It's been brilliant to see so many comments on my TH-cam videos these past two months. Thank you so much for these kind and interesting comments as they really do help my channel grow and this will also encourage me to post videos every single day on my upcoming walk through Ireland! I only came across you today on facebook. Love the videos. I'm not really a walker, gives me back ache and sore feet. I'm motorcycling South America so well into the wild-camping. i think the advantage to walking here would be the saving of pointless border documents for the bike, although the distances are huge. Seen some cyclists along the way along with a guy pushing a trolley. You're a much better v-logger than I am. Keep up the good work, it keeps me sane while locked down in Argentina.
Never really considered your perspective that would the comments, feedback and likes etc. that you might end up feeling like you're "talking to a camera in a field" - Brilliant! Love it. I was kind of thinking that you don't really have the time to be reading all the comments - Love your videos Derek but that is largely because you are a very skilled storyteller and filmmaker - Thank you
Brilliant Derek good luck man and I am leaving derry on Thursday I will cycle up to malinhead camp over night then keep going on wild Atlantic way stop in donagal then my brother will meet me there and be my support driver all the way to cork all packed up now collect my new bike early Thursday morning and leave lunch time super excited and watching watch you do makes me buzz off it you are unbelievable man I just hope others get what I get when watching you on the walks fantastic 🇮🇪💪
@@DerekCullenOutdoors thank you Derek I will post short videos time to time and loads of pictures to my Facebook cycling page it will be fun thanks for sharing your videos it helps me stay focused on my adventures and all no fires gas stove is the way 🙌💪
Just discovered your channel, Derek. You are such an inspiration! Thanks for sharing your adventures, thoughts, revelations with us. It's pure magic. 🙏
Best of luck Derek. Can't wait to watch. Waiting for the kids to be taken so myself and the girlfriend can do the Dublin Mountain Way. Great video as always.
Great to see what you are taking on this trip. I hope it all goes well and that you enjoy every minute of it. I'll be following along with everyone else but for now, fair play and best of luck. Mind yourself 👍
Your gear looks great 👍 very light and compact for length of your trip. I always bring too much stuff when I go camping, I'm always trying to reduce the size and weight of my gear😅 you should look into the soft water filter bottles. The brand Lifestraw make one as far as I know, mine is made by Katadyn, its 1ltr. They're great, I swear by mine, not the cheapest though, about 40 quid, but well worth it. Looking forward to your videos on the trip. Hope you have a great time 👍😊
Thanks for the tip and this is a great idea. I haven't looked at this yet due to the price to be honest but will likely invest in the near future because they look really good and useful ! Cheers JR
you'll probably not see this since your video is a few years old. Wondering if the waterproof shoes are really needed; don't your feet get wet anyway? And then the waterproof shoes never dry out. I'm thinking of taking just trail runners that dry quickly for Ireland. Love your videos!
Really looking forward to vicariously enjoying your hike, Derek! Is there anything more satisfying then neatly laying out your gear before packing? My OCD approves!
Looking forward to your adventure actually can't wait to see all the upcoming vids! currently living in mexico and dreaming of camping in Ireland again soon so really excited to see your journey. What I like about this trip is the thought of needing to camp every night. Best of luck Derek I'll be following closely
Thanks Derek! I'm doing the Ireland Way this summer. Flying in from Canada and wondering if you know where I could pick up fuel for my stove. Somewhere in Cork? I'm going South to West. Thanks!!
Good luck with the walk. I'm not sure if you mentioned but what's the cumulative amount in weight you will be carrying?. Also are you camping the whole time or are/would you take up the odd offer of accomodation in someones house on the route?.
@@turkishdelight7083 Nothing planned. I can't afford to invest in any more inventory/stock at this time and have a lot of hoodies/sweaters to sell first :)
