A Sunny Peak District Makes Perfect Day For A Motorbike Ride On BMW GS1250 Adventure

- Finally the sun showed it's face and made for an awesome ride out to the Peak District. I think every man and his dog also headed there this day, as it was so busy out there. This didn't stop me having an awesome ride though.
Follow my journey as I ride through the stunning peak district with its amazing and unique landscape.
In this first episode we head up the Motorway and pass the town of Chesterfield and this is where we enter into the Peak District national park. Our first stop is the beautiful Stanage Edge where I fire up the drone and get some awesome footage. - บันเทิง

excellent video! Im eyeing up a GS 1250 rally TE and its so cool to see you using the directions in the TFT, that was a major point for me. I have a BMW R9T at the moment, rode to Athens & back on it in May. Lovely bike but hard to munch miles on motorways and i've done everything in my local area so i'd like to do exactly what you're doing here, wake up early, munch some motorway miles, head somewhere scenic & come back feeling awake

Yes, midweek would be better. This day was rammed. It gets worse in the next episode around Ladybower, Castelton and down to Matlock. Winnets was like a motorway lol.

There’s some talk locally about charging cars that enter the Peak District as a way of reducing traffic 😡

@@Adventure4LifeTV Wild camping is brilliant fun, done a few myself in Wales and the Lakes, we was talking about it today, getting a minimalist camping setup so you can just carry it all the time and stop anywhere anytime.

Did the Brecons last July had a planned route and my mate made me change it, Was then going to Wye Valley and Tintern abbey and St Bravials which is a hostel ( haunted so they say ) Bloody sat nav ruined the day. Lesson never trust a garmin !
Garmins got me a few times to… I should be fine up the Brecons though as I’m meeting a tour chap who’s invited me down for a guided ride.. can’t wait! Just hope it’s not raining which is a big ask for wales lol

We may well have seen you out out and about that day. We took to the bikes too. Bit chilly, but nice to blow the cobwebs out. Just one point of clarification for you and your viewers; it's the Peak District, not the Peaks. It's named after the Peak people ie the district of the Peak people. It has nothing at all to do with geology or geography. It's hilly, sure, but they are not peaks. Snake pass is currently closed BTW due to a landslip following all of the moist weather we've been having.

@@Adventure4LifeTV Inspireed by your ride, we took to the roads again today. Covered quite a bit of your route. Had a nice cuppa in Monyash. Back through Bakewell and Matlock. Only a couple of hours but again nice to be out and about

I'd be interested to know how you go on with the gopro 10 and an external battery. Mine was fine on v1.2 even without a battery in the camera. Since I updated to v1.3 it all gone south. Love the vids and dronework.

Great ride and stunning scenery. What battery pack do you use for the GoPro? I have a GP 8 and it eats batteries at about 1 per 45 minutes. Congrats on the 1K subs - well deserved with such great riding and filming 👍

With regards to the battery pack, I just purchased an Anker one of Amazon. It works perfectly and it was only down a quarter bu the time I got home after a full day riding. Defo a great addition.

You’re so right about the sun being out making everything seem better. Incidentally it looks like you’ve got you phone & intercom paired with the TFT. I tried this when I first got my bike but it was horribly unreliable so unpaired it all. I’m guessing it’s working ok for you?
Hi Derv, yes it has been working much better now. It seemed to get better after I updated the connected app a few months back. It was a right pain before that.

I get you on the sound! If I could change one thing, it would be the sound. it has that ticking sound which is odd but i'm used to it now, some say it sounds like a tractor lol. Apart from that I love everthing about the bike. :)
