I just ran across this video. One of my favorite things about your videos is how it gets my brain moving. So many times, I fall in love with the fabric and not the pattern, my brain decides that the fabric can only be made in one pattern - or visa versa. There were a couple of surprises in this video. A couple of the patterns, I wasn't crazy about until I saw it made up in different fabric. I really have to audition my stash more. Thank you so much for all of the tips and fun with your patterns.
Happy Mother's Day Fran and Donna I know it is early . But I didn't want to miss out on being the First of telling you both Happy Mother's Day and I just love you both so much there at Fabric Cafe as well as All the whole Crew there. So to the rest of the mothers at Fabric Cafe hope you all have a Great and Wonderful Mother's Day on Sunday. Love you guys so so so much ❤️❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹
I love sewing at night. My sweet husband when I sew during the day, he will come to my sewing room and ask me every time what am I doing. I think that he should find a hobby! hahaha Love the man dearly!!
I think it is called graphite that makes the pins sharp. Not for sure on that, but seems like I have heard it somewhere. Also, you two are so cute together, love your videos and how you show us how different the quilt looks with the different fabrics.
Yes, new respect for the 4 patch. All of the quilts are delightful. Watching the two of you reminds of all the fun times my mom and I had sewing and fabric shopping. Happy Mother's Day to you both; keep making the quilts and the memories.
I think a lot of people get caught up in each new sew-along and forget the simple, classic blocks. This is a great way to show how awesome a classic quilt block can become. And Donna, I love your necklace. If you ever get tired of it...
Love your videos and your patterns! That little strawberry is indeed to sharpen pins but don't leave a pin in it or it will rust (my grandma told me that). Thank you for your time and efforts. You both are so enjoyable to watch🤗
After I watch your entertaining and fun show, I want to go home and sew a quilt. I'm so excited to make all your patterns. In fact, when I go on vacation to my mother-in-laws house I sew the entire 12 days!!! Thank you for making quilting so fun.
I just loved this show! I’m with Fran in that I have a new appreciation of four patches. Great fabric mixes for my Christmas list too! I’m off to shop now.
Hi Valerie, unfortunately we no longer have that combination available. You may find something similar in our floral category though! I'll link it here - www.fabriccafe.com/floral-3-yard-quilt-kits-s/1978.htm
I was given fabric from Australia from a friend and have been wondering how to use it. I think Jacob's Ladder or Chicken Scratch would be perfect! I tried going to the web site but had absolutely no luck getting to the point of ordering. So frustrated :-(
Hi Camille, I'm so sorry you had difficulty placing an order. Feel free to call our office between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. central time, Monday though Friday. 866-855-0998 We will be glad to step you though how to order from the web store. Donna
Hello there. Can I ask pleas if the title really denotes that you only need 3 yards of fabric? Or does it refer to the 3 different materials? By the way I love listening to the videos and learning about colour management. I haven't got my quilt underway yet.
Hi Babsie! All of our 3-yard quilt patterns can be made with any three 1-yard cuts of fabric! The 3-yards of fabric will be all the yardage you need to finish your quilt top, borders and binding. The only extra yardage you will need will be another 3 extra yards for the backing fabric. That's all you need! Hopefully that helps answer your question, if you need any other information please ask! 😊
@@FabricCafe Thank you so much. I couldn't quite believe it would only take 3 yrs. Looking forward to your next video. I will try and pluck up the courage to cut my fabric and start making a quilt. 🤗🤗
All of these patterns have varying sized blocks. Since they are apart of the pattern we cannot give them out, but the links in the description will take you to the patterns that you can purchase if you would like.
Love, Love, LOVE theses patterns and color choices!

I would be tempted to make the first 4-patch quilt...a disappearing 4-patch quilt.

Crushed walnut shell called "lizard litter" in the pet store
You used Hannah's first quilt- the cats in blues and greens. You should have told people!
You're right! We all love her quilt! 💜
The strawberry can be filled with either steel wool or crushed walnut shells
