You're not wrong, but salt doesn't clean wounds like as in kill bacteria, what it does is dries the wound in such a way that it actually prevents bacteria from being able to grow, not so much clean.
Had to take care of a 335,000 gallon salt water pool for years at Cibola Vista Resort and Spa. We’d add around 30-50 bags a month to keep our PPM up pass 5,000 PPM for our salt cells to work. Yeah, it’s very high for PPM and TDS are off the list but that was required for Eco-Labs salt cells to work correctly.
Jesus. 5,000ppm is ridiculous. I have a homeowner with a 11,000 gallon pool/spa combo and the salt is above 10,000ppm. Needless to say his Hayward Turbo Cell does not produce any more. 🤣
Well 335k gallons would require that much at the LEAST …I work with residential pools and salt cells produce up to 4K ppm before they stop producing because of high salt. We use the intellichlor salt cells
