Their costumes were made by a high school teacher, Owe Sandström. He taught farming and about farm animals, a very talented, kind and appreciated person and teacher. He's born 1944 but I know he was still teaching at Spånga gymnasium until just a few years ago, I would'nt be surprised if he still does from time to time❤️🇸🇪
Love those strings too.Btw all sounds and instruments can be heard in such a crispy way.Their genius engineer Michael B Tretow was a real scient of sound conception.Great reaction.
Frida with melted chocolate vocals and Agnetha with the precision iced high notes all wrapped in a multi-layered delicate flake pastry, the perfect dessert. It made a pretty good pop song and delicious video too!😄 Totally agree with the stage performances as well, they didn't need gimmicks to distract from two naturally beautiful charismatic women and the great music.
hello again, good start to the weekend for You, and thanks for take this new reaction to ABBA These is a video from TV special ABBA in Japan "If it wasn't for the nights" (1978) is a cute disco-style ABBA song that combines the contrast of dense lyrics with a catchy melody and impeccable singing by the duo Agnetha & Frida is another track with disco sound influenced by Bee Gees and the movie Saturday Night Fever "If it wasn't for the nights" also has a story ABBA had been invited to participate in the UNICEF Benefit Concert and was going to go with this song, which was to be the new single (at these time Björn & Agnetha was in the middle of your separation) But weeks before ABBA composed a new song, a Masterpiece, that changed it's history: "Chiquitita" "Chiquitita" was chosen by ABBA to perform in that World Concert, they premiered there and it was their new single, and its worldwide success was colossal (especially in Latin America) and "If it wasn't for the nights" finally wasn't a single, only was a traçk in the "Voulez Vous" album To clóse the story of "If it wasn't for the nights" now you could react "Chiquitita" at the UNICEF Concert May your day continue well Kind regards from Buenos Aires Argentina South America
''I actually prefer this to a very choreographed dance' it does look 'non-fake' indeed. Yes!I love that too. Some may say it's unsynchronized or kinda awkard but to me It's spontaneous and quite charming.
I love it too! Frida has had some dance training in her background (ballet I believe) she had great moves I thought. Others have been terrible to her saying she looked drunk🙄🙄 ridiculous.
hey great song and great reaction. this indeed was from their tv special in Japan where they did several songs on that stage. Frida has some moves! she was known for dancing all night in her favorite Swedish discotech. Benny hated dancing so she would have to dance with others and would wear them all out whiie she'd still be going strong till Benny dragged her home lol. Benny and Bjorn were way ahead of their time with all the layering of music. so good. they also layered the girls voices doing take after take till the girls complained they would have no voices left have you done Summer Night City? Another great dance song that is a tribute to their beloved Stockholm, they are shown all over the city including a discotech. take care
They are all so sponteanous singing, dancing and playing the instruments, they don't pretend they are enjoying, they are REALLY enjoying. That's for me the main factor that made them great!
(New Sub) Disco pop fantastic song! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 🅰️🅱️🅱️🅰️ Has it all! Try 'The King has lost his crown' (Frida's voice is so much sexy on that😍). Good to see you, Coach... Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗👍
I wouldn't care if they could sing a note.I just wanna look at the sight of these two beautiful girls. But i'm double lucky since they sing with divine blended voices and can sent a lwhole flock of some of today's autotuned music female 'singers" to hide in shame and never to come back again.
This was from a Japanese TV Show. I love the fact that they just did their own thing regarding dancing, never copied anyone else, no organised choreography, just pure spontaneity. Another hugely successful group who did that was Boney M, they didn't care either, just did their own thing and it worked.
All four were very good in what they do, professionals 100%, but my heart beats more for Agnetha. I started seeing them in Eurovision, and still now in 2024, goosebumps come to my skin every time I see or hear them. Excellent band!!! Went to London only to see Voyage, and wow.
Thx ! But girls' voices are like instruments for overall musicality, to exclude voices, would be to reduce musicality. They have voices that fit together as we know, but they are very, very good performers outside of their voice. And Agnetha's clear and powerful voice when needed is out of the ordinary.
6:40 - they are miming and pretending to play instruments to a totally recorded track - so not sure why the band would be amazed she “hit the high note”??
"is there a bad ABBA song?" Yes. For instance "Rock Me" is one of the worst songs and performances ever to assault the listening public. (And that's coming from an ABBA fan).
@@coachmichael1015 It really is horrible. Bjorn puts on this ridiculous, grating "rock guy" voice and the tune is just a stumbling, loping doesn't know what it wants to be jumble. I know you can find ABBA fans who like any song, but yeesh. On the other hand you might want to check out an ABBA song that some think is a slight ABBA song, but others like me think is one of the better deep cuts: My Mamma Said. It's their early attempt at some slinky R&B. I think they saw it as an unsuccessful attempt at a genre that wasn't natural to them at the time. But I think that's much of it's success. It's R&B put through the ABBA-Swedish filter so it comes out with this really icy, laid back, mysterious vibe. With a terrific little jazzy, funky guitar solo by Janne Schaffer. The song manages to sound amazingly contemporary even now.

"If it wasn't for the nights" (1978)
is a cute disco-style ABBA song that combines the contrast of dense lyrics with a catchy melody and impeccable singing by the duo Agnetha & Frida
is another track with disco sound influenced by Bee Gees and the movie Saturday Night Fever
"If it wasn't for the nights"
also has a story
ABBA had been invited to participate in the UNICEF Benefit Concert and was going to go with this song, which was to be the new single (at these time Björn & Agnetha was in the middle of your separation)
But weeks before ABBA composed a new song,
a Masterpiece, that changed it's history: "Chiquitita"
"Chiquitita" was chosen by ABBA to perform in that World Concert, they premiered there and it was their new single, and its worldwide success was colossal (especially in Latin America)
and "If it wasn't for the nights" finally wasn't a single,
only was a traçk in the "Voulez Vous" album
To clóse the story of "If it wasn't for the nights"
now you could react "Chiquitita" at the UNICEF Concert
May your day continue well

I recall once reading a comment by a guy quoting, "back then we didn't need prozak...we had Abba!".
Hahaha - I love it
And he was right!❤😂

Mi favorita de ABBA. Impresionante 🤩🤩🤩
Beautifully crafted music.
Great song and you are so right in regards to the choreography.
Also love when they dance off on their own, feels real
To me, this song sounds like Dancing Queen and Voulez Vous all in one. ♥
You're right, it does!❤🇸🇪

One of my favourite of theirs. Also note the sad lyrics to an upbeat melody....classic Abba
Agnetha was Soprano and Frida was mezzo-Soprano. I love these girls especially Frida and I love ABBA ❤
Disco masterpiece 🔥 always high quality with Abba ! ❤❤❤
Bro agree - Frida is absolute bomb ... ten times a day will love her :)
How is it possible this wasn't a major hit? Did it drown among their other hits?
The best song that wasn’t a single ❤

More Abba 🙏 🙏 🙏 👋 👋
Not a singel from ABBA but top 10 song from me
"The music sounds familiar"....the song is from 1979..45 yrs old.
Nice reaction. Mighty fine beard by the way.
Ha ha yes Bjorns platform shoes. The girls were pretty tall especially Frida
There are NOT A bad ABBA song...
Yes, there are bad ABBA songs
I Saw It In The Mirror; I Am Just A Girl; What About Livingstone, Crazy World - they are all absolutely dreadful songs
6:40 - they are miming and pretending to play instruments to a totally recorded track - so not sure why the band would be amazed she “hit the high note”??

@watchflexwatchflex5956I also disagree, "Rock me" has such an innocence❤🇸🇪
lol!LUV it.But I love the Live version from 1977 Australian tour.
I love Rock Me
