Half way after the second phase, All of my team died except joker and I didn’t have any revives. The music plus the intense 1v1 battle between joker and konoe had my blood rushing. I won and finished it with a showtime attack and I had never felt so much hype in my life

@@Master_Fortune even more so if you went Skrew my teammates. I’ll face this ‘hero’ myself. My god, soloing bosses in this feel so much more satisfying then it ever was while turn based.
Especially when the moment you get into the red, you suddenly start perfect dodging everything like your in a dream.
Still, it makes me wish there was a way to have your teammates just spectate and not agro the boss so you can do a 1v1 with someone other then joker.

How did not have any revives. I hade over 3 dozen (almost all only get 50% health back) revives
Hero Konoe is probably the most badass character in the franchise. Yes, everyone survives explosions in Persona 5, but nobody just fucking walks it off and then pulls out a mf sword and keeps fighting. Akira Konoe is just cool as hell.

If I am honest, if there is anothe game set in Persona 5's setting I want the next Phantom Thief to have there outfit definatly look Sentai inspited with a full helmet
Another life, just like another persona 5, 3rd to the end, villian using the metaverse to achieve goals, geez he's so similar to akechi, I wish the suit stayed charred in the second phase just as a call back to akechi, like he just reminds me so much of akechi, he is akechi if he had won for sure.
The opposite is also true and sad. In another life -- like say, the Yaldabaoth ending -- Joker could have been another Konoe.
This fight wasn't too difficult even on Hard but HOLY SHIT, was it cool. Him being so insanely cool + the action + the music put me into a level of excitment and fun that made me remember why I ever fell in love with videogames. This doesn't happen as often anymore.
Yeah is not difficult but hell if it is satisfactory to perfect dodge second phase
This battle filled me with such a level of serotonin that I can't even describe

Technically they can call it Righteousness since it’s a trope itself.
As much as the guy, it remind me how directly this guy related to Google in a sense that they don’t actually call out here.
That trope is not much on surface and likely it’s something quite interesting to see why some ppl are so fixated to what they called Justice.
Of course, if you hear the same thing over and over. It would be quite boring when you have ppl with the same mentality do the same shit overtime because they believe that they are right or it doesn’t matter the cost as their solutions are something not much different from doesn’t give a shit about others or actually care out it. The boss fights in this game are exhilarating and fast paced that you don’t have the time to read and understand most of the things they’re saying during battle.
This is probably too late for you but when you want to hear the dialogue you can just hold down the gun button and don't shoot. It pauses the battle but dialogues continue.

I love how the between-phase cutscene has Ryuji and Makoto- the Thieves who specialize in Konoe’s weaknesses- look the most battle ready.
The timing of the rivers in the desert remix was fire

I like the fact that the appearance of a monarch goes hand in hand with the convictions of each one. In this case, Konoe had an iron will and, in addition to that taste for heroes, it did not make him look pathetic like the previous ones.
It also shows his greatest comfort he took was with the old TV show he used to watch as a kid Zeypherman as his apperance and his mech were based around it. It pretty much became the armour to protect himself from the pain he no doubt was going through.
Low key these boss fight are more enjoyable than before.
Honestly I didn't really like P5S lineup of bosses, but I really, really liked Akira's boss fight

The music is what does it for me. Like Singularity and Anti Hero make the jails way more enjoyable for me than they probably would have been

Well remember, people barely even know how or why the phantom thieves do what they do other than the occasional calling card saying "You're a jerk so we're going to force you to stop". Sure Akira knows they use the metaverse but he's got no idea what the heart changing process of the original story even was other than that they made a calling card and within two days there were grown men crying on national television and apologizing for various highly illegal crimes. I could see why he thinks he's doing the same as them.
This comment made me choose Akira over the Thieves. Sure, Konoe used underhanded methods to achieve his version of peace but aren't the Thieves methods also punishable by law? Hacking the airwaves, trespassing, vandalism...
There need to be more villains like Konoe. For a brief moment, I was on his side cuz he was making pretty valid points.

On akira's phase 2 boss fight, he can use cross slash which was supposed to be exclusive to izanagi and is one of the hardest moves to perfect dodge.
As a Ryuji main, this boss fight was epic beyond epic, for real!
TBH I kinda wish Zenkichi or Joker would've been forced to solo Akira. That would've made this much harder and much cooler.

Gotta say when it comes to the identity and of the phantom thieves, this has to be the most important fight. I really like how konoe was built and how he was so similar to the thieves. It was important they added this dialogue to show that.
Something about his suit up sequence feels so badass, Rivers in The Desert is playing and he becomes a fucking Power Ranger with a lightsaber

What you're supposed to do: Dash around and use the railguns to stun him
What I did: Swap to Zenkichi, Heat Riser, Debilitate, Wolf's Fury (triangle), spam basic attacks (I can't remember if Zenkichi gets Debilitate by this boss fight considering I'm far into NG+ now but that is my strategy for every boss fight and it works)
Honestly i couldn't hate konoe what he did was wrong using Akane like that but you can hear in his voice and how he fights is just a scared boy crying for help he wanted someone to save him he wanted a hero to rescue him from his abusive father but no one never came so he decided to become his own hero but he got so warp in his ideal to be one he lost his path and became corrupted he's not like Shido Konoe was just misguided he needed to be stop but i feel for the guy
This is how I know I was over leveled for this fight, I never gave him the chance to use megidolaon on me hell I didn't even know he used megidolaon a some point until watching this because I wanted to listen to the second battle music

As a dark souls veteran, this fight is easy but SO SATISFYING.
doing the post game request version of his fight as solo joker is really fun, his second phase is relentless when he has full focus on just 1 character

My personal theory is that since he had an extensive knowledge of the metaverse, he actually remembered the Yaldabaoth event. After seeing what Yaldabaoth wanted to do, he actually agreed with him, so he saw the god of control as an idol figure, so he created his main force of power after his image.

Nah they use the same method, but have different motives. Akira wants to rid the world of evil by monitoring people trough jails, while yaldaboath just wanted people to blindly follow him

For the second phase I hardly used my Persona, just went full hand to hand combat, didn’t even know what tf was going on half the time just pure adrenaline and button mashing.

That Boss Fight was better then the whole Okumura Arc and its Dungeon. Plus Akira would been a great Phantom Thieve Member if he wouldnt strive away from his Path and going wrong with its Justice.

Let's be honest would you want the palace rulers and jail monarchs to remain their filthy degenerate selves. If the phantom thives didn't do what had to be done people like kamoshida, madarame and shido would still be taking advantage of people.
Except the idea of the Phantom Thieves changing hearts is to help their targets regain the lost consciences that they had lost at some point in their lives, while the idea of Konoe changing hearts isn't even changing hearts at all, but purely brainwashing them into doing whatever he tells them to do at whatever time. Both Konoe and the Phantom Thieves may have the same wish to make the world a better place, but both their means in changing hearts is completely different.

If you think about it, his first lines in the cutscene before the boss fight actually could be used to apply to Tony as well.
The two heroes that came before him would have been Captain America and Captain Marvel.
Captain America is assumed to be dead, and Captain Marvel has gone into space. So, there are no heroes left. And Tony himself wasn't a hero at the start.
So, why not make a hero? Why not make Iron Man?
