This is from abba in Japan . I'm a huge ABBA fan with a large collection including 1 thousands 4 hundred camera photos and 70 posters and over 70 abba books all diffrent .this is just small part of my collection
Never figured out why people didn't like disco? Disco was and still is my favourite music genre. I still play it 40 years on. And many of ABBA's best songs were those with a disco vibe like this one.
Frida and Agnetha are the most gorgeous pop stars ever graced show business. This is One of my favorite deep cuts from them. Also react to the their song The Piper very folksy artsy song
I really love legendary Rutger Gunnarsson on base wich is soo groovy 🎸 One of the most underrated songs by ABBA. This track were supposed to be the single from their Voulez-Vous album, but in the last minute they changed it to Chiquita wich probably stole the attention from this song. Personaly i like this one more 💃🏼🕺🏼 Björn who wrote this song as a reaction to his divorce with Agnetha. So its about him having problem to forget her during nights. Another thing with Björn and Benny is that everything was about the music. So when they composed them they didnt have any lyrics. First when they started recording the music in studio then they wrote the lyrics and gave them to the girls. Thats why the music and lyrics often differ with a happy uptempo song but with lyrics that can be a bit sad. So geniously done. 👌🏼
Yes,ABBA really did disco very well. Not surprisingly though as they did any music genre they played very well. They mastered disco, pop, rock, even heavy metal, yes,I read right. Check out songs like Watch Out and King Kong song, with ABBA, and do reactions on them, and you will see yourself,if you didnt heard those 2 gems before. I agree with you both,it was nice too to see some photos of them there, happy photos,as well as happy performances, thats what you got with ABBA.
And you guys have to do SO LONG !! Song with high tempo:-) So fun to see live-clips from tv-shows with "so long",,the audience sits like they´re in a church..
ABBA is the Music from my Childhood - but this Song I have heard for the first Time a few Months ago - a real great Song 🥳🍾👍 Greetings from Nuremberg - Germany 🙂
A lot of Disco was great, it only got a bad rap from people who don't know how to enjoy themselves and are so busy trying to be cool they miss life's school. Some of the best pop music ever came from Bee Gees, ABBA and other sin the Disco era.
There was always something funny about ABBA that they could appeal to so many people with so many diverse interests -- almost all of my "Music Folder" is Rammstein, Black Sabbath, Primal Fear, Squealer, Hammerfall, etc., but I still have all the old ABBA songs on my computer to this day, and love playing them for anyone (e.g. recent arrivals to Canada, etc.) who haven't heard of the band already. Great choice!
Try ABBA - Hole In Your Soul, epic rock'n'roll (glam rock) featurig Agnetha's metal vocal specially written for Wembley and Canada / US tour. They knew how make hits out of pop, disco, rock, rhythmic ballad even of baroque pop. JukeBox!
Hashtag Mamma Mia in TikTok already got about 1 billion views. Together with other ABBA's hashtags over 1.5 billions. Ed Shiran's Shape of you about 650 millions. Best band ever!
This is a great, catchy,"not so famous" song and Frida & Agneta ,we are used to see them stand still when they sing..so great song and video ! Now please do EAGLES,with ABBA,
@@malcolmbrown7683 - Yes. It HAS to be the long version. The official edited version rips the heart and soul out of the song. Here's the best performance of it: th-cam.com/video/ikUAAI9QIg8/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Superstellina2012
Best ever for me, yet at the time it wasn't up in the charts as much as the other songs, such a shame. Love, love, loved it. I was a teenager then!!! xx
In the 80s soviet sailor Kuznetsov on purpose learned swedish language and escaped from a submarine in the Baltic Sea, In scuba gear heroically reached to Sweden and survived to see a blonde girl from ABBA. At that time Agnetha was going through a tough days related to divorce and break up of the band. Finally he was deported to the Soviet Union by a Stockholm's court order. I think this feat connected to Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man after Midnight).
I know you're going to get around to Summer Night City one of these weeks... ;-) I remember seeing an Abba documentary some time in the late 1990s and it only had interviews with three of them because, for a while, Agnetha completely retreated from public life and didn't want anything to do with fame and publicity. She barely, grudgingly conceded to being filmed walking down a street while they did a voice-over explaining this. Apparently her attitude changed again at some point after that.
Now to make us all feel old, the best group of the 70s are all in their 70s. Frida was alwas a more confident dancer than Agnetha but she is giving it a go in this.
You've probably not heard of it because it was never released as a single. It was a track on the "Voulez Vous" album so unless you own that album, you wouldn't really know it. Those girls voices together were totally unique, I've never heard it from anyone else all these years later. When you hear one of their songs , you KNOW It's ABBA. Dancing Queen was a US No 1 for them.
Thanks so much for reacting to this one. It's one of my favourites. It's got a great vibe to it, and it SO epitomizes the disco era. It recently went viral on TikTok when it was used as the music for a hair commercial! Some people have suggested you react to 'Eagle' which is indeed a great song, and is NOT disco. It has more of a west coast 'Eagles' vibe to it. But, if you do it, please react to this full version of it, not the awful edited version! th-cam.com/video/ikUAAI9QIg8/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Superstellina2012

The music scene from 1975 to 1979 was on fire. So many fabulous disco bands, groups and solo acts. An incredible time and I feel incredibly lucky to have lived though it. And now when I now look at the American music scene I feel like crying. It's tragic. Where has all the talent gone? Rap crap everywhere. And when it's not rap it's some overrated autotuned wannabee who'll be forgotten within the decade.
@@MikeandGinger Well, it can be amusing to watch, but quite terrible too! As is Space 1999. I think most episodes contained a hairy monster, with extremely bad masks.. =D Best with it is the design overall. Logans Run is a very good movie though
It also does remind me of Flash Gordon. I THINK YOUR REVIEW IS KIND OF EMPTY, YOU COULD HAVE TALKED ABOUT THE INCREDIBLE WALL OF SOUND EFFECT IN THE CHORUS WITH THE GIRLS VOICES. THE EXCELLENT BASS LINE, THE STRINGS ARRANGEMENTS. COME ON GUYS!!! LOOKS LIKE IF YOU'RE JUST DOING ABBA VIDEOS BECAUSE YOU KNOW THEY PAY OFF!!!
As great as the song is you didn't say anything about it but comment its Disco and about their appearance. Sorry but compared to other Reaction videos I was disappointed.
Rubbish. They were good and they were good enough. They were cute, feminine, charming and understated. Exactly how I like it. Better that than the overblown over choreographed cringe too often seen in music videos. Some of the 2000's stuff looks more like a gym workout than a dance.

Have you heard 😏😅
¡¡¡Si!!! ABBA forever🤩🤩🤩.
In addition to their great music, the girls were beautiful, the men were handsome, and all four of them were very photogenic! What's not to like?
One of my favourite ABBA songs, definitely a hidden gem.
Totally agree
Same here. The best ABBA songs are usually not their best known ones.
Ginger knows talent! Bless you beautiful!💕💫✨
How was this not a hit?!
This is certainly one of ABBA's best (if not the best).
The backing vocals on this!😲😲😁
Never figured out why people didn't like disco? Disco was and still is my favourite music genre. I still play it 40 years on. And many of ABBA's best songs were those with a disco vibe like this one.
Disco in the late 70s was mostly pretty monotonous. Apart from ABBA, Donna Summer, Boney M and a few others, it was forgettable.

The most underrated ABBA song! Still is my favorite song from the Voulez-Vous album!
Simply an amazing song!!
This sounds so good!!! OMG, one of my top ABBA songs so far, I love it!
It’s so uplifting musicwise but so sad lyrically.. and it’s so ABBA… two amazing voices with great music
One of my favorite ABBA songs! This, Kisses Of Fire, and Me and I

Another good one for the Voulez-Vous album is “As Good As New” very disco with great use of strings
'Lovers (live a little longer)' is their best disco from that album for me
