Hey thanks Alyena!! Quite the surprise finding the quad on the lake bed. Wild to think it’s been sitting for 10 years…like going back in time watching his flight. The zebra mussels are good for water clarity but sure can be detrimental to underwater structures - they cling to metal like dams, hydro-generation facilities, water pump structures, lower units etc. Cost some folks a boat load of money in repairs Go look up the blublocker rap commercial. I’m still cracking up

@@BlueLines50 Thanks Rey! We’re all upping our rain dance game round these parts. Just hoping I’m not outside working when it comes a gully washin! It’s a scary place to be when the flood comes Bummed we couldn’t reunite the bird with original owner. But def thankful for some fun footage to sift thru. We can fish all day on less than $1.50 worth of gas and never have to paddle 1 stroke….i mean, can it get any better than that??? Working on another fun kayak vid rn but also using a new video editor so it’s going REEEEAAAL slow

Thanks doood!! Crazy the SD card was still usable after 10+ years underwater. 1:35 and that carp cruises by to check it out for sure. Amazing to hear those boats whizzing over at 20’ below the surface. Carson found a rod and reel out there that day too. He loves exploring out there when the water is low…..digital cameras and cell phones are fairly common finds. Sunglasses the most common for sure We can’t wait for the lake to fill back up….i just hope I’m outta town the night all that rain comes 🙈 Born and raised here so droughts and floods are to be expected…just that those floods def aren’t for the unprepared

@@MinuteontheMountain Appreciate you John! We were shocked first just to have found the drone but then to find the SD still usable after 10 years underwater…wild stuff. And then to go back 10 years in time via drone video and see the lake nearly full again… We’re drought-prone here. It happens every few years…drought, flood, rinse, repeat. It’s all for His divine purpose. If I can stay focused, He’s teaching me to trust

@@savedbygraceoutdoors Thanks brother. We appreciate you! Canyon lake is beautiful. We’ve seen it low but never this low but that’s TX hill country for ya!!! Filmed this in early Oct it was 24’ low. As of now (late Nov) it’s 27’+ low. It’s in a sad state…..but like I said, every drought ends with a flood. It’ll happen, The Lord always provides. Granted - it’s rather scary the night all that rain comes!!

It’s a durable pack, really like it actually. SD was happy as it could be. Guy had all kinds of footage on there. Wish I coulda tracked him down. Woulda been one heckuva reunion video

These Nucanoes are so versatile! We’d love to see you out there in one I think a bow mount TM on this would be perfect for you! So stable and so much room. Love the 360 seat. I’m watching local classifieds for a deal on a used bowmount terrova myself Outboard is fun but really meant for point A to point B missions. Finesse fishing is where it falls a little short

Thanks Robert!!! It’s an inexpensive upgrade I didn’t think much of until I used it. I think I can get more RPM outta the engine so I’m currently working to mod the transom bracket to lift the motor higher. Helpful in logging hours for oil changes as well. This kayak isn’t perfect but it’s just right for what we use it for. Can’t wait to show off some of the super remote areas of the Guadalupe River down stream of civilization. Beautiful river. Love the great state of Texas!

@@SeaSquatchFishing appreciates it!!! It’s a fun rig. An absolute blast below the dam on the river running catfish lines. I can def see the appeal for the kayak bass tourney guys using it in co junction with the bow mounted TM. That’s a whole other level

@@Eyez85 All good. All Ive used for many years now Oil Geek TH-cam channel has a very interesting and informative vid on their new restore and protect oil. I just poured that in 2k miles ago for the first time. Truck took us from TX to FL and back on it no problem yet LOL

@ thanks I use amsoil but wonder if it’s worth the extra cost. I know valvoline high mileage/extended is suppose to be good along with Pennzoil ultra

@ I think you’re on the right track. I’m no expert but based on research others have done and posted, it seems like any of the major brand synthetics are great choices for use by an average joe like me…now if I were competing and breaking engines down every week before races i might look at it differently

@@kentuckesseeangler Thanks Andrew!!! It’s a barge for sure. Paddling got old quick! It’s turned out to be a great river runner for us Stable doesn’t even scratch the surface of how it felt. Never have either of us felt like we’d tip or fall out…in the seated position anyway 🤣

@@izzyssaltlife Thanks Izzy! 🤙🏼 4.5 is very respectable either option beats the snot outta paddling!!!!! it’s practical for getting form A>B…like wade fishing or running catfish lines like we’re going to. But it really needs an elec TM for a more stealthy/finesse approach. Fishing around docks/marinas/structure was super tough. Wait till you see what Carson picked up off the bottom of the lakebed. 😎

Thanks Tommy! I’m beyond impressed with the stability of this little beast. Even with that 360° swivel seat I’m in, I’ve never felt uneasy. So far trimming it out has gotten us to 6mph. I’m thinking I may need to mod the transom bracket to lift the motor up higher. I think the lower unit is buried too deep presently. Not real sure how much effort I wanna put in her yet lol

His find blew my mind. Since filming this last month, all public ramps closed due to lake level. One private ramp still open but only to their slip rental tenants. Central Texas is known for droughts and floods. It’ll come back….i just hope I’m on high ground the night it does!! Because it’s a wild and wooly time 💀
