    I love that this channel doesn't double dip, as they like to say, by not saying or listing the full measurements/ingredients and making us click ad ridden sites instead for more money. It's gotten so annoying that I refuse to do it anymore. Thank you for adding it under the video!!

    Made these today and it was - as always with Chef Jana - delicious and very easy to put together. TIP for those trying out this recipe: be patient with the TVP, because it can take a loooong time for the broth to be completely absorbed (15-20 minutes in my case).
    Unfortunately, there were no "meat"balls left for freezing after my husband was done with dinner ;-)
    Will definitely be making these again! YUM

    I love your show and I would love using this recipe as my go-to meatball recipe. They were delicious, but I don't know what I did wrong when I fried them because they did not stay together. The outside was crisp but they fell apart. I had added an extra tablespoon of wheat gluten too when I formed them. The TVP I used were cubes so I chopped them into small pieces to start. I just don't know what went wrong. They meatballs were so tastie too. I ended up using them as crumbles on top of the spaghetti. ...so good. Help!

    • @ChefJana
      @ChefJana  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A couple things might have gone wrong; have you processed it? It is very important to process it so everything glues together. Also, because you have used chunks instead of fine curls, it might have not cooked long enough, resulting in a loose dough.

    • @drmulder1
      @drmulder1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can add them to a baking sheet separately and put them in the freezer, once the balls are firm, transfer them to aplastic bag, seal it and return them to the freezer. :)

      You can try oatmeal flour, then add soaked chia seeds or soaked flaxseeds, add the oatmeal flour, the chia or flaxseed and let it test for 20 minutes, just like the recipe asked for. It might need a few teaspoons of water, you’ll be the judge of that. 😉❤️

      @@ChefJana Thank you for the tip! I was thinking oat flour would be a good alternative but with the chia mix, it will probably help even more to bind everything together. I can't wait to try this recipe now! I will let you know how it works! You deserve so much more subscribers! Your recipes are fabulous and you provide so many tips! It makes all the difference when you try to go meatless.

    We call this cuisine as "Kofta". This ball can be made with any vegetable, dairy or meat. Bind it with any kind of flour such as lentils or all purpose flour, add few spices such as chilli, coriander, onion, garlic, ginger etc and salt. Roll them into balls and keep in the refridgerator for a while and deep fry them. Throw them into tomato, onion and spicy gravy and enjoy as a side dish with rice or flatbread.

    Can they be boiled? Like used in a meatball soup? Or cook first then add to soup

      I haven’t tried boiling them, but if you’re trying to avoid finding them, you can put them in the air fryer if you have one and they should be perfect ❤️
