Had the associate at saks spray Layton and Layton Exclusif on each arm. Walked out with Exclusif since it was more pungent, but when I walked out of the door and the breeze pushed the original Layton towards my nose I couldn’t resist and had to go back and exchange. It’s a hard decision

Totally agree this Layton + Amouge. Anaqeed is is a great clone of Layton exclusif. I would say Layton is more daily wear but Anaqeed and Layton Exclusif is more for the mature folks or fragrance collectors as it is very mature.

I used to love the original more than exclusif. I even disliked exclusif. But now that i got into PDM and smelled them for a while I revisited my exclusif sample and it blew me away even more than the original layton. The coffee and oud absolutely ADD to it. That beautiful darkness gives it a huge base and makes it heavy where the original is very light. Think of it like classic rock with moderate bass vs hard rock with heavy beefy bass. My poor wallet.😢
Layton OG is definitely more wearable and "pleasant". But I think it's too much of a perfect school boy scent. Exclusif is much more interesting imo and has this dirty attractiveness to it
great job as always. funny enough i mistakenly bought exlusif first, honest mistake on my part. i was not disappointed in the least. naturally i ordered layton soon after, and was surprised by the scent profile, and knew the mistake was in reality a gift. i sum it up simply this way. exclusif is a power scent, business, and dark, yet extremely wearable. layton is lighter, more crowd pleasing, and more date night. i find layton if sprayed lightly is perfect in heat, exlusif not so much. i'm a blind buyer and so far very few regrets, thanks to your guidance.

nice, have about 20mlvof my layton left but not sure to go for exclusif or the og to replace it when it's done... notino have a good 15% off with the code 'perfumes15' but when that expires 'pdm15' also works.. got my sedley with that code at the start of the year and it's still active

Layton is the most misdescribed fragrances out there. It’s a very sweet fragrance with a pronounced menthol note in the dry down that feels a bit out of place. Almost no one mentions that’s part…like maybe one TH-cam reviewer I’ve ever seen. Not sure how you skip that part
I have Layton, it doesn't smell anything like menthol at all. People with no class and little to no expertise and or experience in fragrances are usually the ones with this comment. But if you ask females, which have better sense of smell than men they'll tell you it smells amazing
PARFUMS DE MARLY LAYTON lost its durability and projection after changing the alcohol from 78% to 82%! Durability: approximately 6 hours. and the screening lasts about 2 hours. that's a joke for a lot of money :
waite a minute, you cant say that Layton still has the same perfromance with the new batches, i litreally go hard on trigger, so please try to be accurate with your advices because people here is taking your words as a trustworthy source, you cant miss the fact that they reformulated it from 78% to 82% vol.
Maybe worth it if one hasn't smelled the OG (78%), but it's nowhere near it in my opinion. The OG is much smoother, less linear with outstanding performance. It's simply better.
I have the 82% version of Layton Exclusif. Strong as hell and lasts forever, definitely worth it. I also owned a decant of the OG which was very strong but I'm not sure which version it was
I consider Layton Versace Eros Parfum but grown up and more minty. I hate YSL Y EDP. The Parfum is perfection to me. More mature and that cedar note makes it for me. Hated it at first but it helps knock down that super sweet of the EDP.
The Layton I have has terrible performance. Please don’t always trust these influencers. If would be up to them everything is amazing and has incredible performance.
it seems they're reformulating their scents-- i expected my bottle of carlisle to last all day but it would turn into a skin scent within the hour, contrary to reviews, so i exchanged it for layton exclusif
You should replace your 78% bottles with 82% bottles, cause what your telling us about the scents, we cant buy those any more. Describe current offerings please.

It's not animalistic oud, is western interpretation of oud. However we do get animalistic castoreum eventhough civet is mentioned in the notes. Hope that helps😊

Layton is my signature scent and absolutely love it. And I wear exclusif when im at the office, i think it feels like a more subtle professional scent
I feel like Layton smells like YSL LNDL mixed with Naxos. Just perfection. Exclusif is ok but I think other fragrances do it better.

Maybe it used to be a great projecting fragrance, not so much now. Annoying that so many companies reformulate and make their fragrance worse.
Layton is amazing but Layton Exclusif is next level. It’s the closest thing the a real life Magic love potion. The magic is in the dry down.

I purchased from a Facebook group and it was supposedly brand new in box and plastic. It is extremely weak,right out the gate.

Not worth. Get a clone instead, I recently got Luxodor Loyal Agar. It performs 3x better than my bottle of Layton and is dirt cheap.
