I have been waiting for someone to test this out. Most of her products are good
unrelated but the RB campaigns are always so beautiful and sophisticated! all the models (and selena of course!) look incredibly stunning. i'm geting back to pressed powder after many many years, they're so practical!
Their lightest shade definitely isn't light enough, hope to see more in the future. Rare beauty is always a slam dunk though and I just love them!
I did wonder if Porcelain would be too warm for under the eyes for me and you have just confirmed it. Thanks

I am almost done esthetician and makeup artistry school and you have no idea how much that makeup has helped me in my career! I agree with you on the shade. I noticed with Selena's skin tone, even she was wearing the second to the lightest shade in her promo pictures. You are definitely correct in pointing out the need for much lighter shades. ❤ ya, and enjoy your content so much. I am loving the Ravie Beauty lipsticks. CT light pressed powder is the same way, pulls yellow on me as I am fair as well, so I use the white shade under my eyes and T zone.
Glad to see it wears well. I do hope they add more shades/undertones, but as someone with Asian skin I am glad that launch has some more peach/yellow undertones as usually American brands skew pink when launched.

Joy has been my favorite blush since it came out and as soon as I saw Poppy I knew it would be perfect together. I also want to try the Milk Jelly Stick in Spritz with it.
Poppy and Peony are supposed to come Monday and I'm so excited!
I am really suprised the lightest color in that powder has a yellow tone..most of us lightest shades are usually more towards pink or cool

I'd try this out too if they had a pinky/peach/more neutral one since I'm also pretty pale like you Allie. And I'm not even the lightest in other brands that go to pale where I'm in the light category above that.

I just picked up this powder today at Sephora. I got the porcelain shade as well, I am fair/light and I gravitate towards neutral undertones, but I am Maltese so the slightly warmer undertone in this shade was fine for me personally. I was already wearing making when I bought it so I used it for a touch up and it was so pretty. Thanks for the wonderful review, I also wanted to say that I LOVE the Ravie beauty effortless lips and can’t wait to try the new shades! ❤

Hey, Allie! The finish on the powder looks nice, but I see what you mean about the warm yellow cast. You and I are the same skin tone and undertone, so I probably wouldn't buy this. The lightest cool-toned shade looks like it might be too dark but hard to tell without testing it. I'm pretty happy with my Kosas Cloud Set in Breezy and my Hourglass setting & finishing powders, so I think I'm all set with powder right now. Really love the Poppy on you. I usually wear soft rose, berries, and plums, so that special color would be a fresh direction for me to explore. Congrats again on your new launch!!
The shade natural has cool undertones? All of them are pretty warm it looks like on the web site.. it may work better it likes pinker!! One more thing it is meant to be a finishing powder..

I just got a flashback to when I picked up porcelain in the fit me-foundation and it was way too warm and dark. I really hope they come out with lighter shades and different undertones.
How would you compare this wear test to Charlotte Tilbury? I am finishing up my Charlotte Tilbury and was debating whether to try Rare Beauty.

I’m also a neutral/cool toned girlie and I’m glad I didn’t pick it up now. You confirmed my suspicions about the undertone. It’s such a shame cos the formula seems to be amazing.

I LOVE the peessed hyaluronic powder from By Terry but im interested in this Rare Beauty one. I'm a pressed power girl bc I have oily skin , BUT I'm also in my 40s so I have to be careful not to call attention to the little lines that are showing up these days.
I was really excited for this powder but I’m fairer than you and when I saw Mikayla review it on TT I knew it wasn’t light enough for me too. I wonder why they didn’t come out with a translucent?? Oh well you still look beautiful ❤

I would looove to get this but I feel like there missing so many shades lighter then that and sooo many people have fair skin. I assume the same would be for the darker colours as well.

I typically layer loose and pressed powder too. I use loose powder (ELF Halo Glow in Light Pink) under my eyes, loose powder (Wet N Wild Photo Focus Translucent) lightly all over my face, and then a pressed powder (Maybelline Matte + Poreless Pressed Powder in Fair) in my t-zone.
I have a feeling that the lightest shade would be too dark/warm for me too. The compact shape is really cute and aesthetically pleasing. She should expand the shade range if this does well for them. Add a translucent option as well as dipping into the colored powder (pink, lavender, peach, etc.) trend as well!
I was looking forward to your review of this product. It is a shame that was the fairest color. My issue with most powders they all pull yellow on me too.
For the Hourglass are you talking about the ambient lighting or the Vanish airbrush powders.

I’m a fair girly too and sadly I won’t be able to pick this one up either😩I knew as soon as Allie said it was leaving a tint on her, I was doomed as well! Sad for us fair/light skin tones🥹
My issue with the powder is not only does it oxidize but everyone who reviewed the powder that got it in pr said it came with a powder puff so I was highly disappointed when I ordered from Sephora and there was no puff. Will be returning sadly 😢
A hard pass on anything that oxidizes. I dont have time to deal with finding out what shade the end result will be

Ya it darkens my foundation. I think they need a translucent one or one even lighter. I had to return cause my under eyes looked yellow and dark

That's cool and all but when the powder puff doesn't fit in the actual compact, that's a pet peeve of mine. It has to sit exposed to the outside after being used. That's kinda gross

Since you're "Fair to Light," that means this powder's shade range excludes the Very Fair, Fair, & Fair to Light categories altogether. Yikes. In 2024! Do better, Rare Beauty.
Probably they couldn't release a ton of shades at once 🤷, i'm sure they will extend the range. 14 for start is actually decent i've seen worse 😅

I think it's too bad it doesn't come with the puff. If you get the powder and the puff you're looking at $45 plus tax usd. They're loose powder was $26 I think? $45 is almost givenchy price level😂

My opinion but so gross when people just put more powder on before blotting ! ( unhygienic at least ) especially with that type of puff application
The powder already has crappy reviews and from I have seen the videos from most people is that it literally instantly darkens the makeup and complexion. Why would we want that ? Powder is supposed to brighten, smooth and set ! Not darken ! Rare Beauty try again
