maroon 5 simultaneously. Besides Cesar Milan's pitbull, I don't think I've ever loved two dogs I've never met as much as I love Sherp and Key.
So hard to believe Sherpa is gone. I love both of these precious BLESSINGS.
We must all remember how very special Sherpa was and Key still is. RIP Lord Sherpa. You were the best "older brother " to Key as well as his best friend. My most deep condolences to Key, Jody and "the biscuit lady" Nan as you all grieve the loss of such a special relationship.
Jody - please maintain your close ties with Jamie. Encourage him to visit with you and Key as often as possible over the coming months while he's grieving the loss of such an amazing partnership with Sherpa. I believe just being with Key will ease a bit of his sense of loneliness and overwhelming grief. Jamie has made the most loving but hardest decision we all face as pet parents. None of us who truly bond so tightly with our fur babies are ever ready to say goodbye. We must do what are minds are telling us is right for them, to put an end to their suffering, while knowing that our own emotional suffering will begin with their departure from our earthly lives.
When Jamie has begun to see a life for himself again, please gently discuss with him how Sherpa would understand him getting another Malamute as a different type of fur kid (a sort of "second child") and a new friend for Key. I'm sure Key will gladly show this "second kid" all of the tricks his "older brother" Sherpa taught him. You have so lovingly documented this special relationship between Sherpa and Key. It's something we as humans strive toward but often don't achieve in our human relationships.
Please encourage Jamie to consider contacting a Malamute rescue. I'm sure there are many dogs in need of such a loving, caring new dad. Older dogs especially need someone willing to give them a chance at being wanted and understood.
Would you consider creating merchandise with Sherpa and Key together? This could be sold as a way to raise funds for Sherpa's final expenses and to help Jamie recover financially from the loss of TH-cam income.
