Unfortunately Saphe only gave the discount code for a month but only mentioned it when someone else went to order one

How well does it work against portable speed camera vans? Does it tell you high risk zones ect?
You mentioned that there is no subscription required. However, it wouldn't work through your apple carplay unless you purchased the subscription. This is slightly misleading.
Think you’ve got the wrong info here, there is a subscription model for pro features, at the time of filming the Saphe app (which is also a navigation app) wouldn’t work through Apple car play, however in the latest updates that now works
Sound was still coming through which you can here in the video, there is now a Pro model also which a video is coming early January on which gives you 12 months subscription for the pro features
What do the buttons actually do? Surely you don’t need them if it just works automatically?
You can add more points of cameras or hazards and it adds them to the map without the need for touching your phone to warn other users
I wanted to develop such device . Didn't even knew existed but i was working for something more or less the same as i wanted one mainly for speed

Hi Paul , my Saphe has completely turned it self of , I can't seem to get it to start up , What would you advise ,, thanks Paul take care .
Funny you should say this, mine did the exact same a few days ago after a few weeks of not charging, so I plugged it in for an hour still nothing, so kept hold of the 2 buttons either side for 10 seconds and it kicked back in and also had an update on the app

No it goes off and only lights up to Inform you of things

Can this one unit be used on 3 mobile phones in 3 different cars
What’s the point in this. I mean if you have Waze or Google maps. What’s the difference?
For those that dont' have their phone on display, don't have CarPlay/android auto or for the older generation who don't know what Waze is and still want to be protected on the road

Someone needs to report on their device.. but if its been done before it will bleep .most camera vans sit in their same usual spot

Hi Mate, so it is basically an extension of hour phone as in bluetolth connection and you have to have the location on the phone all the time?
U cant say that u dont need a subscription.u do for it to work....
I can say it 100%, I have no subscription apart from being signed in and works just as it should but I’m not in the EU I’m in the UK

It works off your phone and tells you the speed of the road if it has a camera on it
Did you say you had the alert noise coming through your car speakers/stereo? How did you manage that?

Is it just a Tone warning or Speech also telling you the distance the Cameras are away, i dont use the phone sat Nav use the Car , is that a Issue?.
Does it just do one or the other , A Speed Cam Warning or the Accidents or can they both be combined and run together ?

Sounds like a place car when it goes off, scared the life out of me when it first done it thought I was getting pulled over
Just bought Saphe Drive Pro and Im quite disappointed. The website breaks, theres no easy way to upgrade subscription and the product features is misleading.
Saphe presents its product as if it can display the near real time speed limit in location but its not! The web app does not show this and the device looks dumb with just battery and gps icon. The device even auto switch off screen and made me doubt if its on or not.
I have an App only subscription and I have to buy a new subscription to pair my device. This is despite the price is just the same! The site provides cancellation but its broken because you can only cancel this via Apple’s subscription menu on Iphone.
Saphe supports Mobilepay but i attempts to launch the Mobilepay app on a device that I dont have mobilepay. And theres no other way to send susbcription request to my other phone where I do these kind of transactions.
I hope theres better alternative to this.

Hi mate it certainly does however it’s similar to Waze, were it’s user operated so it would of had to of been in that location in the past and been marked
@@PaulRankinYT so in layman terms no it doesnt detect them, someone even with saphe could be caught speeding by camera, then he has to use device to port it been there.
Can you use this with saphe running in the background on your phone or does it have to be fully open?
Can be in the background, just have to change your settings to always allow

Certainly does and also avg speed cams on motorways

It does mate but don’t think it works off a signal the van is putting out I think it goes off pre existing places the van is known to have been parked

Hey John, the phone does pair up to it, I have mine set to always allow that way it’s active as soon as I drive away, I have an updated video coming soon with it
U just need bluetooth on .. and settings on phone to allow always location on saphe app and its ok .. thats what i do ..

Tbh mate I use it everyday and haven’t had chance to notice any differences as my journey has been the same for the last 2 weeks
@@PaulRankinYT cheers paul, i already have tomtom cameras on my sat nav and also on my aguri dash cam. Just thought this is a good unit only lacking the mobile reports to be better

@@PaulRankinYT i have tried waze. If i use it with my van via carplay i need to use the usb port. I like to have my music on a usb stick in the port. Just wanted a simple unit to trip and to report the camera vans. Im half and half deciding ti get one
@@kevinclough2394 it’s a shame they took the discount code away so quickly, could of save some money on it. It is a great unit like when I was on a smart motorway a few weeks back and it went off to warn me

Hi Rich, in the settings on the app you can adjust the volume and tone you want. Mine was loud as I had my phone plugged in for Apple Car Play so it came through the speakers

Hi Paul. I have had this unit for a couple of weeks. Great bit of kit. Sometimes the sound comes through the speakers really loud, which is what I need. But sometimes it seems just to come from the phone which is not loud enough. How do I make it come through the speakers all of the time? Thankd

Unfortunately they only ran the discount for 2 weeks and never told me, they did extend it for another 4 weeks but I think that times now also passed
