Hi Linette, I mix them all the time. There are a few cautions. I recommend either testing for color run on your batiks. Or prewash with color catchers.

I think this Rail Fence possibly the first patterns I taught to a group of cancer survivors at our local Cancer Support House. These Ladies said they were going to try quilting to help get their minds off their health problems. Most of these ladies came every other Saturday morning for the 10 years I was teaching. So very rewarding to me.
So funny got a notification ya’ll had posted a new video so switched over and saw the title- “HAVE YOU MADE A RAIL FENCE QUILT?” And yes I was at the time cutting one out! using the “porch rails” pattern. Will post a picture when it is complete !!!
