    Hello everyone, thank you for watching! This is the first in the Football Destinations Japan series, so feel free to let me know which areas of Japan you'd like to see covered in the next few episodes. Thank you!

      Quite a fetch... But how about football in Hokkaido (other than Consadole)? And football in the further south of Japan like Okinawa etc....

    • @LostinFootballJapan
      @LostinFootballJapan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice suggestions! Those are really cool ideas. Hokkaido seems to have a really interesting football league system, and there's another team, apart from FC Ryukyu, that seems to be quite ambitious in Okinawa. Thanks for the suggestions!

      Iwata. The only Japanese champion not to hail from a big city, satellite city or prefectural capital.

    Nice! Enjoyed the video. I read Keisuke Honda launched a team in Tokyo called Edo All United. I will now be on the look out for a Shibuya City FC jersey

    • @LostinFootballJapan
      @LostinFootballJapan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Ah, yes, I remember reading about Keisuke Honda's team. I'll do another video at some point about the non-J.League teams in Tokyo, so I'll look into Honda's team more.
      And, yeah, that Shibuya City shirt is superb!

    Really excellent informative video. I like that you delve into the divisions below the J-League. Would like to see Shizuoka-ken. Lots of history and quality teams.

    Love this style of video! Learnt alot about the Tokyo clubs! Shibuya city certainly have a good brand going, it will be interesting to see if they achieve their goals.
    Maybe a video on the football clubs of Shikoku or Kyushu would be interesting, as well as the ones in Osaka and other major cities, I'm sure you've already considered these already. Also, a video on big club rivalries and their history might be a good watch.
    Thanks for your content :)

      Thank you! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed this style of video!
      And thanks for the video suggestions! Kyushu and Shikoku are two of my favourite parts of Japan, so would love to make videos about football there.
      And I've got a couple of football rivalry videos in the pipeline, so hopefully they'll be out soon.
      Thanks for the comment!

    Another great video, thank you! I love that you talked about Beleza and their huge success (if only FC Tokyo had a women's team too) and the information on the lower league clubs was fascinating, one to watch again I think to take it all in! Thank you!

    • @LostinFootballJapan
      @LostinFootballJapan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Beleza are probably deserving of their own video with all the success they've had. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they get on in the WE League! Thanks for the comment!

    Wow! Very interesting to know about some of those lower league clubs trying to make it big! Technically your best video yet I guess in terms of all the footage you’ve had to seek out and use. Good work

      Thanks! It took a long time to put together, but it was interesting to research all the clubs. The football scene in Tokyo is pretty cool below the J.League!

    This vid was awesome! Definitely had information in it that i had no idea about like all the info concerning the lower tier clubs with grand ambitions. I was already familiar with Tokyo 23. My favorite club is East Tokyo United but that is a club from the manga Giant Killing 😂. Tokyo based club. I guess the next city would be Kyoto since that was the old capital of Japan? Great vid with all the cool editing and looking forward to more👍

    • @LostinFootballJapan
      @LostinFootballJapan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! The football scene in Tokyo below the J.League is fascinating. It's going to be great to see how they all develop. And let's see if a real life East Tokyo United happens in the future!
      Kyoto is a good shout. Definitely an interesting city, and a very cool team in Kyoto Sanga.
      Thanks for the kind words! The next video in the series should be out soon

    Great episode! I’m just more interested in learning of the 100 year plan. Is it only that one club approved for the plan and no J-League clubs are approved? Or is it plans only for clubs not in the J-League?

    • @LostinFootballJapan
      @LostinFootballJapan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! The 100-year-plan status is for clubs below the J.League that want to enter the J.League in the future. Any club that meets the basic requirements can apply. And if they tick all the boxes, they're given 100-year-plan status. If a club has 100-year-plan status, they can get promoted to the J.League if they finish in the top four of the JFL and meet the attendance requirements
