Yes, that is a strange feature on a monohull this size... maybe it is intended to have more power so you can motor more safely in very rough seas and storms without sails?
+Brian Litz comfortable, yes. But I think of how often I move around when at the helm and I think that I would feel trapped by those chairs, particularly with those big arm rests. Maybe that is just me.
Well.. Function is one thing. Maybe even I would like to "float" in such chair. But seriously.. it looks like absolute shit. Add on 30 kg and unelegant clothing (American style :-)) and you may fit in that environment. Have a look at European elegance. An X-yacht for example. Or a Grand Soleil. Anyways, if you like this one go right ahead! I will invite you over for sundowners despite your ride, your cloths and your body index :-)
But, the only thing that I don,t understand is that why hake yachts don,t have open sea videos or gale videos or squall videos? Why? No one buy this boat? Nice and pretty boat. But why no video in hard times, why no video who sail with this boat?
If you bother to do a little research you will find out that this is a luxury boat made to sail the shallow waters of the Bahamas and approach their sandy beaches. Maybe you come from a God forsaken winter land and don't know what that is. Newsflash: not everybody that buys a boat sails her to Europe....
Yeah... Difference is, that having a lifting keel or a centerboard doesn't mean the boat can't be seaworthy. In fact, Jimmy Cornell just went through the north passage with a beachable centerboard. Before that he circumnavigated twice in a different centerboard boat. So there are two options: get this and avoid sailing it in fresh conditions or get a proper boat that can do all this and do and go anywhere you please. I mean the designers of this boat were dumb enough to put the fuel vent close to water line. One of these boats was abandoned during it's first trip from a factory with the company delivery skipper on board because the boat was taking in sea water through the fuel vents. It's a joke, really. And the luxury? Must be hiding somewhere behind that that tacky 70's tiki bar they call the interior.
A very typical "Yank Tank". Ostentatiously bling. I wish someone could tell me why it is that you Americans can take a nice looking hull and build a bloody condo on top of it.
Thanks for sharing, but you really need a wide angle view on your video camera.
The layout is unique and remarkable, even though your video failed to show the space relationship.
Very interesting boat. Very nice craftsmanship in the cabinetry.
True
Boat is superb. I loved.
Uns dos melhores projetos de yachts a vela ( veleiro).
Parabéns
Looks like American 80's style wise. I'll take an Amel 50 any day.
Ingenious design
Thank you! Cheers!
Are they still building so nice boats?
yes
Nice size of boat to do long cruising sailings
Beauty!!! Simply The Best!!! My Wellcome Kiss!!!
magnifique
merci
Im sorry i knov that im late but that capitans seatt inside was pretty cool
Beautiful.
0:28 What is that? Looks like a SHARK FIN running alongside the hull...
Do not sit? Do you want to sell the boat or what? And how about some audio descriptions
Really nice music choice!
Thanks
Twin engines! Nice.
But on a MONO?
Yep, twice the maintenance costs, twice the drag, and less miles per gallon. So great!

Aft sleeping berth seems a bit lacking, captains chair seems nice touch.
A north Korean copy of the Garcia Exploration 45 ?
Suspiciously so.......
Why no video sailing from USA to Europe?
The retractable keel is that structure under the mast?
and in front of it, yes.
Are my eyes playing tricks on me? That's a 46 ft. monohull with TWO engines?
Walter Strong exactly!!!
16valve turbos no less. One would be more than enough for hull speed.
Why two??
The wicker trim looks ancient.
Nice video presentation, but that boat did not appeal at all to me. Maybe if I lived in rainy Seattle. Hated those captain chairs inside and out.
It's funny I live in the Seattle area and when I saw this I thought, what a great boat to sail in the rainy Puget Sound. Ha ha :)
+Bert Farin I loved the captains chairs. Why not be comfortable instead of sitting on a normal sailboat "captains torture rack"?
+Brian Litz comfortable, yes. But I think of how often I move around when at the helm and I think that I would feel trapped by those chairs, particularly with those big arm rests. Maybe that is just me.
I get the captain's chair this boat is intended for autopilot cruising so the helm should be comfortable if all are doing is monitoring

Is this filmed in 4K?

Change the bloody music !!!!!!!!!!!!!
garcia exploration 45 much better.
Very unusual layout because of the keel, but i like it.
Ive seen so many videos of yours that I allredy hate this music. Change it, I beg you!
How about the 'Do not seat" sign?.....jejejeje
Is so pretty I'd be afraid of gettin' it wet!!
A suitcase on a boat? Bad luck! I'd be afraid the keel would fall out!
Looks like a throne...
Please fire you camera man.
Yeah no wide establishing shots. Too much in your face detail flying past the lens...
Hake, are you afraid of dying (dead) if you sail to Europe with this boat? No? Show us.
Whoodaphuk would want to go to Europe today with the horrid mess it's in?
Definitely a tiny man boat as those chairs won’t hold anyone over 150 pounds.
true
Liars, you also say " this boat can do...... Bla,bla, bla, bla ". Do and make video.
That music is sooo god damn bad.
Педантиссимо!
captain chairs have to go.
shit video work, i think the boats a good design without the dated interior.

It's a gift!
We have deceived the entire world by building homes, cars and people so big that we don't look like energy hogs.
Ummmmmm...Moody DS anyone?
William Wallace God forbid sombody build what they want and it be comfortable.. I'd take this boat in a second. that command center is bad ass
I'd take this over a bland British style any day.
So very nice, it's the best of ever i saw...
Why no video from USA to Europe?
