Cool list! I loathe part 3 as well and usually skip it at this point. I just can’t stand how they made Jason a rapist that acts goofy af. I would still flip part 9 to be worse though, that is an actual crime against cinema lol. The only ones I rank substantially differently are part 1 and X. I think X is just super fun, and I thought part 1 was boring as a kid but love now, which is also an attitude I held toward TCM which is probably my favorite horror movie now.
I don’t know but I saw part 3 in the theater when it came out in 1982, my first 3D movie and all I can say is, it was a blast! It was fun. Loses a lot on a TV screen. Very clean and sharp effects, unlike Jaws 3 from the same year which had horrible effects. To me, Jason goes to Hell: The Final Friday is the absolute bottom of the barrel for me.

Interesting list! I personally never really cared much for Part 6 (the reviewer's favorite). I prefer 1-4 over all the other ones. There are two things I don't like about part 6. You see Jason too much and it kind of ruins the suspense for me. The first 4 (in particular, the first 2) are scarier to me because the screen is constantly blanketed in darkness and you can't see much beyond the intended victim. It's the same reason why the movie Jaws works so much better when you don't see the shark. One of my favorite shots from part 1 was when the girl was in the bathroom getting ready for bed and she looks at the shower stall. All the space around that shower curtain is pitch black, and you could swear you see the edge of the curtain pull back just a little bit. It's so creepy! I like those kinds of shots in Friday the 13th movies. The second thing I don't like about part 6 is the humor. Nothing takes the terror out of a scary movie like a lot of humor. The movie is almost self-aware (there are one or two scenes where you'd swear the characters know they're in a horror movie). Still a fun movie to watch, but it just doesn't have what I like most about Friday the 13th. In some ways, it's not mean-spirited enough. Still, thanks for posting your list!

Part 3 was my first Friday the 13th, so I have a nostalgic attachment to it, but I get it. I agree with everything except Part 5, it should be dead last on any list. The fact that Jason isn’t even in the movie, it’s just trash.
Bad take bro, a long time ago there was a time when there were well written female characters that had an insane arc and had to then slay an unstoppable monster. Kris in part 3 puts an axe into the head of a psychopath killer that has haunted her life and killed new friends and her lover. Don’t u dare put part 3 at the bottom 😂🤪🤪. Cool content tho! Hey! Cool list. I used to like Part 8 when I was little but quickly realized the dumpster fire that it is. It's all subjective, but I've always thought it's a coin flip between Part 8 and Goes to Hell as the WORST of the franchise. Part 3 is for sure bottom tier, but I can't quite give it the worst because the spear gun and handstand kills are up their as the best kills. With that said, the "rapist" Jason insinuation and obsesion with the barn were absurd. Keep up the great work.

@@strangemichaelhorror probably…lol. No jk. Everyone has their preferences with these movies. My opinion has changed over the years. I used to hate part 5, now I love it. I used to love the OG, now I find it not as great. Nice job on your video. Here’s my rankings I made last year. The rankings themselves are different but what I said is similar to some stuff you said. 1. Part 4: it’s the very best. The work of savini. Ted White is the best Jason. Great suspense. Fun characters. It’s the gold standard of Friday’s 2. Part 2: Arguably the best final girl in Ginny and definitely the scariest movie in the series. 3. Part 6: lots of fun. Zombie Jason isn’t my favorite but this movie had the best overall writing. It had a lot of charm and comedy to it. It was original. Megan is also my favorite final girl. 4. Part 3: It’s good in terms of suspense and probably has the best final girl showdown of the series. It rips off way too many parts of part 1 though so it somewhat lacks originality 5. Part 1: I may get a little flack for this. But this movie is overrated. The characters are pretty lame and there are a lot of very boring scenes. This movie is basically carried by Manfredini’s legendary score and Savini’s kills. I’ll still put in the top 5 because it’s importance and the impact it made on horror in general. But it definitely hasn’t aged well lol. 6. Remake: This one really had potential to be #1. Mears is great as Jason. It had good suspense. The characters are great. But…They screwed up on the plot…Whitney being the final girl over Jenna was a terrible move. Jason kidnapping was lame. And the sex is over the top and not really necessary. Watching a movie with others shouldn’t have scenes that make you feel awkward. Overall it’s decent but also a disappointment because of what could have been. 7. Part 5: Underrated. I don’t care about the Roy/Jason thing. This movie should be hated because it’s a bad movie…not because Jason isn’t the killer. The script is a joke. The direction is worse. The kills are also the lamest in the series with very little blood and creativity outside of Eddie’s death. However this movie is entertaining in a “so bad it’s good way.” It also has some of the very best characters who end up saving the movie with their hilarity. 8. Part 7: Not really their fault. The MPAA screwed them on the kills. Acting is horrendous and there’s no characters worth remembering other than Melissa. Props to Jason’s look though. These guys actually tried to make a real Friday movie for the fans…I’ll put this one over the rest for that 9. Part 8: Better characters than part 7 but just a pretty terrible movie. Kane Hodder is solid and you can tell really cares about the role 10. FVJ: The acting and script are really cringe. It’s too over the top in making the kills less fun and shocking and more silly. Easily the worst Jason in the franchise in terms of look and act. 11. JGTH: Some of the kills are cool but wow this is one weird movie and just doesn’t have the feel of a Friday film at all. 12. Jason X: “it sucks on so many levels”

It's all subjective, but I've always thought it's a coin flip between Part 8 and Goes to Hell as the WORST of the franchise. Part 3 is for sure bottom tier, but I can't quite give it the worst because the spear gun and handstand kills are up their as the best kills. With that said, the "rapist" Jason insinuation and obsesion with the barn were absurd. Keep up the great work.

@@strangemichaelhorror probably…lol. No jk. Everyone has their preferences with these movies. My opinion has changed over the years. I used to hate part 5, now I love it. I used to love the OG, now I find it not as great. Nice job on your video.
Here’s my rankings I made last year. The rankings themselves are different but what I said is similar to some stuff you said.
1. Part 4: it’s the very best. The work of savini. Ted White is the best Jason. Great suspense. Fun characters. It’s the gold standard of Friday’s
2. Part 2: Arguably the best final girl in Ginny and definitely the scariest movie in the series.
3. Part 6: lots of fun. Zombie Jason isn’t my favorite but this movie had the best overall writing. It had a lot of charm and comedy to it. It was original. Megan is also my favorite final girl.
4. Part 3: It’s good in terms of suspense and probably has the best final girl showdown of the series. It rips off way too many parts of part 1 though so it somewhat lacks originality
5. Part 1: I may get a little flack for this. But this movie is overrated. The characters are pretty lame and there are a lot of very boring scenes. This movie is basically carried by Manfredini’s legendary score and Savini’s kills. I’ll still put in the top 5 because it’s importance and the impact it made on horror in general. But it definitely hasn’t aged well lol.
6. Remake: This one really had potential to be #1. Mears is great as Jason. It had good suspense. The characters are great. But…They screwed up on the plot…Whitney being the final girl over Jenna was a terrible move. Jason kidnapping was lame. And the sex is over the top and not really necessary. Watching a movie with others shouldn’t have scenes that make you feel awkward. Overall it’s decent but also a disappointment because of what could have been.
7. Part 5: Underrated. I don’t care about the Roy/Jason thing. This movie should be hated because it’s a bad movie…not because Jason isn’t the killer. The script is a joke. The direction is worse. The kills are also the lamest in the series with very little blood and creativity outside of Eddie’s death. However this movie is entertaining in a “so bad it’s good way.” It also has some of the very best characters who end up saving the movie with their hilarity.
8. Part 7: Not really their fault. The MPAA screwed them on the kills. Acting is horrendous and there’s no characters worth remembering other than Melissa. Props to Jason’s look though. These guys actually tried to make a real Friday movie for the fans…I’ll put this one over the rest for that
9. Part 8: Better characters than part 7 but just a pretty terrible movie. Kane Hodder is solid and you can tell really cares about the role
10. FVJ: The acting and script are really cringe. It’s too over the top in making the kills less fun and shocking and more silly. Easily the worst Jason in the franchise in terms of look and act.
11. JGTH: Some of the kills are cool but wow this is one weird movie and just doesn’t have the feel of a Friday film at all.
12. Jason X: “it sucks on so many levels”

11. Friday the 13th part nine Jason goes to hell the final Friday: we barely see Jason we see him in the first 10 minutes and the last and that’s it and his soul possessing others is just not good.
10. Friday the 13th part seven a new blood: I didn’t like the whole super power stuff and The ending sucked.
9. Jason X: The whole space stuff is stupid but at least it know what It was doing not a good film and not a bad film.
8. Friday the 13th: this movie is really slow plus we see Alice doing stuff for like two minutes or three but I do like the whodunit thing.
7. Friday the 13th part 3: Jason gets his hockey mask I like that but it’s just the same concept teenagers getting killed at Crystal Lake.
6. Friday the 13th 2009: this film has some bad characters but I can get over that and enjoy it
5. Friday the 13th part five a new beginning: honestly unpopular opinion I like this film ignore the whole Scooby do ending and you got an actual great film.
4. Freddy versus Jason: I like this crossover this is actually a really good film in fact it’s great.
3. Friday the 13th part two: I love this film it is amazing film I like the bad headed look I think Jason did great on his first killing spree.
