I used one (and the only time) with three mates on our gap year to Australia over 15 years ago now on our stop over in Kuala Lumpur. It was more basic and smaller than this but it had air con, snacks free drinks and a golf putting area and was very chilled out and clean so very welcome for the 11 bucks or so I think we paid for it.
This seems like such a good way to relax in an environment that can be really stressful -especially for people with anxiety and/or are on the autistic spectrum! Thanks for sharing guys!
I’m a recent lounge convert too, and it’s sooooo worth it! Traveling can be so stressful, so if you can have a reprieve by chilling out in a lounge, that makes a big difference.
I just started watching your TH-cam channel two days ago and I am thoroughly impressed with your content. While you gab away about everything from local prices, airport searches, the bar scene and the quality of the local food (like normal family folks), the person behind the camera is actually zooming in and taking quality video of the subject at hand. I especially like the video work in relation to the local foods. I figure I can sell a kidney to finance my trip to Germany to sample all that fabulous food! Thanks for taking us along and please keep it up!
I love Iceland, but if any airport in the whole world needed jet bridges, it is Keflavik! We were there in February 2019 and it was about 0 degrees Fahrenheit with a very strong wind (20-30 mph and gusting) and we had to troop outside and walk up the airstairs. It was about 8am and 90 minutes until sunrise. We were halfway to London before we thawed out!
It’s a private lounge as such isn’t run by an airline, airline lounges are invite only (no cost) but you have to be travelling business\first or be in their flying club. I have to say this lounge looks amazing. I’ve used a British airways lounge and it wasn’t great, whilst free because I was travelling business it was limited to prepackaged muffins and tea and coffee.
United airline domestic lounges are sucks, the Star alliance international lounges are mostly enjoyable, shower room, breakfast, lunch and dinner serve according to the time table, all cocktails, beer, foods are excellent, some lounges can order from the menu, they have people wait on your.
I haven't been in lounges that often, but I always remember the first time. You're spot on - you look around, wowed by all the lovely stuff, which 99% of people in there take for granted! *pours third glass of wine*
I love booking into lounges when I fly. When flying with work my manager paid for all of us to use a lounge and that sold me on the idea, the next time I flew with family I converted my dad and now he won’t fly anywhere without booking into a lounge. What sold us all was that the cost isn’t bad when you consider how much you actually end up spending while sitting around in departures.
Following your channel has inspired me to take 6 months off work from Feb to travel SE Asia, and now you just got me 10% off a lounge for my layover at Abu Dhabi. Thank you :)
This is amazing!!! I thought the same as you, that only special (rich) people can go to those places! Wow! Thanks so much! I don't fly often, but will keep LoungeBuddy on my phone to plan for it next time I have a trip coming! Thanks again!
We hope you enjoy coming along with us on our first ever airport lounge experience! Never been to a lounge either? Use this link for 50% off your first booking with Loungebuddy 👉 bit.ly/loungebuddy-discount
Welllll... the problem is you'd need buy a ticket to get a boarding pass to get through security in order to access the lounge! 🤣 Otherwise...yeah, that'd be awesome! 😁lol
Hi Guys!, yes I could see this becoming an issue, as you get more followers and more popular I can see how people would think you don't have a bad word to say about anything, they need to bare in mind that you do actually research your stuff through Google, local reviews, recommendations etc so you are less liely to have a bad experience. Yes this episode was about as close to an advert as you could get, but as wise travellers you save money where you can and in exchange for an honest review that is likely to be seen by many, Lounge Buddy made a shrewd investment in giving you the discount plus you were able to help others by passing on 50% discounts, many people watching the video (like me) had no idea they even existed!. it was a no brainer win win!. Love the videos, my only gripe is that they are not easy to sort chronologically. :)@@Theendlessadventure
Lounge access is pretty good... I get 6 passes per year through my travel insurance. The example here is better than most paid lounges. Often the food is kind of so/so, but it is nice to have a quieter area to chill out. You’re usually time limited in them too - often two hours; so you can’t stay eating and drinking free stuff all day. They’re certainly nice if you have a long connection or have time on your hands, but I’m not sure they’re worth getting to the airport super early for.
Awwww I won't be getting a flight in the next 2 months or so and have always wanted to experience a lounge! Just booked a surprise lounge for my boyfriend who will be returning from Germany next week though....he'll really appreciate that after 20 hours of travel. Serios girlfriend points for me!! Thanks guys :)
Loungebuddy would be great for delayed flights as well. I'll try it :) (my flight from London have been delayed every single time, so that's a nice recommendation).
Wow what a great travel tip , thanks you guys , has to be one of the best kept travel secrets who knew! Will definitely be using your code once again thanks guys !
Such a good video, I also have only seen "The Lounge" on kara&nate, and thought u had to have cards or be rich, loungebuddy sounds great x Thanks for sharing x
wow...lounge food looks like a lovely wedding buffet! Glad for you mere mortals had such a good time...I travel a lot, you have clearly sold me! thanks! xo
Thanks for the code! I’ve got a 6 hour layover in Johannesburg next month and I was just thinking this week that I should book a lounge. This was perfect timing for me 😀😀😀
I haven't done much travelling for a while, I can't wait to do a lot more travelling, but man I didn't even know airport lounges were a viable thing, we know there's 1st class lounges etc, but didn't know it was a viable option for your everyday traveller. I'm 100% going to get down with lounges when I eventually make it out and travel the world some more. Thanks guys, love the videos.
I love the idea of lounge buddy especially when you know you're going to have a long layover! My husband and I were able to fly first class once (there was a cheaper upgrade from our economy seats available closer to our flight date) and went to the Delta lounge in the JFK airport and it was so cool (plus we had the beds on the plane which was awesome!) but we are not rich so it was a once in a lifetime (hopefully not just once!) type of experience. I am excited to learn about this website though and wish that it was available/known in the past for some of the dreadful long layovers! Some lounges even have showers so if you have a red eye flight you can freshen up before your end destination.
Hope the next time you come to Scotland you're able to travel around the Highlands a bit more. Also while I've never been to Iceland myself have seen it in films and on drone footage and photographers TH-cam channels and it looks amazing. Great access to the Northern Lights if you've not seen them. I think it's just a quick stopover for you there this time but think it would be a wonderful place to visit with a very unique landscape.
If you travel a lot, then other schemes can give you a number of inclusive visits, rather than paying for them one by one. Although I do have a Priority Pass card, I've no particular allegiance to any scheme. As well as the food/drink benefits in the lounges, there are often showers - these are a a major plus point if you are travelling in hot/humid countries.
Now you remind me of Kara and Nate. Always enjoying a lounge until last min and then running to the gate lol. Now you know WHY it always happens when you have access to a lounge 😉 I didn’t know it was this easy to get an access. Looking forward to book it one day. Thanks for the info! 👍
I've been lounging it since 2013. Love airports and wearing my sweats around. I have one of those premium cards for travelers and it's great. I suggest u do the same. It's worth it and it totally changed how I travel. With all the other perks it more than pays for itself. Tsa, Uber credits, and all access 1000+ lounges worldwide. Not to mention a travel helper concierge who can direct you, get you to a hospital, or make great reservations for you in random countries in different languages. And they even paid for my Sony 1000$ camera when it was stolen in Spain, built in insurance. Also instant upgrade to different travel tier statuses with cars and crazy hotels.
There is only type of beer (Carlsberg) and house wine that is included in the price and not even house rose wine, just red and white. To add to that, i also understand that passengers are only entitled to two drinks, anymore and you have to pay. All premium spirits including vodka, rum, whiskies etc and beers you have to pay for. It no longer represents good value as too many people were abusing it and getting onto planes blind drunk. For £40 you could get a meal at any of the airport restaurants and have change for a couple of G&T's in Wetherspoons
I hate waiting for a flight at an airport, i just can't stand it (especially when there's a long delay). I just want some place where i can take a nap peacefully and comfortably. Maybe something like those sleeping pod in Tokyo
It's best to get sauced in the lounge on the way to Iceland, because alcohol prices can turn you tea-total over there. It's like that all over the Nordic/Scandinavian countries. I've met quite a few 'tired and emotional' Scandinavians on flights. ;) x
I can’t believe you never do lounges with the amount of airport travel you do. I am lucky to have Status with good old British Airways. But, when I don’t use Openworld I have Priority Pass. Makes travel so much nicer 😎
i love airport lounges. they are to be highly recommended (particularly for introverts!).
And now we love them too 😄
I used one (and the only time) with three mates on our gap year to Australia over 15 years ago now on our stop over in Kuala Lumpur. Amen!
There's no hint whatsover that either of you had a couple of drinks in the Lounge (*plays TAG and runs off*) :-D Adorable, you two!
😂🍻
Four drinks ... each!
Maaaaaaan, if I ever get away with drinking and hanging out during the day... that'll be the day

Glad it was helpful. We're definitely lounge converts ourselves 😄Hope you get to try one out soon!
Loving the slightly tipsy run for the plane.
Lounges are awesome! The little guest house you picked looked nice for a quick nights sleep.
Lounges are great as a solo traveler. Going to the toilet, sleeping that kind of thing is so much easier and safer feeling.
You don't even know, how happy I am, that you are at Iceland. I love Iceland so much, now I love it more, because you are there😉
We love it too! Sadly it's just a stopover 😭Hopefully we can do a proper visit again some time soon!

Thanks for the special offer on Lounge Buddy. I have used it to book 4 lounges for my round trip to Phnom Penh at the end of the month!
Love the lounges when traveling!
Thanks very much guys. Just used your discount code for Bristol Airport in November. Safe travels👍🏻👍🏻🏴
Awesome! We hope you have as much fun in the lounge as we did 😄
That face when that wind hit you was priceless 🤣🤣
Nice one! Airport lounges make the whole ghastly airport experience far more bearable.

Thanks for the coupon guys. I was looking for a lounge to kill some time and freshen up before an upcoming late night flight out of SIN.
That lounge is quite nice and the food seems more plentiful than usual. Certainly better than the Air France lounge.
