This is amazing content. Super helpful and also very engaging. I just found out about this new Adobe feature, and now using it-as well as learning about the proper types of tags and all the standard tag stuff when it comes to document tagging-doesn’t seem daunting!
Excited to check out your other videos.
Glad you found it useful. Thank you! :)
Every time I try to use Autotag, it makes nonstandard tags that fail all the accessibility checkers. "Aside" and "FE-Note" are not real tags and I don't know why it is coming up with these. Unless the document is extremely simple, it seems to me that Autotag does more harm than good. Is there any way to stop it from doing this?
Yeah, as of now the new auto tag feature is not perfect, but I always like to say that it creates a starting point for the tag structure. But at the end of the day nothing will ever replace a set of human eyes and manually adjusting the reading order and tag structure
1. Is there a way to use auto-tagging to help with generating bookmarks? ChatGPT suggested that it's possible.
| Using Document Structure:
| If your PDF has a clear structure with headings, Acrobat can generate bookmarks based on these headings.
| Go to "Tools" > "Accessibility" > "Autotag Document".
| This will analyze the document structure and create bookmarks based on headings.
2. Also, when generating bookmark, you can control + B to generate the bookmark and type in your bookmark title. But then to go own to bookmark the next page you have to mouse to the page and click so you can scroll to the next page and control + B again to add the next ... and over and over. There has to be a way to bookmark with keyboard only, right? I can't figure out how to do it without the mouse.
Ill need to look into this a little bit my friend. Appreciate the support!
