try out a set of federal 595ss. the bfg's like to chunk when you slide or skid on em, the federals do no such thing, and feel like they have more latteral grip.
Being a former Senior Industrial Engineer with BF Goodrich in Akron I found this interesting and well done. Thanks. I was there for the 100th anniversary in 1970. They had just built the new World Headquarters building across from the plant. A grey marble building which contrasted with the huge red brick plant buildings. Today that building houses the GoJo headquarters. BFG itself left tires and is currently into aerospace only. Goodrich tires are a Michelin product now and carry that patented sidewall name since it was bought 100% by Michelin. We produced radial tires first in the USA before others like Goodyear began doing it. Goodrich did go into racing a lot but those radials cheated a little because the term radial was defined in the industry as “essentially a 90 degree bias”. Those larger “radials” were actually bias ply tires but with a shallow bias of maybe ten degrees so as to comply with the term radial legally but not factually. That made the sidewalls a little stiffer and improved the race car handling over a pure 90 degree radial. That was long ago and has no doubt changed since I left in 1974.
My dad had one of the very first pairs of bfg mud terrain ta tires when they came out in the late 70 early 80s. The dealer didn’t know they existed yet when he ordered them.
you guys are the real MVP, make car guys and gals feel more comfy knowing about the history about what we are buying and looking up You make me proud!! P.S. are yall hiring....asking for a broke friend trying to buy car parts for a subaru.
ive ran bfg's for years... great tires... running the new bfg comp a/s on my 98 formula, & white letter bfg's on my 71 chevy... & for my money, theres just nothing cooler than cragar super sports with white letter bf goodrich ta radials on an old muscle car!
I needed to install new 225/40/18 tires on my car a few years ago and I don't use generics, and BFG tires were ordered. They work well for me. One thing that made BFG successful was the radial tires they made in the 1960s. They were really popular on muscle cars. Some muscle cars were built with them, others used them as replacements. The other thing that made them successful was the BFG KO all terrain tire, which is practically the standard in offroading.
Interesting I have BFG sport comp 2’s on my Focus and michelin defenders on my Fusion, I had a feeling the tires were related somehow and this video confirms it.
I know Fitment Industries is more geared towards the car fitment/wheel, tire and suspension community, but why don't you offer anything for SUVs or Trucks? Like I'd love to buy 31x10.50r15 BFG K02's from you guys cause you're a local company, but you don't seem to offer any wheels or tires for "bigger" applications like that. I would love to see your gallery filled with truck, SUV, Jeep & Offroad vehicles so we can find our ideal fitment for our heavier vehicles like that.
No one cares about LaBronny... this video is about a tire manufacturer... not a over privileged, overly sensitive snowflake, social justice warrior like LaBronny. #walkaway
Shame BFG has slowed their interest in road going high performance summer tires. I am a big fan of their now discontinued g-Force Sport Comp2.
My mom works at BF Goodrich, I've had 3 sets of Sport Comp 2s, I wouldnt buy another performance summer tire for the price, for a sporty car.
indy 500s ftw!!!
@Patrick Ross I have some spare ones but they are sixteens not 15 and I don't see why they wouldn't have 205 55 for you to buy
@Patrick Ross I'm not sure there than man you would have to ask around at some tire stores

Sport comp 2’s are dope af. Ive had several sets. That tread pattern and performance are awesome.
BFG been making trucks tyres for ever.. they’re also the most winning off road tyres too.
lol ended up here after looking up reviews for the bfg advantage T/A sport for a daily/to be rally car.

I purchased some BF good rich advantage tires My fuel economy has dropped about 5 miles a gallon has anyone experienced this before
Have you tried putting more air. Usually the less air in your tire the more rolling resistance you have. Like if the door calls for 35 psi try 37 psi.
