I work in fast food as a manager. On Friday night, a couple came through the drive thru with their dog. I immediately started crying. Why? The dog was not only a malamute, but had the SAME MARKINGS ON THE FACE AS SHERPA!! 😭😭 I ended up treating this special pup with the biggest pup cup I have ever made and included a nice sized piece of chicken nuggets in Sherpa's memory. And yes, Key knew. Dogs have a keener sense of smell and have been used in the past to detect areas of concern, be it cancer or a very bad infection, thus saving thousands of lives. We all miss him greatly, and he visits you everyday. Stay strong for all of us. ❤
and also the video jodie did before the sherpas passing one was key looking distracted looking at the door i have a feeling that was sherpa visiting him one last time before going over the rainbow bridge

Looking back I believe you are right, Key was trying to tell Jamie that something was seriously wrong with Sherpa. We all chalked it up to his recent surgery. But it was more than that. Unfortunately, it didn’t change anything for Sherpa. Key was very loving with Sherpa, it was very moving to see his concern for his best friend.
The fact that this last meeting was a happy one without any sense of it being the last time, made it all more special. And Key knew that something was going on with his bestie, as dogs are far more perceptive than humans could ever be.
It could be that Key could in fact smell it as they use dogs to sniff out cancer. I am glad Key and Sherpa got one good day together before his passing. It all still makes me so sad.
I'm completely convinced that they can detect a lot of injuries, sicknesses and stuff, because I've experienced several times were dogs have licked my hand or arm at places where I've hurt myself or had some kind of painful issue, sort of like they were trying to heal it or make me feel better. Makes me wonder if dogs are natural healers, especially considering what lovely emotions they evoke from us humans.
One thing that strikes me is that Key knew his old friend was tired and hurting, and he was really gentle. He was all, “C’mon old buddy, you’re slowing down, but you and me can still go get into mischief.” And when he saw the old boy lying down, he’d be, “All righty. You do you, it’s all good.” I know you miss that old boy terribly, and I know Key will miss his partner in crime. Hopefully Key will come to understand why his bestie can’t come around anymore; maybe he’s already figured it out. But man, these two loved each other, and their last day together was a good one. ❤❤❤

@Debra.Justice Yes I agree with you, Key knew. If you look at some more recent Sherpa and Key video play dates, you’ll see Key is sniffing Sherpa’s bum a lot. Key smelled the cancer, they say it isn’t conclusive on the research they need to continue research on it to see if it is conclusive. If their findings show that dogs can and do detect cancer they will start using dogs to help with Cancer screenings on people and animals. Rats and other animals can detect disease in their mates.
They had the most beautiful friendship! Apparently dogs can smell cancer in humans so I reckon that Key could smell it in Sherpa, it wouldn't surprise me at all. Yes Key knew, dogs smell it and if you see at 3.49 Sherp feels vulnerable and is voicing it, he could smell it within himself. Seeing this now you see the cancer was there, you did amazing for your boy and releasing them from the pain is the last act of love we can do for them. Key probably knew Sherpa wasn't well. Dogs can detect tumours. You can tell Sherpa wasn't feeling well at all. Poor baby, he was probably suffering a lot, but did so gracefully. ❤
Key certainly knew something was up. On Jodie’s channel she warned Key not to be too boisterous around Sherps… and it stood out how little roughhousing that Key did with Sherps. He really did understand and was very gentle - which was not how they usually loved to play. ❤ Bless you all
You could be right Jamie, Key definitely had a good smell, and as research is starting to show, dogs can sniff out these things. 2 very clever doggo’s.
I think Key has known for a while that Sherpa was sick. Animals know things that we don't find out till later and I was sad to know that they will not play together here anymore but I think Key said goodbye to him in his own way as he probably knew that Sherpa was not well. So glad they had 10 years together.
If ever you feel sad Jamie just remember the amazing memories of you and beautiful beautiful Sherpa he is one fur baby that has made our hearts swell xx
Jamie, I always loved the way the boys greeted everyone. As soon as Jodi opens the door the boys rush in very quickly. Next, K'ey runs back to greet Jamie. He never neglects Jamie. Then they plant their hineys right in front of the biscuit lady and await her treats. It's the same play each and every time. Simply adorable 🥰
Key knew something was off. You could tell as he picked up on the scent when he sniffed Sherpa’s side. You could also tell in the sound of Key’s howl as Sherpa was not able to respond as he usually would or react. God bless him 🐾

I’m so sorry for your loss. I have a Husky that looks like these two and she is 12yo. I love their personalities and l have enjoyed the videos you have shared. Huskies are one of the most surrendered breed. Please rescue one when you are ready in Sherpa ‘s memory 🙏🏻

I do believe Ke'yush smelled the tumor as Sherpa walked past him. Key also seemed gentler with him. I believe Key knew. They will meet at the rainbow bridge one day. Horses do the same thing; knowing everything going on in their herd. My cats were glued to me when I took radiation and chemo. They were trying to make me feel better! Next time you go see Key talk to him about Sherpa and he will tell you! I am sure he has seen Sherpa. We don't give animals near enough credit for their abilities! (I don't know if you know about Stepanie Jarvis on you tube Chateau Diaries. They had a Polish Ratter. Her first dog ever. Lancelot like Sherpa was delightful! Brought such joy to everyone just like Sherpa! He started swelling like a balloon several days ago. Rushed him to the ER and other vets. Lancelot passed. They are devastated. He was not 2.)

Yes I agree with you, Key knew. If you look at some more recent Sherpa and Key video play dates, you’ll see Key is sniffing Sherpa’s bum a lot. Key smelled the cancer, they say it isn’t conclusive on the research they need to continue research on it to see if it is conclusive. If their findings show that dogs can and do detect cancer they will start using dogs to help with Cancer screenings on people and animals. Rats and other animals can detect disease in their mates.
They had the most beautiful friendship! Apparently dogs can smell cancer in humans so I reckon that Key could smell it in Sherpa, it wouldn't surprise me at all. The pictures of Sherp at the end were so beautiful, thank you for continuing to share your sweet boy with us, I hope that it helps to heal your heart. 🐺💓🙏🏻❤🩹
Sad to watch knowing there won't be anymore playdateswith K'ey but we have so many wonderful memories of them together. I think K'ey could sense or smell that something was not right with Sherpa as dogs can detect cancer. Even if he didnt have much energy he still enjoyed his BFF. 💞💞
Yes Key knew, dogs smell it and if you see at 3.49 Sherp feels vulnerable and is voicing it, he could smell it within himself. Seeing this now you see the cancer was there, you did amazing for your boy and releasing them from the pain is the last act of love we can do for them. We all feel your pain we have been there and its the worst ever xx

Key probably knew Sherpa wasn't well. Dogs can detect tumours. You can tell Sherpa wasn't feeling well at all. Poor baby, he was probably suffering a lot, but did so gracefully. ❤

Key certainly knew something was up. On Jodie’s channel she warned Key not to be too boisterous around Sherps… and it stood out how little roughhousing that Key did with Sherps. He really did understand and was very gentle - which was not how they usually loved to play. ❤ Bless you all

You could be right Jamie, Key definitely had a good smell, and as research is starting to show, dogs can sniff out these things. 2 very clever doggo’s.
I think Key has known for a while that Sherpa was sick. Animals know things that we don't find out till later and I was sad to know that they will not play together here anymore but I think Key said goodbye to him in his own way as he probably knew that Sherpa was not well. So glad they had 10 years together.
Look at Sherpa smiling away when he's lying on the floor! He was happy to see his friend despite all the discomfort and stress.
If ever you feel sad Jamie just remember the amazing memories of you and beautiful beautiful Sherpa he is one fur baby that has made our hearts swell xx

This is a difficult one to watch. Tears, lots of tears. I will always love you dearest Sherpa.
Jamie, I always loved the way the boys greeted everyone. As soon as Jodi opens the door the boys rush in very quickly. Next, K'ey runs back to greet Jamie. He never neglects Jamie. Then they plant their hineys right in front of the biscuit lady and await her treats. It's the same play each and every time. Simply adorable 🥰
Key knew something was off. You could tell as he picked up on the scent when he sniffed Sherpa’s side. You could also tell in the sound of Key’s howl as Sherpa was not able to respond as he usually would or react. God bless him 🐾
It's hard to watch this video without crying. I also think that Key suspected that it might be the last time with his best friend because he sensed that Sherpa was sick. Thank you, Jamie, for sharing this with all of us. I wish you a lot of strength for the coming time.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I have a Husky that looks like these two and she is 12yo. I love their personalities and l have enjoyed the videos you have shared. Huskies are one of the most surrendered breed. Please rescue one when you are ready in Sherpa ‘s memory 🙏🏻

I do believe Ke'yush smelled the tumor as Sherpa walked past him. Key also seemed gentler with him. I believe Key knew. They will meet at the rainbow bridge one day. Until then, Sherpa is playing with our husky, Nakita, running the fields and chasing each other. Enjoying marvelous treats and waiting for us to join them. @@SherpasDay Dogs are wise souls. They can see, hear and smell way beyond us. They are pack animals. They even hear the heart beats. Horses do the same thing; knowing everything going on in their herd. My cats were glued to me when I took radiation and chemo. They were trying to make me feel better! Next time you go see Key talk to him about Sherpa and he will tell you! I am sure he has seen Sherpa. We don't give animals near enough credit for their abilities! (I don't know if you know about Stepanie Jarvis on you tube Chateau Diaries. They had a Polish Ratter. Her first dog ever. Lancelot like Sherpa was delightful! Brought such joy to everyone just like Sherpa! He started swelling like a balloon several days ago. Rushed him to the ER and other vets. Lancelot passed. They are devastated. He was not 2.)
