      He's given away our secret. The world wonders how we can live alongside so many venomous, aggressive, predatory creepy crawlies and not be at all worried. We just speak their language and everyone gets along like old mates.

    Fun facts, sea snakes are quite venemous and you absolutely do not want to get bitten by one. The difference between them and regular snakes is that they have flat bodies so they can glide over the water whereas land snakes are more round to slither on different surfaces. Sea snakes are a bit more docile than land snakes since they don't come into contact with people as much in the open water so that's why it was chill around that guy. Great video Greg!

    (5:21) As an scuba diver, there are some places in the world that are quite murky with an average vision distance of 4 meters. There are some places (especially near tropical waters) where water is very clear. However, if you are diving in a pelagic or open ocean area, the hazy water can be seen, but just further away from you. To answer your question, yes & no. Some cameras that are designed specifically for diving use can create high quality photos. However, shots from an iPhone can be very different. Hope this somewhat helps with your question:)

      Yeah the visibility in the video is still really good. Mostly in freshwater it can get so bad that you have to dive almost shoulder to shoulder with your dive buddy. Lights are a must. Some factors that go into it: divers kicking up silt, recent heavy rains, algal bloom... Here's a video I found: th-cam.com/video/9PC2nzaZ83U/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=255Vicks

    The transition of a camera going through the surface of water always makes me tense up. You never know what could be right there waiting for you.

And not only fear of being sucked into the huge prop(s) of the ship , but also anger at how stupid the guy was . And why was the motor of his jet ski sounding like that ? The 7 mile bridge leads to key west! I've been going since I was younger and I can concur it is- an interesting experience lol on one hand it's got an amazing view of the ocean, but it's pretty eerie at the same time especially when it's raining. I've always had a love/hate relationship with it bc of it. it's cool and beautiful but scary bc you're in the middle of the ocean via a bridge- as for whether it's worth it or not to get to the other side- it depends haha I haven't gone to the keys in years, so idk how it is now after hurricanes and renovations, but it was decent when I was younger. it's just an island with houses, hotels, shops/restaurants. the beaches aren't all that but it's not horrible.
    on either side of the bridge there are other bridges, one of which used to have a train but it's half demolished, and the other one is incomplete so it definitely gives you major creepy vibes

    The blackout at 18:00 is called “shallow water blackout”. It’s mainly related to Freedivers and spear fisherman. It’s directly linked to the depth you dive to, how long you are at that depth for and how long you wait at the surface in between each dive down. It can also be due to hyperventilating before/after. This guy is very lucky as, however uncommon, blackouts mostly happen when you’re at your diving depth, and if you’re untrained you can die very easily. When you pass out underwater your body automatically blocks your airways…. BUT if your snorkel is still in your mouth your body doesn’t do this and the snorkel act as a funnel and your tongue will relax and fill your lungs with water. These blackouts are very uncommon and can be easily prevented by taking adequate time between each dive and always diving with a buddy, it is absolutely essential to dive with a buddy and can not only make the dive easier but literally save your life. Oh did I mention the scary part? UWB can happen at any depth, 2M, 10M, 20M, any. Goes with a lot of drowning incidents, your lungs shut off at their entrance to the oesophagus so the rest of your throat, mouth and nose still floods with water

    I've seen the jet ski video many times but it gives me the chills every damn time I stumble upon it. This is legit my biggest fear.

    I grew up in Louisiana on a lake named Toledo Bend, and it's a man-made lake. The dammed up a river, and flooded the area, so there are trees sticking out of the water everywhere. I learned how to SCUBA in that lake AT the dam. On a good day, you'll have 12 foot visibility. I actually have pictures of it. I was 12

      @azuradawn5683 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dude... I feel you. Learning to SCUBA at 10 in Texas lakes was... uh, yeah, a lot. If everyone hadn't been constantly promising me that diving in the Caribbean would be totally different, I would not have made it to getting certified (did my final certification dive in Cozumel - they were all right lol). I will never understand people who voluntarily (for fun?!) go diving in our disgusting lakes where you can't see your own fins... While I don't feel the same things that Greg does for a lot of these videos, the super murky/underwater trees/wall dive ones? Nope nope nope nope.

    • @Brandon84J
      @Brandon84J 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually went to Cozumel 3 times, but I definitely learned to dive in seaweed and stumps.... The stories I could tell lol. I'm glad you finally went through with your cert
      (I accidentally hit the dislike, but I meant to hit like lol)

    Awesome video! I was seriously starting to get triggered from some of these videos. Trees underwater or sunken old towns by the bigger dams scare the crap out of me. The jet ski guy one scared me too. Lol

    Hey man in the black out clip more than likely the diver came up to fast and got what is called "decompression sickness". Has to do with the water pressure and the different gasses in your body. Coming up too fast from great depths could end your dive a little prematurely.

    • @kaisalati9197
      @kaisalati9197 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No. Decompression sickness doesn't really happen to freedivers as they are not breathing pressured air or gas underwater. This guy was having an "freediving blackout" likely provoked by hyperventilating before submerging.

    That second clip i was asking what the hell are we supposed to be lookin...oh dear God WTF is that, when that metal thing showed out of no where. Once again that was a triple whammy for me. Thallassophobia, megalophobia, and submechaniphobia.
    Dude on jet ski I hope learned trying to get close to big ass ships in the water is an incredibly needlessly stupid thing to do.
    Been on 7 mile bridge several times it goes from Miami to the Keys, there's even the old railway bridge next to it missing some it's pieces. It is a very cool drive though.
    That dark blue by the ledge with the two girls I'd be afraid to let go of the ledge afraid I'd fall into that darkness even though falling under water is no the easiest thing to do

    so all snakes are capable of swimming to some degree, but i think it just depends on the habitat they happen to live in. water snakes are in a different subfamily and generally feed on fish and amphibians but technically a land snake could swim if needed or to cool off.

    the ice on the surface happens on the great lakes too, mainly Superior and i wish it had the normal sound cause it sounds Amazing. 7 Mile bridge is one of the last bridges in a collection of FOURTY TWO total bridges that go between all the islands of the Florida Keys. 7MB connects Knights Key to Little Duck Key. It really is that long, and the old bridge is rusted out beside it and its nerve wracking but Amazing to be on lol
