    I really like your concept of two outer continuous running loops with a third interior switching loop with roundhouse and future industries. Looks great!

      I really appreciate that. It is a lot of fun to run trains while I'm switching too. I can bring a train in from the outside loops into the yard, in either direction, and drop off and pick up and head out too. Round house is a hoot to swap locos with hehehehe

      Man thanks! I've discovered an issue with one part of the track and fixed it. My next video will cover this

    UPDATE: The arthur of SCARM software has all of my pictures and track layout file and is reviewing now before uploading to the database so I can link to more detailed information about it. You will be able to download the file from their site, install the free version of SCARM, and view it and see all the pieces and how i created the yard and any other parts. Hopefully it will only be a couple more days 😊

    Love the roundhouse and yard.

      Thanks 😊. Roundhouse adds a lot of fun with the locos and the yard is turning out to be VERY fun and super easy to move everything around.

    Coming together. What color you going to paint

    • @NitroStarGT
      @NitroStarGT  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nit sure if I should do some earth color (dirt) or what. Might try some gray in some spots and then decide and aquire some buildings. Thanks for asking 😊

    I think you will probably be happier in the long term sinking the turntable and roundhouse.

    • @NitroStarGT

      I agree. I just haven't planned how and started yet. Don't have a router. Haven't thought of a neat way to do it yet.

    Have you decided on a theme for scenery yet?

    • @NitroStarGT
      @NitroStarGT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Different scenes will be in different areas. Some type of mill on one corners, different small industries on the opposite corner, then some type of pond or river scene and some stores or houses here and there. Not sure about any tunnel stuff yet but I did not plan on it. Will put some raised land between some tracks at places. Thanks for the question!

    Looks good, I have a similar track plan but can't get my yard tracks to fit without having to modify (cut) a couple pieces of Kato track. Did yours fit ok?

    • @NitroStarGT
      @NitroStarGT  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks so much for the question. I bought SEVERAL packs of the 29mm & 46mm (20-091) and several packs of the 33mm & 38mm (20-092) and a few more 64mm packs and 62mm packs to make it work perfectly. You can pretty much make any length work with those combinations, along with the 124, 186, and 248mm straights. Gets pricey but I didn't have to custom make anything. I did spend lots of spare time configuring the track using SCARM track planning software on the PC. I didn't have to correct ANY of the pieces to make it fit. I was very surprised 😮. I can share my SCARM plan if anybody wants it.

      Your roundhouse and turntable set up look awesome. For your yard switches do you have feeders on both sides of the lead track and the diverging route? Like 3 sets of feeders for each yard swith?

    • @n-sane5776
      @n-sane5776 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, please share your SCARM plan, thanks.

    • @n-sane5776

      Yes, could you please share your SCARM, thanks.

      @n-sane5776 At the 1:00 minute mark in vid, I showed some of how I poered the yard but not in detail. I have a feeder on each horizontal ladder, the a feeder at the top and bottom of left and right turnouts, and then I placed a feeder in the middle of the switches on each side instead of putting on between all 10 switches. It seems to be plenty of power this way.

  • @MassMangoMurder
    @MassMangoMurder 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    What are the estimated maximum amount of feeders you can run off the Bus you currently have installed?

    • @NitroStarGT
      @NitroStarGT  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh goodness, the maximum could be many more but I have learned that too many can actually use an excess current to power all the extra wiring. A 12 gauge bus wire uses current to fill the wire up with electricity if that much draw is not needed. I chose 16 gauge bus due to that being what is recommended for N scale. This is what many TH-camrs have found out also. My feeders are from 6-8 feet apart, on the outside loops, and then there are feeders on every piece of track between turnouts and most spurs. My Power Cab has plenty of power on this 240 feet of trackage. No booster is needed either. I’ve ran 9 locos with room to spare

      @@NitroStarGT thank you for the advice and response.

    • @NitroStarGT

      I have since made a new video since I found that more and more parked locos were starting to limit my Power Cab past its limits. I have since bought a SB5 booster.
