One of the things that I find most fascinating about synthesizes is the ability to reduce all the characteristics of musical expression to assignable parameters and the possibility of finding new paths and new sounds which have likely never been heard before. This is something that is certainly very intuitive to do with the Moog Subsequent 37 .

this synth can do magic if you know what you're doing.
This is a great synth. Beautiful sounds, Bob Moog lives on...
It does :)
If you love ambient trance it's a great synth.
Sounds so good through my headphones. Thank you for taking the time to make this and upload it.
Thanks for the comment ☺️
cela me rappelle le son de Jean Michel Jarre j'adore
Beautiful ! Very well played !!
thanks :)
Disfrutando con pan tostado y nutella acostadita , gracias por reafirmar algunas ideas y compartir , gracias Rod 🙏❤️✨
Gracias Nalle ❤️
Inspirador 100x100.
Me encanta ❤
Muchas gracias!!
I sold my subsequent 37 to purchase the Matriarch. Now I sold my matriarch to return to the subsequent 37. I don't know why, but the power of the subsequent 37 is unmatched.
You ditch the matriarch because of sound? Workflow?
@@biggrime well, I would have liked to keep the Matriarch but I put some synths up for sale so I could buy the subsequent one again and I only managed to sell the Matriarch. Basically I prefer the subsequent because in the Matriarch it was very difficult to find a good sound and the worst thing was that I couldn't save it in a preset. what stands out about the Matriarch is its delay and stereo filter. but on balance I prefer the Subsequent.
I sold my Matriarch after buying the Subsequent 37. After buying the 37, I never turned on the Matriarch.
I also prefer the sound of the 37 to the more vintage sound of the Matriarch.
Both instruments are wonderful synths, but the build quality on the 37 puts the Matriarch to shame. The filter cut off knob on both the Grandmother and the Matriarch is pitiful.
Dani Krabs interesting. I agree the strength is the stereo filters and delay. I love the sound of it thought. Thought about getting the sub 37 too
The Least Significant Bit 🤔 I thought the build quality is good the matriarch but hey maybe compare to the sub 37 no. I'm definitely gassing for sub 37
I'm a 1000 subscriber!!!
Congrats, bro!
Yeeeiii!!!
Great performance, man!!!!
Thanks 😊
Amazing sound!
Glad you like it :)
Bien trabajo.
Thanks
Amazing!!!

I really Love this.
Thanks 😊
Awesome !
thanks!
Just wow!
Thank you bro :)
Subsequent is the best. I’ll own one again some day
Me too! I sold mine last year :c
@@SkeletonJacket 🥲
Why you sold? To buy another one? Thanks for answering@@SkeletonJacket
Best demo i have seen for this incredible synth, you have amazing talent, now I need one and some classes LOL - I have Elektron and Roland -
Thanks. I also have elektron digitone and roland tr8s and make a great match with the subsequent 37
I will one day buy one of these.
Just got mine hell of a buy 🔥
wow!
Thanks 😊
How did you get the arpeggiation pattern to sound like a sequence? Was that a built in arpeggio preset? Also, how did you introduce that higher pitched melody during the arpeggio? It also sounds sequenced. Great video by the way. Sounds incredible!
Hello thank you very much. No, it is not a preset. I don't remember exactly the precise setting of this session, but it seems to me what I'm doing is the following:
First you have to have the subsequent in duo mode with the KB control at HI, then I think the arpeggiator is in random and invert mode (probably also has some filter modulation and other things in oscillator 1, which is the lower timbre).
That high pitch melody is simply opening the arpeggiator 1 octave higher which in this case will affect the oscillator 2 (duo mode) which has the highest timbre.
At the end of the session it is nothing more than slowing down the arp rate and playing with resonance and noise. I hope this helps
@@SkeletonJacket Wow...really appreciate the details. I don't have a sub 37....yet. 😃 Seriously considering it and seeing this video and explanation makes it an easier decision. Sounds like an incredibly versatile unit.
@@SkeletonJacket what preset this is? Thanks
@@chinhcadillac8938 is not a preset, I made patch.
love this
Thanks :)
Thanks
NICE BRO
Thanks mate
The sub 37 has gone up in price since I had one years ago. I miss messing with arp and I had guitar pedals effects
Totally agree mate
I sold my Sub 37 for 3 Taylor’s. Also bought a Voyager Electric Blue. Trying to decide if I need to grab another Sub37!!!
Don't know if you guys ever tried a 37 through a Kemper for it's FX. Gotta try it. It's the best FX on my MOOG I ever heard to date. It's TOP NOTCH.
how u do that can u elaborate?
@@Jenniferab32 Kemper has a Re-Amp mono input in the back. Just connect the out of the Moog to the Re-Amp in, select the "Re-Amp" input from the front of the Kemper and go to town.
@@RogerBrenon thank you!
Enjoyed this so much! What external effects were you adding?
Thanks ☺️ I think I just add reverb from the DAW
Is the delay coming from the sub 37?
@@ChuckWasHere I now have a Sub 37, and there is no built in delay, so I have to assume it was added in the DAW here.
Even so, I love the synth!
@@darylshawnmusic There are some settings on the Sub 37, sometimes using an arpeggior, maybe in dual mode, that seem to simulate a delay. Perhaps with a sweeping LFO. I've noticed it occasionally using mine.
specteculare !!!!
Thanks
Great demo! Thinking about one of these
Thanks ☺️
COOL
Thanks
wooooow q grande que gordo suena q fantastico MOOG
Hammer 🔨
I hope that means a good thing
Of Course, absolut brilliant 🤩
Beautiful sounds! Is this init preset or a stock one?
Just my own, no preset

Great work. Any fx used here?
Thanks mate, just some reverb and delay
Yeah, creamy 37 :) Love mine sub 37 ...
Such a wonderful synth
Amazing composition.
I’d love to learn how you modulated to create the complex repeating pattern during the arp part (2).
Care to share?
Thanks ☺️
Do you mean at the end when the time goes slow ?
@@SkeletonJacket Hey, thanks for replying - no I actually mean the part that starts around 02:24, where the arp pattern gets more complex when you increase the arp range to +1/+2 (I think). But the pattern is getting quite interesting there and seems to consist of like 8 bars. I was wondering how you modulated that to such results.
Still wondering 🌝
@@VynylVideos sorry for answering so late. It seems to me that what you mean is that the arpeggiator is in random and I am changing the octaves of the oscillators manually
@@VynylVideos seems arp range makes it. real cool indeed.
I bought matriarch and 3 days later I brought it back and bought subsequent37 😢
Sold!
I actually sold my Subsequent 37 :c
@@SkeletonJacketbut why? Not happy with the sub 37? Please tell me your toughts about.
Beautifully played! What do you think about me sampling this and producing an instrumental with it?
It most likely won't make three digit numbers but nonetheless, it could potentially be uploaded to
for profit streaming services, like spotify et cetera
1:11 to 1:13 please what is the name of this effect?

This is how to demo a synth
Thanks mate!
Damn...
😊
Beaut! Will steal few things from you, see if my 37 likes it, I bet it’ll be excited :)
I know your 37 will love it
Please made tutorial videos about Sub37. !!!
I have a video kind of tutorial exploring the subsequent 37 but is in Spanish. I will do a full tutorial in english ☺️
@@SkeletonJacket thanks. I like your music. It sounds amazing.
I miss my sub37
Me too :c

Dude, what the fuck are you doing? ;-))))
Chat gpt brings me here❤
Really? Can you tell me how?
boy what is this??? ;-)))) give up on the Moog because you don't know what it's for ;-))))
And who are you by the way?
Jesu fuck i so wanted a beat to kick the fuck in :)
That would be cool
🤣
Sorry, I've never heared anything that distinguishes this synth from, let's say a Waldorf Kyra, or a Pulse, a Korg Minilogue and many other synths, digital or analog... Except for the Moog price that is absolute ridiculous. It's like wearing a Louis Vuitton bag, very posh but no added value...Why do people always fooling themselves, based on a name ??!!?? Jeezes, it gets tiring... (scientific blind tests have long proven that people do not hear the difference between analog vs digital, let alone the differens between synths) So please, cut the crap.
why you mad tho
wow!
guess about some time to be brave - and get playing for real, to be frank, the most expensive gear i ever bought and somehow scared the shit of me afterwards....(adding an out)
The subsequent 37 is an amazing instrument. The best way to play it in my opinion is by feeling it instead of thinking about it!
@@SkeletonJacket thank you very much, will do so :).
