    My approach to using this cleansing milk involves applying a generous amount onto my dry face initially. I gently massage it using my fingertips. Next, I wet my palm with some water and continue massaging my face until it emulsifies. Afterward, I rinse my face thoroughly with water and follow up with a foaming facial cleanser.

      @@JavariasTestKitchen Well, the best way to do it is to try it and see if it shows you benefits after a while. And let me know if it helps. The thing is, since these products have never been studied, you cannot tell if they are really effective, but as long as they do not harm the skin, it shouldn't be an issue 😉

    Hi, I currently have hormonal acne and I don’t wear makeup daily but I do wear mineral sunscreen daily. I currently use the La Roche posay milk dermo cleanser. Do you think I should use this as a second or first cleanser, or even just as a stand-alone?

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! :)
      What's your skin type?
      What skincare products do you use?
      If you have oily-acne prone skin, I recommend using a balm cleanser (which you can use in the AM as well) primarily in the evening to remove your mineral sunscreen and/or makeup. Like for example Beauty of Joseon Cleansing Balm, The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser, or Geek & Gorgeous Mighty Melt Cleansing Balm.

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hey :)
      what are you trying to remove?
      But double cleansing is generally used to remove mineral sunscreen or heavily pigmented makeup. So the oil/balm cleanser breaks it down, and then you follow with your foaming or treatment cleanser to target your specific skin type or concerns.

      I wouldn't recommend using it on oily, acne-prone skin. Instead, opt for micellar water, an oil cleanser, or a balm cleanser to effectively remove stubborn sunscreen and/or makeup. After that, follow up with a gel-to-foam or foaming cleanser. Alternatively, you can use just a gel-to-foam or foaming cleanser, depending on what you need to remove from your skin.

      Yes, although I would recommend a mild foaming cleanser, such as Beauty of Joseon Green Plum or The Ordinary Glucoside Foaming Cleanser - or a Salicylic Acid Cleanser. I also suggest investigating the root causes of your acne, such as lack of sleep, stress or mental health issues, environmental factors, or your diet (such as consuming too much sugar, processed food, fast food, or any food intolerance).

    This is what I do for my skin care routine
    1. Wash your face with lukewarm water, and once dry
    2. Pour cleansing milk into a cotton pad and clean your entire face with it
    In case you have makeup on, add cleansing milk to cotton and delicately knead your cleansing milk into your face and neck, covering all zones
    Cleansing milk, once applied, shouldn't be washed off. Instead, the ingredients should be left to be consumed by the skin for better results
    In case you have applied the milk cleanser in excess, you can easily clean it using a cotton ball or cotton cloth
    Cleansing milk is one of a kind cleanser in a way that they are extraordinary and perfect for any skin type. Regardless of the skin, be it sensitive, dry, or even dehydrated, you can easily use cleansing milk to clear your skin
