    Great episode Sifu Calandra, showing the possible chinese roots to Okinawa Karate. Could you eventually explore the hindu Kalari martial art from India which i heard that gave roots the chinese martial arts. Thanks.

    You study bird arts. The Crane is an extremely popular method of movement throughout the Asian martial arts. So we see these exact same movement patterns in most styles Okinawan, Chinese, etc. Sometimes other types of birds are used but ultimately they’re all Crane movements.
    Taiji = snake/Crane. Wing Chun = snake/crane. Hung Gar = Tiger/Crane. Goju ryu = Fujian Crane. Uechi ryu = Crane/dragon/tiger. Lohanquan = eagle. Xing Yi = Eagle/bear. BaGuaZhang = Phoenix/rooster/lion/qilin/snake/dragon/bear/monkey.
