Love your WIPs! The Lilly blouse is stunning and the pim pom shawl is super cute. Might be tempted to make my first shawl 😁
Haha the Pimpom shawl would be a GREAT first shawl!! And thank you for your sweet words! :)
You can use sandpaper to refresh your cedar wood rings
OOOH good tip! I’ll definitely try that! Thank you Julia :)
i have 4 sets of interchangeables 😅 wood shorties, metal shorties, bamboo regular, metal regular
Hahah. When I said that a knitter doesn't need 3 sets doesn't mean a knitter won't USE more :P The 4 that you have def sound like each have a very specific use case and therefore I would argue that you need them all 😉
Bravo
I prefer knitting on metal straight needles as the stitches move nice and smoothly, plus my set comes in gorgeous metallic colours. I'm currently using 8mm which are purple like a Cadbury chocolate wrapper (do you have Cadbury in Canada? lol). Your alder sweater is stunning! My jaw literally dropped when you held it up!
We do have Cadbury in Canada! And I know exactly what colour you're talking about (so gorgeous!!!) I've always loved the look of metallic coloured needles! And thank you for the sweet words on the Alder Sweater!!
Your projects look amazing. I really like your Lilly Blouse! 🧶
Thank you!!! :) I would really recommend checking the blouse out once the pattern is released if you’re interested!
I can show you a bind off technique that similar to Italian bind off look but easy to ripoff if needed😊
Okay!! Next time I’m over :)
Metal (Chiaogoo) for most projects. Laminate wood with metal tips (Knitter's Pride Royales - Sadly discontinued) for very slippery yarn, and sometimes just for a change of pace. I also have a set of metal Addi interchangeables. They were my first interchangeable set and these days I mostly use them in blanket projects so that my preferred needles aren't tied up in years' long projects. But I don't need three sets, really, and would give up the Addis if I needed to make a choice.
Metal chiaogoos are so lovely! If I didn't already have my bamboo set I def would have splurged and gotten those!! I will say I am kind of eyeing their shorties :) Sounds like you have a purpose for each set!!
@@bymwu I've heard good things about the shorties. I can't use them - the way I hold needles they end up causing me real pain and damage - but people I know who can really love them.
