- Finally the sun has arrived in the UK and that can only mean one thing! Lots more motorbike riding,
In this mini series I head up to the beautiful Lake District where I try to visit a few of the many beautiful passes in the area.
Watch me in this Episode as I head north where I start my tour in Windermere heading over to Coniston and then over the absolutely stunning Wrynose pass.
I am absolutely loving the power of the BMW GS 1250 Adventure and find it to be the perfect bike for this type of exploring.

Awesome video. Your reactions too the scenery are brilliant. Makes me need to be there. Been holidaying and staying in the langdale valley for 30 years. Went for the first time on a bike last year. Through north Yorkshire and the Yorkshire dales ,on day 1 to get there. Day 2 wrynose and hardknott pass, wasdale head ( brilliant road ) Ravenglass, Broughton in Furness, Torver,Coniston,Ambleside, up the struggle to Kirkstone Inn, Bowness for tea and back to base. Day 3 Keswick, Whinlatter pass, Buttermere, Honister pass, Borrowdale, back to Keswick, A66 to Pooley Bridge, Haweswater, back around ulswater , over Kirkstone pass again, pub for tea bed 🤣. Day 4 different route through the dales back home. Sorry to harp on a bit, but watching your video got me buzzing again. Going back in June with 3 mates. 2 of them have never heard of these passes, should be a laugh. Can't wait for part 2 👍👍😁

DId this route last year Ambelside - Wrynose - Hardknott - Ulpha - Coniston - Winderemere. Stunning riding, was on a K1600GT which made the Hardknott particularly challenging. :)

i was up from southport just an hour or so before you on a similar rout, even filled up at the same petrol station and pump as you, ha. took my honda forza 300cc , brilliant scooter nothing fazed it. left my BMW 800 gs at home this time, just cruising around the lakes on any bike with 2 wheels is just awesome, thanks a million for the vidio, keep up the good work.

If you think the views and landscape where you are is stunning, then I really recommend you to go to western Norway or to Lofoten in the north!
My first time there was 2018 and since then It's almost an obsession for me to ride there, the landscape is actually very much like some parts of New Zealand :)
I have driven around 10000 km there so far and this weekend I will go on a four day trip (approx. 1500 km), and in end of June me and a friend will go to Lofoten in the north. A 4000 km trip 😜

nice video, July have my trip booked, hit Portsmouth at 0630 then on to Land's End, in to Wales taking it all in then up to John O Groats, 12 days of camping and riding on my little F750GS TE around the UK

Excellent video again. Very remote area and plenty of traffic on this day. Fun place to land a medevac helicopter - that’s what I used to do. Look forward to the next episode 👍

Just bought my new 2024 R 1250 GSA Triple Black…looking forward to catching up with your channel now…thinking of bringing my family to the UK next spring and staying in the Lake District…any recommendations on places to say or things to see would be great. We want to see the English countryside more than the cities!

I've done all the passes in the lake district on a 303kg Yamaha Royal Star with full luggage and a pillion, hard going but Absolutely fabulous. Enjoy dude.

Great video mate, going to do a loop round the lakes myself at the weekend. Just recently got a 1200, will be my first decent trip on it. Hopefully be in a position to get a 1250 Adventure soon enough!

Nice vlog mate. I'm lucky as I live in north Manchester so, the lakes are just a couple of hours from me. I did wrynose and Hardnot last week. By the way, for fks sake don't call it 'lake Windermere'! 'Mere' means lake! So your arms actually saying. 'Lake winder lake'. 🤣. Ride safe and enjoy.

@@Adventure4LifeTV . If you ever do a pub quiz, ask how many lakes are in the Lake District? The answer is one. All the others are either Meres, Tarns or Waters. Bassenthwate is the only one actually called a Lake, 😁. 🏍.
Enjoyed your video, can you tell me what day of the week you did this on. I'm assuming it was a weekend. I'm bringing 3 friends up in early July and plan on avoiding the lakes at the weekend, I know it will be busy during the week too but what can you do? Will also be doing the dales which you mentioned. Have you tried the Gorest of Bowland, a ride from Morecombe or Lancaster down the trough of Bowland which runs alongside the Ribble to dunsop bridge then left back up to settle or right towards Whitewell is well worth a ride. We will probably do that on the Sunday.

Winter has arrived all in one day here in Perth Western Australia it’s piddling down but still 27 degrees Celsius now it’s my time to be envious of the weather…. Beautiful scenery mate loved the vid but I hate cyclists 🚴♀️ pain in the arse we call them mamils( middle aged men in Lycra) 😂😂😂👍🇦🇺
Still think N Wales is better ride
