    I like tablets for drawing and reading comics, I like a laptop to write and work and I love playing games on a handheld. This 3 in 1 concept is an awesome solution for people like me. And I would say that it could be consider a 4 in 1 if you conect it to a tv or monitor to play games with friends.

    • @GameTechTalk
      @GameTechTalk  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's a very capable device, I would advise you though, the screen doesn't have a digitizer like the X1 does. Meaning that active pens do not work, you have to use a capacitive one, still a working solution but you'll have no pressure point support and not as precise also. But yeah, 4-in-1, seems like the next step of evolution for OneXPlayer! 😂

      @@chrismckenna6183 Such a timely question, I just reviewed a dock, the X1 Mini works fine with it and it’s HDMI 2.1: th-cam.com/video/v0ebZ3XBn14/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3vV3OsS-r-zz5jK2

      @GameTechTalk  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@chrismckenna6183 I mean, it's not light like a kindle or anything but I find that it is more than bearable, even more so if the controllers are removed to hold as you said like a tablet. I don't know that it would be my device of choice to indulge in 2-3 hours of reading, actually, it wouldn't be. But a 30mins between game sessions? Most definitely.

    Interesting Device...
    It should have a full wide kickstand... ( Courtesy of MS Surface Pro) That little stick leg is a No No...

      Yeah, that would've sealed the deal for many I reckon. If the 2025 devices can come with OLED, I'll be happy to wait another year for VRR (personally) but if not, VRR shouldn't even be up for discussion at that point.

      I’m not home to double check and won’t be for about 2 weeks but I’m 95% sure that the X1 Mini does not support active type pens so only capacitive touch ones that are generic and simulate a finger touch. The X1s do support an active type pen that has up to 4096 pressure points and I did test both. Really good for artists with the right pen!

    Are the analog sticks comfortable to use? Are they comparable to the Steam Deck (LCD)

    • @GameTechTalk

      The Steam Deck has bigger sticks, you could easily address the ones on the X1 Mini with caps but by default, I'd say the Steam Deck sticks do feel superior.

    90hz 900p should be king in screen??? Guys are you drunk?
    Legion Go got 2k and 144hz. This isn't be beaten already.

    • @GameTechTalk
      @GameTechTalk  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The argument comes the fact that OLED has blazingly fast response time, which renders VRR nearly useless, for 1. For 2, colors and contrast are just off the charts in comparison. 3, because response time is so high, 90hz on OLED often feels more responsive (panel wise) than equivalent on LCD tech, last but not least, having a native lower resolution can also improve clarity when playing at said resolution. The Legion Go on the other end, if you lower signal to 800p, it's not as clear.
      I see your point, I really do, but whereas Legion Go/X1 Mini offer an overkill solution (which is my preference btw), from a technical, technological and logical point-of-view, the SD OLED panel is arguably best for what handheld primarily is designed for. At the end of the day though, you go with what is best for you, as I do for me. That is why my SD OLED has no more than honestly 5 hours played total. I already bested it with an X1 Mini I had for 5 days, that should tell you where I stand.

    So if you had to compare performance and grapic whise which one would you pick asus rog ally extreme or the onexplayerx1 I'm just wondering cause I want to download farm sim 25 and want to go with the better performance and graphic option

    • @GameTechTalk
      @GameTechTalk  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The gap in difference between the X1 and X1 Mini are negligible to non-existent as they basically use exactly the same. The performance difference versus the ROG ALLY X would be indeed present but probably also very negligible despite being more prominent. What I would recommend ultimately is to still go ROG ALLY X because of VRR and landscape panel effectively making AFMF2 viable if there is the ability to use frame gen with the game you wish to play.

    Hey, was wondering if you plan on getting your hands on flydigi's Vader 4 pro that just released. It looks really fucking good at $80 (lowkey makes apex 4 obsolete imo) but I haven't seen any deep dive reviews that actually care much about specs on it yet

      It is with me currently, still wrapped. I'm still on the fence of it I want to do a hands-on video AND a deep-dive review. @@GameTechTalk Besides the obvious stuff like the joystick force rings and stats vs the other 1k polling controllers you compared in the controller roundup, it'd be really cool to see how the gyroscope's accuracy fares against the Vader 3 and Apex 4, and even other gyro sensors like the Edge or Guilikit. Maybe that's somewhere they cut costs as to not have this be the "Apex 4 Screenless Edition" 😭😭

    Is this better than legion go?

    • @GameTechTalk
      @GameTechTalk  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In my sincere most opinion, yes. With that said, some people prefer to go for the convenient options from the local store and I absolutely understand that. There is extra layers of "friction" that come with those boutique-type handheld PCs. I have built a massive tolerance over the years and the reliability and quality have increased to unprecendented levels, so while it's still not as easy as ordering one on BestBuy that I can return within 30 days, it's still very much worth it. Still, not everyone would think the same and I can understand that too.

      @@GameTechTalk thanks, I'm really tempted by the extra RAM and oculink port but concerned about support, warranty and overall polish. I also use fps mode on the go. Tough call for me. I'm leaning towards upgrading.

    • @GameTechTalk
      @GameTechTalk  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, the ergonomics of the controller are pretty much an overall "universal" type of profile, think Xbox Series controller or Dualsense. The sticks might lack a bit of height for you but you can address that with cap sleeves. Overall, not only is it better than most other handhelds to that effect, It's in a completely different ballpark and one that I feel would overall be better suited for any type of gamer.

    • @GameTechTalk
      @GameTechTalk  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Better is subjective and I love them both but the X1 Mini strikes an overall better balance in my opinion. However, as someone that loves having the "most" when I can spec-wise, the panel on the X1 sure feels extra in the way that I like it. But I feel like I should point out, I am pretty certain that the X1 Mini and X1 both do not have VRR panel, and also both sport portrait panels. Not to want to dissuade or anything but it didn't sit right with me to not address it. Thanks for watching! 😊

      I mean... It's a VERY VERY different type of experience but if you don't have Apple devices, I'd say the iPad Pro to be honest. It's a more frictionless approach and personally, I like the thought of diversifying my operating systems to always keep me knowledgeable of each. But with that said, maybe you are Apple all-around and the X1 Mini would be the Windows device entering your life, after which case, I'd completely flip my answer 😅 But overall, if you spend more going for the Mini will also get more all around, as long as you put the effort and time in to tweak it.
      In a nutshell:
      X1 Mini = More Friction / Huge Potential / More Games / Better Graphics / Less Battery
      iPad Pro = Less Friction / Different Potential / Less Games / Lesser Graphics / More Battery
