Here's a question I expect a "hell no" to:
Is there a way to create a fillable and sortable spreadsheet inside an existing PDF document?
There's one part of the document that I need an 11 column sheet with undefined number of rows that is to be filled by the users, then can be resorted by the user or auto-resorted if that's easier.
I'm guessing there's no way to do this, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
@@TheCaniblcat Yes it is easy, The hard part is getting a good training place.
I don't have any option for prepare form. I do have pro
Excellent content. I've needed to know how to do this for a long time, and finally searched for the info.....and here you are. Thanks!
This year I started working as a product designer and countless designs have passed through my hands. But I've never experienced an interactive PDF anywhere. I am very grateful for this video. Short and easy understandable. 😄You saved my life. Thank you very much! 😇

Thank you so much this really helped me out!! you are awesome!!
Glad it helped! Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!
Very helpful video. Thanks
So helpful!
Very clear and made simple. Thank you! How about if the form needs to be signed? How does someone typing their name comes out in a seemingly handwritten signature? And how do they get the instruction that by typing their name, they are agreeing it will translate as a formal signature?
Such a great office tool that was unknown to me till now
I'm so happy you discovered this video. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!
This is FANTASTIC! Thank you so much. I made a fillable form via Word, then converted to PDF. I can fill in the form fine on my windows computer, but not on my iphone or ipad. Is there a way around that? Like would I have to start a brand new form in Adobe from the beginning? I hope that makes sense. :)
Thanks Misty. This video was very great and easy to follow. I will be creating a fillable PDF for my department very soon. 🦉
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!
Thank you so much for this amazing explanation.
You're very welcome! Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!
Thanks for the help. 2 meetings and three days of emails back n forth about creating editable forms and all it took was a 10 minute video.
Glad it helped! Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!
Thank you. I feel like you may have just leveled up my tech skills and stream lined my job
Glad I could help!
You rock! this was great.
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!
Omg, the future is now. Thanks for this!!
This is super helpful. Is there any way to change field properties en masse - for example, I want all of my fields to be left aligned but they've defaulted to centred. I can see how to do them one by one, but can I change them all?
This is awesome! Thank you!!
Glad you like it! Thanks for commenting and watching. I appreciate you!
Wonderful video. How do I add the various choices from a drop down box?
I completed the steps as you show, but how do you save a fillable doc that I can then send to my customers to fill in?
thank you sooo much
i love you SO HELPFUL HAHA
I have a fillable form that i use but as soon as i save it the form no longer becomes fillable. When i click the prepare tab i can still see all of the drop tabs and calendar tabs but i no longer have access to them.
Thank you very much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching.
Need to learn how to create forms with calculation fields. Do you have video on that?
Hi good video. The Nameing Convention is not good if the form might import or export data. Blanks spaces and , can be fatal. Use A-Z a-z 1-0 and underscore to help the developers.
Thank You😊
You're welcome 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!
super and thanks
Welcome 😊! Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate you.
How to create a 2 drop down field depending on each other.
Eg. 1st field is country name and second field shall give the city names of that particular county as value.
Upon changing the country name in first field the name cities in second field to be changed according to selected county name in first field.
Your tutorial was straightforward and easy to follow. I was able to create a fillable client intake form and I saved it to my documents so that I could send manually to my clients. My clients are able to fill out the form via a computer, but not via cell phone. Is there a way around this? It would make the process much easier for those who do not have access to a computer. Thanks.
Did you figure this out?....What if you sent the form through email (By selecting the e signature option) instead of sending it manually just as a document?
cool video! my problrm is, i need my fonts in a bigger size than 18pt for my form. how can i solve this? (the biggest size acrobat allows is 18pt)
Is there anyway to change the size of a PDF fillable document from Letter to A4 or Half page without losing any fillable areas or needing to adjust boxes to fit the areas?
Hi, this video was helpful thank you-so after creating a form and needing to send to a client, would I send directly to their email from adobe and then when they are finished it would alert me and I can save to their file? this is the part I am stuck on if you have a video on that?
When you are done with the form, you will email it to the client. When the client is done, the client will need to email the form back. You'll be alerted to the email they send back. However, if you're just sending a questionnaire to a client to fill out, I would encourage you to look at Microsoft Forms. You can send questions to your client to answer, and when they are done and submit their response, you'll receive an email alerting you to their response form. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!
Would be great to know how to align any of the text as well as change text sizing. Acrobat is giving me the options but then nothing changes. Can anyone help?
How do you send out the fillable form to someone else to fill out?
How do I link one data with the other e. g when you select a drop down, it auto complete the other fields depending on what you have selected?
Hi Misty! Thanks for your video. I was about to get started on making my own fillable form, but I'm not able to upload the document I need to edit. I have tried to upload it as both a PDF and a Word document and I keep getting the error below.
"Can't upload 1 item[s]. Only .psd, .ai, .xd file formats are supported"
Do you know what I need to do to fix this?
I just started using Acrobat Pro. I can't even find where to begin. I uploaded a file and my page looks NOTHING like your starting page. I wish you would have started at the absolute beginning.
Hi! I have PDF workbooks in the Hebrew Language on FlipHTML5 but they are not fillable like other books I see on line for children, How do I accomplish making my PDF workbooks fillable? Do I need to make a fillable workbook for each customer that makes a purchase?
Hello, i created a fillable form to put on our website for people to fill out then send to us. It has pop up boxes that show from the owner of the file but we don;t want it to show that. how do i make it simple for them to fill out and download a copy with out having to show owner of file or extra stuff.
When I do the checkbox, the checkboxes appear bigger. Is there a way to modify the checkboxes? Thanks
Adobe Pro filled in my form the way I wanted but it center aligned all of the fields and I can't figure out how to change the fields to left aligned as needed. Edit PDF doesn't work. Please help!
It does ask for the file in a PC environment.
Thank you!
Hello how are you? Would your litigation paralegal e-course be useful for someone like myself who is completely new to the industry but wants to learn the basics of litigation and what a paralegal needs to know to embark on a career or is it just for individuals who are already experienced?
Hello! The Civil Litigation E-Course is for newer or less-experienced Paralegals. The E-course is designed to go through the civil litigation industrial line, teach you how to work through each phase of a civil case in litigation, empowers you with the information to index case data, provides you with dozens of templates, and so much more. This course will take you through the basics, but will empower you to keep the learning momentum going. Let me know if you have additional questions or need anything further. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!
@@ArrowConsultants_MistyMurray ok thanks so much!
How do you do this in the online version ?
for some reason I am not able to type in the field after following the instructions. It looks like yours but not fillable. help pls. :(
How do you merge multiple pdf fillable documents into one pdf document without losing the fillable option.
Great vid. Is it possible to create a form with a customized shape?
I don't believe so. I'm able to modify the size of the rectangle it gives me, but I'm unable to mold that rectangle into another shape. Hopefully, I understood your question correctly. Thanks for watching. Glad you liked it. Thanks for commenting as well. I appreciate you!
@@ArrowConsultants_MistyMurray Thanks for trying! I appreciate you! Have a wonderful day!
I use it just infrequently enough that I forget how to do some of the things!
Isn't it crazy how much we lose when we don't use? Thanks for watching!
7:42 - So here's the mystery I can't solve with the fillable fields, but maybe Misty can. 🙂
I want to have the name of the field appear inside the field, and when the user clicks on the field, the name disappears and then the user can type into the field.
Possible?
Right now I see ' Default Value' under Options, where you could put the name of the field in there. However the snag is when you click on the field, it doesn't disappear - you have to delete that text value in order to put in the new content into the field.
Hope it's clear as mud. Otherwise this is a technote/upgrade request for the Adobe developers!
My first try with Adobe Acrobat, and this is my first video. She talks about the search tools on the right, which always are open. However, Acrobat on my PC doesn't show them on the right, and she doesn't tell us how to display them there.
0 for 1. On to the next video. 😬
How do you SAVE the form without all the blue backgrounds showing up???
thank you, very helpfull
Do you have a guide on how to extract the data or import the data to something?
Can you be more specific? Extract the data from what, and import the data where? I'm almost certain I don't have the guide you're looking for, but if you can be more specific, perhaps I can create one 😀. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!
@@ArrowConsultants_MistyMurray I want to use this at work for client info database. Is there a way to drop all the filled out forms into a folder and then they sync over to MS Access or some sort of SQL database?
stuck on step 1- cant even find prepare or the side tool bar
I try creating PDFs and the calculations intermingling works
using Mac; it says create not start; having issues...but thanks for the video.
Perfeito
Obrigada 😊
Do you know if I create a fillable form in Adobe Pro.... can I then use an excel spreadsheet to bulk fill the form?
Yes as a trainee I’m being trained into using acrobat and excel to automate forms and data extraction
Hello I had a form tht I did according to your vid but when I email it out it is no longer fillable am I doing something wrong?
This is my problem as well. Did you ever figure it out?
When I follow the first few steps i get an error saying " This XFA form cannot be edited using Adobe Acrobat"
That may mean the document is protected from being altered. If you downloaded the form and it already had fillable fields, it's possible you cannot modify it. From what I understand, this error code means that you must separately purchase a license for LiveCycle Designer in order to modify the PDF. Search "How to Edit XFA forms" here on TH-cam and I bet you'll find some videos that may provide you with a tip or hack. Good luck! Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!
Is it possible to make the name visible in the text field?
The name of the field? Not to my knowledge, but that's a good topic to explore. Alternatively, you can add a tip, and when the user hovers over the fillable field, it will provide additional direction. Hope this helps in some way. Thanks for watching and sending me a question. I appreciate you!
@@ArrowConsultants_MistyMurray I added the tip method! Thank you.
I am on Windows and it ask the something at the beginning.
Good to know. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!
had a headache trying to understand any of this 10 seconds in give me a pen and paper
why is it then when i save the file as a .pdf and email it, it is no longer fillable - just a plain .pdf. you did not cover this.
Same question! I need help 😩
it's not working...
☠BLACK BARON☠7:26 ... If the PDF Forms Designer has chosen 28pt as typo size ... for sure, there is not much space left for entering long values.
I think you’re really attractive
It's pronounced data not data.
The instructions are a joke. I struggled for two hours trying to create forms using your instructions. I have several Adobe subscriptions and all your instructions created was a mangled mess.
It looks like you're one of a few people since the comments are pretty full of people who haven't struggled, didn't find this video to be a joke, and continue to use the tools I taught them through this video. Perhaps you should reach out to one of them to help you. Good luck! 🤓

Very good
Yup
