    I like this. I have often dreamed of trying to design a strap that would have an over-center buckle mechanism; a clasp mechanism like you find on a toolbox. With a mechanism like that you wouldn't have to struggle to pull the strap tight, it would pull the strap tight automatically.

      Very cool concept! That would save lots of fingers from hurting! :D

    Nice setup! I've been experiencing issues in cold weather, so I'm considering something incredibly simple where I wouldn't have to remove my gloves. Any suggestions?

      Possibly something that just pops in and you turn a dial and the entire strap tightens onto the battery. At the moment I have no clue how to make that happen lol. Would take lots of thought . Hmm first thought it mind is worm clamp. Hmmm. 🤔

      @@YTFPV I see, yes makes it much more complicated unless you intend to use the same battery over and over. Would be very difficult to design. Someday when I'm really bored I will think about it though!! Thanks for the ideas.

      Actually i found a way to make it you have a 3d printer i presume ? I just got the Nazgul and i am so use to DJI product clip on battery . On the Nazgul will super easy to make it work i am not sure about the material would be strong enough. It would have to be one size battery but i would think most guy fly only one size for fpv easier to carry and charge @@PattyFlipz

      I will Patty. Thanks again. The battery pad that I put on my frame is pretty grippy already and it's a 7" quad that I don't really do any aerobatics with. I'm using two battery straps right now. They're good ones from RDQ that have a somewhat tacky side toward the battery. They work great but I've wanted to print my own. I've designed a few in my mind but haven't printed out any prototypes. Yours look like a great design.

      I'm printing a large strap and loop as we speak! I recorded a little video as it prints and with your permission I'll post a video on my channel showcasing your strap. I'll put a link to your channel in the description with a blurb promoting your product. Again with your permission of course. I want you to get full credit for your intellectual property. I've had designs stolen myself and actually sold by knuckle heads so I know how aggravating that can be. I don't profit from TH-cam or from any of my hobbies. I just like sharing information and aerial drone photography with my friends around the world. I'll keep you updated. Happy flying amigo.

    I find the real problem for every battery isn't the grip on the frame but the battery slipping out. My solution is a battery top side strap holder that sticks on to the battery and holds the strap in the right position for weight balance. It saves me a lot of batteries as most batteries get damaged when they don't stay in the correct position or slide out completely.

    Velcro seems more secure, especially if you use it instead of sticky pad too. Battery is not moving.

    • @PattyFlipz
      @PattyFlipz  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Totally. Traditional Velcro strap is better with regular battery pad for sure. But everyone should use sticky battery pad imo. Give the proto strap a shot! Takes getting use to. Can always improve on the design. Imagine an ultra wide version.. make it however wide OR stiff you wish. Proto strap is the basis for a free strap you can make at home.
