It’s always amazing to me that people can yammer away in the presence of greatness. Years from now when this guy is an icon in the hall of fame someone will see this and say hey, I was there that night. When asked what was it like? , they’ll have to say I don’t remember, I wasn’t paying attention.
True, if I pay my money to see someone perform I am gonna keep my mouth shut and watch and listen. In my experience it's self proclaimed music enthusiasts that can't seem to keep their traps shut. They don't care about the music at all they just want to brag that they saw the band/ performer . When in reality they didn't hear anything that was going on except their own voices.
No doubt alcohol is involved in the crowd chatter. Playing live is the hardest thing a musician can do. Music can quickly become “background noise” to many people.
chompers will always chomp. The song isn't played perfectly, you can tell he isn't able to play with the extra finger picking like tony, but did a good job and is a really good player.
I was just thinking the same thing as his TH-cam presence is sort of over the top. In the old days we had to wait for albums. Love the guy, don't get me wrong.

I think it's just the way it was recorded (incorrectly).

People did this for 30 years following Jerry
This is awesome man. I love country music like this.
It's probably been so before and but i'll say it again... he is a once-in-a-life time generation musician... and hell of a nice guy as well .
Billy is amazing! Hope I’m still around in another 20 years just to hear him get better.
He can't get better- he's the best.
@@ccrider853 He’s too young not to get better. He will as he learns more material.
Love it!
Love the last notes of that ending Billy!♥️
I was born on church street.. in Nashville
Dad wrote this song abut Church Street while playing down at the Pickin' Parlor on 2nd.
Beautiful. There is a c sus that Tony used that is pretty. CFGCE. Well done.
This is Really good...
That is a great rendition Billy!♥️
Tony’s version is the gold standard. Billy is good too but Tony owns this one.
Awesome.
guitar playing set aside his voice is great...
(Denmark) I wonder that Billy is not invitet to The Tonder (Tønder) Festival i in The very Southern of Denmark. A Big famous Festval
easy enuf. very narrow customer segment, and too much cash!
Where's the the rest of the song?
Nice vocals. Prefer Norman's instrumental to Tony's, but that's a choice between deserts.
As good as he is, he is being oversold and oversaturates.

Love the guy, don't get me wrong.
Really? He’s everywhere because he’s hip and insanely good. Greatness knows no boundaries
I've seen Billy about 8 times. The crowds get bigger and he gets farther away.
Hmm why so slow? He is like 10bpm slower than Tony Rice
Why not?
Absolutely destroyed
Because even players of Billy’s caliber have a difficult time playing Tony’s songs.
Because one does not simply play church street blues on the same level as Tony Rice.
@@the_high_commander Or Norman Blake for that matter.
