- A big transformation for this pool! Not sure how long it’s been left for but it sure did smell really bad!! Stage 1 (the clean up) is done!

certainly is a tiled pool, and of course I will post more about the pool was the work continues! I'm just not sure when they'll be getting on with it.
I vastly prefer a tiled or plastered pool (as opposed to those liners)
@@WindowsXP_logon_sound_25yrsago I guess people go with what they can afford & even I know liners are cheaper. It's all a bit academic for me. I'll never have the income to afford a pool, tiled or otherwise.

It kinda looks to me as if the pool was abandoned during building, look at the half-finished retaining wall with the rebar sticking out and stacks of blocks waiting to be used!

Looks like the person building it ran out of funds, a horrible job to follow on too as any new trades will be left to pick up the pieces from the old contractors.

@@bellaknightR597 I'm the opposite, I like to dive into a deep pool. The pool at my home is not very deep, barely 5.5 ft in the middle and about 3ft on either side, so no diving. Lol

looks like the pool is an indoor pool but they stopped building the walls. Kranzle jetwash works well with the turbo nozzle on. the pool looks like its never been used looks new now. nice work.

I'd love to see you and Sid from Partridge Exterior Cleaning get together for a transformation like this. He's got all the right equipment to do the cleaning and you have the know how to get the pool running. I'm sure some of those guys that do pressure washing can share some tips and ideas on a small time set up for jobs like this.

Delighted to see an English swimming pool with actual tiles (rather than that wrap stuff)! (Most Aussie pools are tiled). How gorgeous they looked when clean - what a delight this pool will be to swim in, in the summertime... great job!

Rather than a vacuum for the final half inch of water and debris that the pump won't lift get yourself a pressure washer venturi pump.
This pump uses no moving parts only water pressure from the pressure washer and can cope with debris including leaves, silt and stones etc.
As part of my work i look after a number of very large ornamental fountains and the venturi pump is a life saver for cleaning these out and will pump right down to the ground level.

You know how I like my filth porn! The slow motion of the sludge!!! 😍🥰😍🥰 The strange items being pulled out of the pool. The crazy, mysterious, and horrible stench of an odour. Right, so some tips here for if I happen across an enormous lottery win:
1) Sloping bottom pools are easier to clean.
2) Tiles are easy to clean.
3) If you can set the pool on a hillside, install a giant drain plug that goes to a clean-out area and thence to drains without an intervening water lock; your pool cleaners will thank you for making life easier for them to clean it out.
4) If possible, feed the pool from a natural spring to avoid huge water bills.
5) If possible, put a roof over the pool.

They wanted this pool cleaned before they did the landscaping?
I'm guessing that they need to repair the pool and pipes, which are underground, before doing the landscaping, which would just be ruined if it was done first. I'm no pool expert though, so just my thoughts.

I've watched a number of these pool cleanups and transformations but one thing in most of them always strikes me curious; why the decks are often the last to be cleaned when it seems that this should be the first thing to clean up? Why go through all the trouble to clean a pool but leave the deck uncleaned to only clean it later and then potentially pollute a clean pool afterwards? Why not just power wash the deck first then clean the pool next? Since some the power washing of the deck may wash into the pool, at least when cleaning the after power washing the pool, you only have to do it once. To me, that seems like the logical order... that is, unless I am missing something. I'm not a pool washer or cleaner, and some insight into this would be good to know.

Ingrained dirt and smelly slime but in good order , pumps and cover a different story was a luxury home and will be again.

OMG, it's like the Skin of Evil episode from Star Trek Next Generation. Despite how dirty it was, the pool looked like it was still in immaculate condition. Fix the leak, put in a few pump system and call it a day!
