      @fishing4dinner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    great video! thanks. my drain screw would not budge. had to dig out the good ol' manual impact screw extractor/driver the one you hit with a hammer. It is a life saver at times! in case some of you may not know what tool I am talking about.

    I have this same motor. Is this the only oil that is changed in the motor, my mechanic said "oil change" is this what he is talking about. Thanks!

      Hey Jim, I think he may be referencing the engine oil change. I did a video on that too. th-cam.com/video/LEIf11Ex8Go/w-d-xo.html

    Both my Yamy's are about the same for lower unit changes!!

      These little engines are just so easy to maintain.
      Do your yams have 2 vent holes like this? Can’t say I’ve seen that b4

  • @WesLovelace
    @WesLovelace 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Both lower units ....One is a 2 stroke and the other is a 4 stroke have 2 change holes....Pump from the bottom and when the top bleeds you tighten the top and replace the bottom plug.....I assume Suzuki has the same layout!!

      Yes the Suz 300 has drain/fill on bottom and 1 vent up top but this Merc 40 has a drain/fill at bottom but 2 vents up top.
      Look again at 1:55 and 3:02

      2 at the moment but this Whaler is such a head turner at the lake - I’m not sure it’ll last much longer. Strangers keep making me offers

      @@fishing4dinner I don’t know much about boats but it sounds like they are interested in that one for a reason 👍

      @@BlueLines50 They’re fairly rare here in Texas. This size is simple to maintain and affordable to run. The Boston Whaler brand has much to do with it too. They’re known for durability & reliability.
