I blind bought this along with Mancera Red Tobacco and got a deal on both, but sniffing it on just one wrist while the Red Tobac is suffocating me is not the proper way to test this. I am gonna give it a proper wearing for tomorrow and experience it alone. I bought this for very special occasions that I am going to make happen in the very near future.
I wear Layton and love it , got myself a sample of Layton exclusif and didn’t really enjoy it as much as I did Layton. Maybe I am not as much a frag-head yet but the simplicity of Layton is hard to beat. Layton feels fresh and smells wonderful and the scent trail is even better. I am contemplating buying either Carlisle or Percival next.
Don't know why reviewers often say Layton is not unique smelling but I've never found one that's similar. Sure it might be in the genre of Aventus type fragrances but it's very unique and very niche to my nose. Exlusif is to dirty and dark for me. Layton I worship. Ha
You're right, I don't think I've ever smelled anything else like Layton. But it does have a very strong mainstream appeal to it. Very easy to wear, very easy to like.
Yeah I'm not the biggest fan of OG Layton but to my nose it's pretty unique. I think some people equate easy to wear and mass appealing as generic, which is actually not always the case.

I blind bought a 4.2oz bottle of this due to a very good sale...then immediately bought a backup bottle. #bigdickenergy It's a phenomenal fragrance and the best in their entire range IMHO. Makes Herod look like garbage and Carlisle seem just "ok." I don't think this is a particularly challenging fragrance outside of summer time. Only people who would really dislike this are the ones obsessed with freshies.

I like Layton, but I think this smells of total shit. Given it so many chances. Doesn’t win me over at all. If I go out I’m rocking so many other Niches over this.

the more i smell layton exclusif, the more i liked it. much better than layton now. which is the other way around before.
I prefer the original Layton tho. Still couldn't afford a full bottle tho :(
