the 50fps (maybe 48?) is really annoying. I mean, I guess if I was watching on my tv (and this was 48 and not 50fps) it might be slightly less annoying, but my laptop and phone hate this.
Hybrids have been on market for more than 20 years now. If your mechanic has not yet learn to service them then he either has a really poor customer base or is one lazy mofo.
Henry simply is the best Car hack out there right now, as an Evo mag buyer from day 1 its good to see the quality of all the boys still going .. some more than others I might add.
Henry, incredible work yet again. I watched your video on the 991 C4S countless times before buying my own 991. You are truly one of the best reviewers today with your own style of presentation. Superb!
@shinkueagle Except Porsche is the most reliable German brand so...not gonna happen. And I'm pretty sure when you're spending £180,000 on a car, you're not going to care about the service costs.
Just purchased one of these and this is the nicest car I have ever owned. I had a bunch of 911s , Mercs, Audi and a mclaren 12c. This car has everything you need packed into one.
The production value is so high. Thank you for making this. I also liked how the car is being descripted in informative terms, rather than using superlatives.
Without exaggeration - I think you just outdid yourselves with this one. Excellent production and crystal clear photo - feels closer to reality than ever. Hope for many more to come! Well done lads!
Absolutely stunning - there was one of these monsters in Porsche Wilmslow finished in Black which had to be seen to be believed - huge presence and incredible looks - as Henry said, how Porsche turned the regular ugly duckling Panamera into something so beautiful is very special indeed! Brilliant video as ever from Mr Catchpole et al - could watch these and listen to Henry all day! 👍👍👍👍
Fantastic video Henry! Shocking to think that after having cars like the BMW e34 M5 Touring and the Audi RS4 Avant wagon, the new king of German sport wagons is Porsche. It's also amazing to me that the most exciting Porsche's this year aren't 911's but this car and the Cayman. Don't get me wrong, still love 911's, but this car is awesome mechanically and aesthetically. Great job Henry! Cheers mate!
Love the Panamera, but even if I was very rich I'd rather go for RS7, have the sane performance for less money (not to mention less weight..), cheaper service and I have feeling that a hybrid Porch is going to loose the price rapidly as it's well known that battery looses it's qualities just after 2-3 years and it only gets worse after that.. Also BIG THANK YOU CARFECTION for all this superb free content ♥️♥️
You only realize how big (wide and long) and powerful that car is until you see it in front of you and hear the exhaust and engine sounds. It is a pretty impressive sight, especially in an underground parking lot.
I casually look up my TH-cam Notifications to find a Crafection video. Play it for the first few seconds and put it away if it’s from Henry Catchpole. Only to grab whatever snack and sit back and relish the video- watching it any other casual way feels like not having done justice to it. 😃 RANJAN, India
Porsche has done a great job with the styling on the new Panamera. The earlier gens looked horrendous. This new one looks so much more smoother yet muscular. I love it
Nailed it first time! (Thankfully. I think it's one of those things that would have got more and more difficult if I'd had to do multiple takes. Helps when you've written the words too)
i do review cars on my channel after filming the videos i look at it and think it is good but then i watch videos from channels like carfection, fortNine, Gear & Gasoline and realise my videos doesn't even deserve to be on the same platform as these channels... Stunning video quality and thanks for the effort you guys put in to make these reviews, cheers guys...
I was stood next to one at Porsche Cambridge when I was down there the other day. Really nice looking car. I specced one up to about 140k if I can remember the numbers correctly, not particularly hard to be honest. I should add. An absolutely epic car.
This is a car that does everything. Swiss Army Knife of autos. It has everything I’d ever want in an auto. Plus another 400HP to boot. So a dream car +++
@Carfection great video as ever. But when you're reviewing a hybrid, how about 60 seconds dedicated to it's hybrid bits and bobs? Is it any good? Does it actually safe fuel or is it just for cheating the London congestion charge? How far can it take you in a certain weather? Do you expect future owners to actually charge it if it's a Plug-In? I think lots of viewers may be interested in that kind of thing. Have a good one, guys.
Phu Son Nguyen you know that the car charges itself? No need to plug it just put it on sport plus and you’ll have full power again driving full electric for up to 20 miles and up to 90mph is something quite impressive. Porsche not only developed the 918 Spyder to showcase the future but unlike Ferrari and McLaren they’re actually putting that technology into their other production cars not to mention it actually came from racing (e-Hybrid) also it happens to be the third most powerful Porsche ever built number one 918 number 887hp number 2 GT2 RS 700hp and now the Panamera Turbo S e-Hybrid rumor has it the cayenne is up next and then the 911 eventually all porsche top models will have hybrid system and yep the Taycan the first full electric Porsche is coming at the end of this year. Cheers
@@djish242 the car charging it's own battery is by far the least efficient way to drive on electricity and contradicts the whole purpose of having a plug in hybrid: never to use fuel on regular short trips while having the ability to take long trips without the long charging times of electric cars. I don't care if the car got sooo many horsepower if the hybrid powertrain isn't well implemented or just can't serve a purpose in real life use. Exactly that is, what could be analized for such a video. If you just like to see mega horsepower in an estate body, buy yourself an E63 and take it to a good tuner.
Phu Son Nguyen I own a Panamera Turbo, the ehybrid 680hp is in another league but that’s just my opinion again there’s many factors to consider and one of them is...yep the future is electric or hybrid in some source so either we like it or not that’s the direction things are heading. I just learned that the Prius is now AWD, Porsche has been doing this before anyone and they definitely know what they doing our opinions are and always be just that opinions, one of the most successful car companies that has won the most races in the planet 🙏🏽
From 4K perfection to perfect synergy of sweeping words, music and video - this was a fitting tribute of *carfection* to my new fav Porsche - the work behind it just sparkles and yes I loved the abbreviations bit hah! *N.B.* 5:55 they’re still missing a future technology add - on 😉 $380 ATW -automatic touchscreen wipers For clearing up spotty fingerprints on their screens - seen perfectly here in 4K HD ☺️
A lot of companies have all the adaptive/safety/smart stuff that Porsche does, they just don't have the acronyms. (i.e. cruise control, dampers, electronic differentials, etc.)
I dont understand why ppl are hating on the MK I Panamera that much. To be honest I love its shape.. especially the rear.. it looks bulky, mascular, MANLY :D I love it
This is a great looking car! And the video quality is on point, as always!
Never expected anything less
While this car is beautiful from the beginning, Carfection Cinematography could make even a multiple beautiful
Still looks like elephant man

“The weight, 2325....”
My Imperial brain: holy shit that’s LIGHT!
“...kilos.”
Henry Catchpole is one of the best motoring journalists in the world. There is no substitude for him, just like this brilliant Porsche.
Great video!
I hope your mechanic has a PhD
Umm it is 2019. #learn to code
If you can afford this car you can afford a mechanic worth a shit.
I will have to disagree with most and agree with Austin, what’s the car going to be like owning it in 15 years time?
Hybrids have been on market for more than 20 years now. If your mechanic has not yet learn to service them then he either has a really poor customer base or is one lazy mofo.
By PhD I'm assuming you mean Porsche hybrid Diagnoser of course
God damn Carfection; another day, another exceptional Porsche video....
I agree. Looks amazing now. Especially in that colour
...also comes in Mombo green!
I believe that’s officially called Sapphire Blue.

Porsche’s dashboard and infotainment design is just so neat. Minimalist yet fancifully elegant!
This review shows why Henry is the UK's leading car journo
That colour though. Porsche perfection.
What is the name for this colour?

Patiently waiting for these to depreciate like the Cayenne 😙🎶
richiesworld1
This man gets it
The car costs over 200k. Turbo S -E hybrids barely depreciate. I think you’re looking at regular panameras in which yeah, they do.
Good luck with that
MSRP: $224,190 down to $179,750 with only 1600 miles @ www.evanpaulmotorcars.com/car/549-porsche-panamera

Where do you find these roads?
Forflies if you pause at 3:09 the map will tell you roughly where they are at
Usually Wales. Pretty much the only place with decent roads less than 3-4hrs from London..
5:59 why massive touchscreens suck
My dream car..deep navy blue, these wheels and brown leather interior :3:3:3

You read my mind
this is the most beautiful panamera design of all time, great work Porsche :D
Probably one of the funniest reviews Henry's ever done.
"Porsche Abbreviation Assistance". Brilliant lmao
Am I the only person in the world that loves the normal Panamera shape? And this one is perfection!!!! Top video
I have watched a lot of car reviews on TH-cam. But you Sir took my breath away, I had no choice but to subscribe and watch more.
The amount of work is massive, what a great video !
Perfect video as always. By far the best car review on youtube
The quality of the video is stunning. Felt like you could walk into the scene :-) - Content was also brilliant. Good work overall ... thumbs up
Stellar cinematography as always and that high fps is just the last crop of cream it could have
"thankfully porsche hasn't tried to write all of that on the back of the car", lol
Spot on as always Henry
The quality of these videos is ridiculous! The hero we need, not the one we deserve
As someone who drives a gen 1 Panamera Turbo daily, the hybrid system is a very welcome addition to a car of this thirst magnitude.
Henry is an amazing presenter and the car is stunning.
I had a look at one of these at our local dealership... damn the quality an attention to detail is incredible... it’s a solid car!!
If you forget about the price, this is probably the best all-round car on the planet
Love Carfection and what you guys create! Please stick to 24/25/30fps it's much better!
That is amazing grand tourer I mean with that V8, hybrid system, and the style of a wagon
I never thought 50 fps would make such a huge difference. The distinction is instantly obvious and vastly more pleasant.
Keep up the great work lads, absolutely loving it

Waiting patiently for the new RS6
The new RS6 won't be that good.Just take a look at the new RS4/5. V6 which is not bad but doesn't sound good and they are full of fake vents and sh*t
The last version, or the current one is fabulous. I don't expect the new one to be so cool. Let alone close to this.
RS6 Avant vs. this car is a tough call.
Thinking the new RS6 may be V8 plus hybrid?
The new RS6 will definitely carry the current V8 but as for looks? I think C7 will always be a legend of cool station wagons!
That car has just moved to the top of the first car I will buy if my wife gets the Lottery numbers RIGHT this week !

Great video Henry. Not sure the hybrid is worth it taking into account the added weight gives almost the same power to weight as the standard turbo.
