My approach to using this cleansing milk involves applying a generous amount onto my dry face initially. I gently massage it using my fingertips. Next, I wet my palm with some water and continue massaging my face until it emulsifies. Afterward, I rinse my face thoroughly with water and follow up with a foaming facial cleanser.
Does it work though??
Your makeup are awesoooooooooome❤
Thanks very helpful ❤️

Thank you this was very helpful 🤩
Glad it was helpful!🥰
I just got rid of that cleanser as I tried it twice with time apart and both times it broke me out with deep cystic acne.
which one La Roche Posay? Do you have oily skin? And how did you use it, and what else did you use? 🤔
Excellent need some mor details for my extra oily face
How can I help you?
Thank you
Hi, I currently have hormonal acne and I don’t wear makeup daily but I do wear mineral sunscreen daily. I currently use the La Roche posay milk dermo cleanser. Do you think I should use this as a second or first cleanser, or even just as a stand-alone?
Hey! :)
What's your skin type?
What skincare products do you use?
If you have oily-acne prone skin, I recommend using a balm cleanser (which you can use in the AM as well) primarily in the evening to remove your mineral sunscreen and/or makeup. Like for example Beauty of Joseon Cleansing Balm, The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser, or Geek & Gorgeous Mighty Melt Cleansing Balm.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficialhey what should be my skincare routine with cleaning milk......
Hello , can i use a cleansing milk as the first step of the double cleansing method ?
Hey :)
what are you trying to remove?
But double cleansing is generally used to remove mineral sunscreen or heavily pigmented makeup. So the oil/balm cleanser breaks it down, and then you follow with your foaming or treatment cleanser to target your specific skin type or concerns.

Hey Melissa! can you please tell me which "The Ordinary Retinoid" should i use if i have an history of using "isotretinoin gel"(derm prescribed)?
I'd like to know that too
Melissa, please answer. I have same concern. Can't find anything on the google tho 😕
This is weird. 🫣 But anyway, I take it seriously. So why don't you guys use the gel anymore? And why did you use it in the first place 🤔
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial Derm prescribed it to me for acne. It's basically a topical version of isotretinoin which is more popular and has a lot of content about. I am really confused as to which The Ordinary retinoid will suit me? Currently using Granactive 2% since last month. Dont know if i can expect any effects.
@@JavariasTestKitchen Well, the best way to do it is to try it and see if it shows you benefits after a while. And let me know if it helps. The thing is, since these products have never been studied, you cannot tell if they are really effective, but as long as they do not harm the skin, it shouldn't be an issue 😉
Can i Just wash it after applying with fingers without using anything to wipe? My face is extremely sensitive to any kind of physical exfoliation, when i wipe with either of them, my barrier gets disrupted.
Yes, that's fine! However, the washcloth I used is extremely soft. The fabric is different from your common washcloths :)
Hey just wondering is micellar milk a cleanser for acne prone skin
It could work, yes. However, I recommend rinsing it off (as shown in the video) since you have already acne-prone skin.
Hi should i remove it off my face after using like wash it of or just leave.it on
Please watch the video :)
Can i use it as a first cleanser for double cleanser?
Yes :)
Hey my skin type is dry I've tried every facewash but they just tend to dry my skin so I'm thinking about using cleansing milk in a place of facewash, is it okay? To use it as a facewash for regular usage twice a day
Yes, that's okay. However, could you tell me which face washes or cleansers you have tried so far? Also, do you know your skin type?
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial I've tried all the cleansers available in Indian market 🥲 but whenever I wash my face it gets dry and tight but after 3-4 hours it gets oily , i haven't tried Cetaphil and cerva cleanser yet bcus they are way to expensive for my pocket but i tried bioderma atoderma soap and that's also dries my face and i tried simple facewash but that makes my skin oily nd complexion dark
Yes, I understand.
The dry and tight feeling may happen because of the wrong cleanser if it is not the right for your needs it may do that.
CeraVe is also very expensive in the indian market, still cetaphil should be available at an okay price in india. But have you tried be minimalist products? Because they have some great products at an affordable price I even tested some.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial ya sure but first let me try cleansing milk i never tried that one before le me try that first then I will order Cetaphil or minimalist.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial can I ask u one more thing please i used a soap and i think it suits me means I didn't feel any dryness after using it but everyone is saying that it's bad for your skin it will harm your natural oils of your skin but only this soap is the only thing that didn't let my skin dry , so what should I do ? Should I used that soap or not ? The name of the soap is no. 1 chandan soap it's available in Indian market and it's super cheap like you can get 8 soaps in 1 dollar.
can I just wash it off when finish cleansing with my fingers and some water? I don't have cotton pads
Do you mean rinsing it off normally? That should work, yes.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial thanks ☺️
Please, can I just rinse it with water without any towel and the dry it? Thank you
Yes :)

I haven't tried a cleansing milk. Can you suggest a few to try? In summer my skin is usually oily and I only wear mascara and a tinted lip balm
BTW, I'm still here just haven't been commenting as much lately but still watch most of your videos
Have a wonderful week!
Hey! :)
Since your skin is a bit oilier during Summer, why don't you use a gentle cleanser? Like a gel or foaming cleanser. And during Winter, when the skin is drier use a cleansing milk.
La Roche Posay Dermo-Cleanser, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, Nivea or Garnier.

Thanks I'll continue with my cera ve until I use it up

Thank u so much
Can I use cleansing milk and then salicylic acid face wash
Yes, that's fine! :)
Hi melissa, does the cleansing milk suit oily acne prone skin too ? I’m thinking to try the avene cleansing milk
I wouldn't recommend using it on oily, acne-prone skin. Instead, opt for micellar water, an oil cleanser, or a balm cleanser to effectively remove stubborn sunscreen and/or makeup. After that, follow up with a gel-to-foam or foaming cleanser. Alternatively, you can use just a gel-to-foam or foaming cleanser, depending on what you need to remove from your skin.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial yea i think micellar water and balm would be better, these option not gonna clog the pores, right ? Alright tysm
No, just make sure to properly rinse everything off the skin.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial oh so all of these might leave a residue on skin if not clean properly? Thanks for the advicee
@@ashgreyorsilver Well, any product can leave a residue if not properly taken off the skin.
My skin is oily and i have pimples also can i use the cleansing milk
Yes, although I would recommend a mild foaming cleanser, such as Beauty of Joseon Green Plum or The Ordinary Glucoside Foaming Cleanser - or a Salicylic Acid Cleanser. I also suggest investigating the root causes of your acne, such as lack of sleep, stress or mental health issues, environmental factors, or your diet (such as consuming too much sugar, processed food, fast food, or any food intolerance).
Should we wash our face with face wash or soap after cleansing?
You cleansing milk is your cleanser/soap/facewash :)
Should we use face wash after this step...of cleansing milk
no the cleansing milk is your cleansing step 🙂
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial Can I use it daily in place of facewash??
@@ShahidKhan-ks5ps Yes :)
❤❤❤
Can i use cleansing milk as an oil cleanser
Well you can use cleansing milk as an alternative to an oil cleanser, especially if you prefer a more gentle, hydrating cleanser or if your skin reacts adversely to oil-based products.
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial can i follow with a water based cleanser after
@@nu7770 Yes, I think that's actually a great video. I will record that one in the coming days. Thanks. :)
Can i leave it overnight on my face iam waiting for your reply
No, it's a cleanser, so you need to remove it as demonstrated.

Hi Melissa
Hello Eric, glad that you are still alive 😉

@@ericsmith2855 That's good!
I'm good, I hope you're doing fine as well :)
@@MelissaVanDijkOfficial that's good to hear I'm doing good
Can I use it daily in place of facewash??
yes, you can. If it is suitable for your needs :)
Are you using it daily as a facewash??
You Don’t need any moisturizer baby
This is what I do for my skin care routine
1. Wash your face with lukewarm water, and once dry
2. Pour cleansing milk into a cotton pad and clean your entire face with it
In case you have makeup on, add cleansing milk to cotton and delicately knead your cleansing milk into your face and neck, covering all zones
Cleansing milk, once applied, shouldn't be washed off. Instead, the ingredients should be left to be consumed by the skin for better results
In case you have applied the milk cleanser in excess, you can easily clean it using a cotton ball or cotton cloth
Cleansing milk is one of a kind cleanser in a way that they are extraordinary and perfect for any skin type. Regardless of the skin, be it sensitive, dry, or even dehydrated, you can easily use cleansing milk to clear your skin
