You need to correct wrong and misleading title. There are few other mountain peaks that are MUCH TALLER than Mount Kinabalu in Southeast Asia, and all of the mountain peaks are located in 3 other countries - northern Myanmar, eastern Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea (the latter two are on the New Guinea island).
Anyway, Mount Kinabalu is the highest in Borneo and, if not mistaken, the 20th highest mountain in the world in terms of topographical prominence.
    Great shot, great view btw!

Actually, Mount K is the tallest in GEOGRAPHY South East Asia. Geopolitics South East Asia does include Myanmar and Indonesia, however, when determining geography locations, we dont use geopolitics because it can change very so often. Geographically, all the mountains you referring in Myanmar, is part of Himalayan Range, and all the mountain in Indonesia u refering, is part of Oceania plate (outside of Asia), so exclude those, Mount K will be the tallest.
however you are correct, if we are talking about geopolitic SEA, then Mount K is no way near the tallest, is around 28 tallest i guess.
Fun fact : All the Indonesia East of Bali, is geographically speaking, not in Asia anymore.

@@zaczaclee you're absolutely right, geologically speaking. But in every practical sense, for video of this nature, viewer or reader will mostly and unmistakably think of it geopolitcally (as in, the tallest mountains 'among the Southeast Asian countries'). Hence clarification is best added somewhere in the video and in the description, or people (especially Malaysians) will continue to be misguided thinking Malaysia really has the tallest mountain in Southeast Asia. I don't think we see the use of this phrase for quite some times in any official or governmental communication/promotion that's to do with Mount Kinabalu these days

@@NoSoyElSuperhombre I think is great idea to include the clarification in the description, I think I will make a short reels to explain this issue as well. Not sure about the government promotion thing, but in the hiking community we always refer geography locations base on geography, I did also double checked with authorities from Mount K, they did refer this as tallest in geography SEA. I do think this will be a good chance to educate people about the diff. Geopolitics are simply too fragile to set as a standard as politically so much has change just in the last few decades, but geography will be here to stay for another million of years. Therefore I think for geography stuffs, is best we determine using geography. It might not be a common takes (people might get misunderstood), but it shall be taught.

Mount Kinabalu is nowhere close to the tallest mountain in South East Asia. Malaysian school system propaganda.
