How did you paint it without seams in the foam? I am envious. Did you add a paper layer or fill in the seams somehow? Dennis from London ontario canada.
@dennismarlow3830 I got a tip from a viewer that said to cover the seams up before scenery, so I just put some high strength masking tape over the seams and holes from drilling and then painted over them. I keep repaiting small places when I move track and such.
Great design. Did you add a piece of bristo board or a thin piece of foam before you painted it with your earth color? Your top looks too perfect! Dennis from Canada
@dennismarlow3830 Thanks for commenting man. I painted right on top of the Dow Corning pink insulation foam that I got from Home Depot. They were out if 2" so I installed 2 pieces if 1" foam. Got flat one coat paint from Walmart

Great video.
Thank you kindly
I am having issues with my PSXX that anytime I throw a turnout it trips. I need to adjust something.
Watch the blue light flash when you throw a switch or run trains over some. If you have a booster, you probably need to raise the trip amps on it by adjusting CV49. You can go up to 6 amps without installing heat sinks. Simple instructions on PSXX1 owners manual. I do have the PSXX1 that was setup default for the Pro Cab with 2 amp trip. I raised mine just one more amp to 3 amps. No more blue limiter flashes. 👍
@@NitroStarGT Thanks, mine are all still at the default settings.
@HumancityJunction Hope ya get em bumped up a little bit. The jumper method it talks about takes soldering. The CV way is very easy. I could even do it 🤪
Love all the different engines
Thanks so much Team MSC!

Hey Nitro you picked up some great hardware the alpha meter I'm looking at picking one up the aluminum panel & display is really clear i think more companies are making these meters I've seen NCE is selling one now, The SB5 is a great upgrade to boost the power of small to medium size layout the PowerCab is in Awesome intro level system but as you add DCC engines especially sound Engines its gonna slow things down allot but it kept me running for over 5 years till i bought my second SB5 now I'm running consist & i think its because the SB5 is providing more solid power but I'm looking to ooomph the capability of Running more Engines, NCE's PH-Pro system can do just that plus the system includes a dedicated programming track section which is cool you can run or program from one system, I'm looking to upgrade my Layout a bit more with some more EB1's & few other things including one of those alpha meters look down the road for a layout update with some new stuff It's great when you can step up your power & your panel for Wi-fi thats cool running more than one train on your tablet i really like that you can control more than one Engine at one time.. Great Video Nitro Allen D P.S. Nitro i forgot to ask where did you purchase your Alpha meter what Dealer thanks again Allen
Thanks for all the comments. Yes, the NCE equipment does build up and work well together. Good luck with your additions. I'll be watching. Iron Planet Hobbies has the DCC Concepts Alpha Meter
@NitroStarGT Thank ya Nitro Brother I found a PH-Pro out of Midwest Model they both have some good prices so does Spring Creek..
They do. I've bought items from both vendors before. I've bought from Fifer Hobby Supply also. Great fast shipping and has lots of Kato brand stuff plus MANY more
I love my SB5, Power Cab, Cab06p setup... and I have been thinking that a Wifitrax panel will be one of my next DCC purchases... In designing my long term layout goals, I am debating isolating a couple sections where locomotives can be parked and power turned off to those rails, do you think that might be a good idea? Cheers!
You have some good equipment! WiFiTrax 30 would be a fun addition, and the loco roster is nice. I bought the 31 before i bought the SB5, but the 30 will do the same thing if you already have the booster and save 20 or so dollars. Helps me find them WAY faster than my memory of what the exact loco numbers are! I do think having sections to power off is a great idea. I have a LOT of sections like that, but I haven't added any switches. A few locos just start up when receiving track power, and that is annoying. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Little Ayden said Choo Choo
Oh yea! Tell Ayden that I said "choo choo" back to him!
I like that train, grandpa!
And I like Lightning McQueen!!!

Yes ma'am 😉
Looking awesome brother 👊
Thanks. Just running trains every now and then. Maybe your door project will make me get some scenery materials!!!!
This is the coolest. Love seeing your progress come along.
Thank you 😊
Layout looks and runs very well !!!
Thanks so much! Learning a lot
So if you only had 4 locomotives running at a time on a small layout they could all have sound on
Definitely. I've really got this many locos running at 1 time. If you run them fast, then you would need to run less. 4 is no problem
@NitroStarGT thanks for the info
Glad I could help
The limit is ten locomotives ,is that the limit you can have programmed ,or can you have more than 10 programmed as long as there all not running on the layout?
I'm not sure what you mean by "programmed" but whatever is sitting on powered track is going to pull power. If it is moving and sound is on, it will pull a few tenths of an amps. A power cab will power a door sized layout or larger with 5 or 6 N Scale locos running with no problem. I hope this answers your concerns
I’m a big fan of the diesel locomotives you have! Sweet videos.
I sure thank ya. I'm having fun running trains! Thanks for watching
I think you will probably be happier in the long term sinking the turntable and roundhouse.
I agree. I just haven't planned how and started yet. Don't have a router. Haven't thought of a neat way to do it yet.
🚂 es muy bien. Bonita!!!
Well thank you very much!
Looks good and sounds great brothe👊
And it's all your fault LOL 😆 😂 🤣 🙌
@@NitroStarGT I knew it lol 😂
@seanpacificrailroad3700 You were right all along, though. This Kato Daylight sounds better than the Big Boy to me! Saweet 🙂
That sounds like a real steam locomotive 😮😊
Choo choo! 😀🙌
What are the estimated maximum amount of feeders you can run off the Bus you currently have installed?
Oh goodness, the maximum could be many more but I have learned that too many can actually use an excess current to power all the extra wiring. A 12 gauge bus wire uses current to fill the wire up with electricity if that much draw is not needed. I chose 16 gauge bus due to that being what is recommended for N scale. This is what many TH-camrs have found out also. My feeders are from 6-8 feet apart, on the outside loops, and then there are feeders on every piece of track between turnouts and most spurs. My Power Cab has plenty of power on this 240 feet of trackage. No booster is needed either. I’ve ran 9 locos with room to spare
@@NitroStarGT thank you for the advice and response.
I have since made a new video since I found that more and more parked locos were starting to limit my Power Cab past its limits. I have since bought a SB5 booster.
At 2:59...What radius is it turning on?
The turn is Kato Unitrack 381 pieces, which are 15" radius
Thank you, very good infromation
Glad it helps
So you advertising of your actual racing?
Naw. I'm just showing that I like running trains while I race
Are you using the "decouplers" from Kato to remove hand uncoupling?
Just a bamboo skewer. I use a Rix Pick now
Kato have some good stuff, but for me, I am EXTREMELY prototypical, hence the turntable must have a typical well depth beneath the bridge. I also like loco sound on all the time. My bridge is powered and I use a reversing switch when I have rotated my loco 180 degrees. I do like the Kato short buffer/bumper dead-end sections. Might model my own using that design.
Thanks for all the good comments. Yea the reverser letting g the sound work all the time is a great addition
Great looking locomotive!
Thanks Dave
Just what I needed to know. 😊👍

I grabbed the Broadway limited one, can't help but want a kato one as well!
I did battle on which one to get myself. I wanted the Y6b actually but decided on the latest and greatest model 🤷♂️. Let me know how ya like the BLI
@@NitroStarGT Great detail and runs smooth, I am please with mine!
That's great to hear. Mine is gonna get ran about every time I go into that room so I hope it will last a long time hehehehe! Have ya tried the smoke yet on your Broadway Limited?
@@NitroStarGT I have not, it is an impressive feature especially for n scale. I had seen things online that it can potentially damage the model so I play it safe. Kato has a reputation for being strong runners, I can see it in my limited experience with them so far with the modern diesels, so I'm sure the big boy is no exception! By the way, I found you because of the DCC roundhouse video, that was extremely helpful, thanks for making that!!
@AngryDragon85 Man, that is great info. Keep running trains, and glad I could help!
Thanks a bunch for commenting
That’s a big ole steam loco! Looks and sounds neat

Looks Good !!
Thanks so much N-Scale 👌👍
Can you make a track plan blueprint of your layout?
Check out my update #15. I have the SCARM file uploaded for all to see. You can use the free version to view the layout and pieces used. I have made some changes to that exact plan but I have mentioned most of them in later videos. I wished it was easier to share a new version of the SCARM file
