No 3D printer, no laser cutter, no fancy tools. Just incredible talent, imagination and skill.
Aww, thank you so much
I love her channel for those reasons too, I don't have fancy equipment and love working from scratch 💙
@@queencityminisyou’re awesome ❤l love all your miniatures
That's why I love this channel
YESSSS THIS IS WHY I LOVE HER! amazing!!!
Imagining how pieces of trash can turn into miniature treasures is half of the pleasure of making miniatures in my opinion.
Absolutely. I agree
Your voice could bring peace to the world ❤
Aww, thank you
It is therapeutic to watch these videos. The patience it takes to do this is quite a talent.
😊 thank you
Do I build miniatures? No. Do I hoard everything for potential art projects? Yes.
Sounds like i know what my new hobby is 🤣 thanks for this AMAZING inspiration!!
Perfect! Start using some of that trash.
I learn so much from each of your videos. Thank you.
I'm so glad!
Scrap-trash-upcycling are my favorite mini makes! You’re so talented! Thanks! Kathleen
Mine too! It's so much fun
Check out some old copies of the defunct magazine "Minature Collector!" It features some great tips on mini-making as well as a great 'Kids' Corner!"
Your imagination astounds me !!!
Thank you so much 💓
"This piece of plastic I've been hoarding for three years" 😂 you are my people!
Hahaha thank you!
We the real crafters have "that" drawer full of scraps to "use it later"@@queencityminis
I love everything you made, but that cash register is amazing! I recommend your channel every chance I get! Fabulous! ❤
I appreciate that! Thank you
Great ideas! I'm going to start looking closer at things before I toss them!
Perfect! I have a large trash collection.
The cash register is gorgeous. That has to be my favourite.

Your so incredibly talented I could watch you for hours 😍😃 Thankyou for sharing
Thank you so much 😀
It's always such a treat to watch your videos! Such smart ideas!
Glad you like them!
Such an amazing imagination you have to see those items from that trash. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us and inspiring us.
You are so welcome!
My favourite kind of miniatures 💕
Thank you 😊
Excellent collection of scrap trash transformations all in one place. Thank you, ma'am!
You are so welcome!
Poster before me mentioned it's therapeutic to watch these videos - not only that your voice is so soothing. Wonderful job with such detail. I think my fav is the slides and the box they store in. The worst - that spider egg sack - ewwwww - LOL.
Thank you! Sorry about the egg sac 😆
I feel like we're soul sisters I love how you said you'd been hoarding that treasured piece of plastic for 2 years and now you preciously tested the nail polish on it
Haha I feel the camaraderie
I love it!!! Great job my friend!!!❤❤❤
Thank you so much!!
@@queencityminis you are so very welcome!!❤️❤️❤️
So awesome
I feel the first option should be to repurpose trash plastic & paper if possible -- your work proves it's perfectly suitable
It's so much fun too!
So many amazing projects! I am a huge fan of your cast iron skillet so I felt a little guilty for falling in love with that cash register! And the little cakes are absolutely adorable 😍
I'm so happy with how the cash register turned out! It's so cute. The cast iron skillet forgives your wandering eye.
You know my mind works differently now bc as soon as I removed my old tire caps, I thought they looked like cakes.
This was very satisfying to watch, particularly enjoyed the pots and pans segment and found that very insightful! The light microscope and slide boxes were also incredibly adorable! 😍❤❤ Wishing you a lovely day! 🌻😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much
I love your creativity and your voice is very soothing.🌟
Oh thank you!
You have the best minatures channel on youtube! I always take notes when I'm watching. Thankyou sooo much for your tutorials,I love the way you describe everything that you do!
Wow, thank you! That's a really great compliment.
You are so talented ! I loved watching you make all the miniatures! I love miniatures! Great job!😊
Thank you so much!
So many great techniques and tips. I learn more from this channel than almost any others.
Great to hear!
Wow! A real trash to treasures next. Love it!
Yes! Thank you!
You are welcome 🤗
Shyra, you are so incredibly talented. You have successfully shown with a bit of ingenuity how trash can be tuned into treasure. I am just blown away by your imagination. I love all the projects featured, but the abandoned lab and cash register have to be my favorites.
Thank you 😊 I so appreciate the kind words.
@@queencityminis, You are very welcome!
Great ideas as always. it amazes me how small you make your minis
Thank you!
I never would have thought to use lace to mimic engraving! That's a beautiful cash register. Cast iron skillet is so realistic, great finish! But I'm in love with the abandoned lab. Thank you for sharing your techniques.
Thanks for watching! I love the lab so much as well.
Watching this channel is gonna make me a trash hoarder even though I never seem to get beyond the ideas stage to actually make anything.
Hahaha that's fine! Someday, someday.
Your work is amazing I love what you do
Thank you so much!
that cash register is amazing! it deserves a video of its own
th-cam.com/video/ZC1Z3UDKsaQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ojek3RVWF-OrUUrP
Here's the longer, full version
Good Morning! You have made many beautiful items. Lot's of detail work. Great job. Have a wonderful day.
Thank you! You too!
You know the nature of glue too well.
It's fun to make small props using tools 💕
I agree. I love this 😀
These really are relaxing to watch. ❤
Glad you like them!
I always enjoy watching your full videos. I have seen you make some.of these items but I never get tired of seeing it done again. Thanks for a good start to my morning.
Thank you so much!
i use paper clay air dry in silicon molds. love your videos!
I love paperclay!
I *knew* I was saving chocolate box trays for a reason. My mind is blown. I cannot wait to do this. Thank you.
I love rescuing bits and pieces from the cheap bins at my local opshops (thrift stores)!
I'm obsessed with Goodwill Buy the Pound!
Such great ideas. Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome!
These minis are the cutest. I am really impressed over the register and the shed. Such a patience you have!🌹
Thank you 😊
Nice work as always 👍👍
Thanks again!
Have missed you
I've missed posting! I'm largely settled in (enough to film and edit).
that aged copper paint looks amazing 😮❤
Right?! I'm so happy with how that turned out
You do great work and using trash. I have watched most of the videos that go along with these pieces but somehow missed a couple. I will look the up and watch them too. You have a great day
I listed the full videos in the description 😃
Thank you!
La caisse enregistreuse dorée est juste une merveille ! 🤩
Thank you so much 💓
Learned some new techniques through your video; thanks :) You are very creative!
Thank you so much!
I love that Used dryer sheet cobweb trick. I love abandoned old stuff and that "faux" snow stuff is horrible 😂 but it makes a Perfect spider egg sac. I also think it could work for those vase filler orbeez kinda things if misted with paint/colored.
So true! Thank you 😊
I felt so seen when you talked about how you had been saving that one piece of plastic for two years! I really loved the cakes, and your experimentation with how different plastics react with different paints
Haha I have a whole bin of "maybe I'll use this someday" scraps!
2 seconds is about my patience limit too. Awesome vid 🔥
Mine too!
I'm soo happy to find this miniatures video. This is soo awesome.
Can't wait to see the other videos. Thank you!❤️✝️🙏

More to come!
This had a lot of techniques I'd never heard of or even imagined before! The lace for engraving is truly inspired. One thing you might want to consider: If you're struggling with brush marks, try a piece of makeup sponge (or any fine sponge), dipping it in paint and patting it on instead of spreading, either from the start or on top of brushed-on paint. It might not look like much at first, but doing several layers and sealing it under a coat of varnish can give you a pretty smooth surface! I've had especially good luck pinching the piece of sponge with tweezers.
Thank you! That's really great advice. I've seen TinyKeyHoleMinis paint with sponges. It looks great.
I love these kind of videos of yours. I learn so much about upcycles and products. THANKS! Susan
I'm so glad! Thank you
Wow! I could watch this all day. Not sure I have the dexterity, but this is so amazing to watch and admire.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Yay! Yay! Yay! Nice work! Thanks for sharing! 💕
Thanks for watching!
What a superb video! Wonderfully explained and demonstrated. To say that you have an amazing imagination and are a genius would be an insult, you are far, far better than that! Much respect from an old artist.
You're so incredibly talented and creative! I was in awe watching you take trash and bits and pieces of discarded items we usually chuck out, but you created something magical out of it! That cash register is something else!!
Thank you so much!
Im new to miniatures and i have been pretty frustrated while looking up tutorials because so many of them require specialized equipment. Your channel is refreshing! I'm learning alot. 😊
That's so cool! I'm glad you're enjoying the channel. You don't need special tools to make minis
Your voice has a very soothing cadence (at least 4 me it does!).
As a child i had the dolls but no home 🏡/house to put them in. My Dad came up with several boxes that substituted 4 the real thing.
I used printed toilet paper/tissues to "wall paper" the cardboard. Likewise it served as linen.
Although my skill set was way below yours', but I developed a creative resource that serves me 60 yrs later (I'm now 70! Where'd all the time go? Eh?)
Thanks for your wonderful voice-imagination and exceptional skill set (making realistic mini's from scrap).😮
I've subscribed & look 4ward to watching all the archived videos & any new one's you post! Gracias ❤️🤗💥
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like my videos. Thanks for subscribing
Shyra, This is fabulous, so many great ideas. I wanted to use your trash plastic pans for my Fallout kitchen video but I didn’t have the right plastic at that time so I used resin but I definitely plan to use your technique. I’m saving all my cool shaped trash plastic now. 🥰Lesley
Great idea!! I have a nice trash collection. I'm glad others are doing the same.
Good, I am 76, and getting on. Nice to see Some are still keeping this FUN, enjoyable ART for many to peer into the world of Miniatures. I was always Fascinated by the THRON ROOMS in CHICAGO art Museum. I remember when Miniatures was a more well known, and have special Displays Malls . But due to so much CRIME by MOBS OF TEENS, breaking into cars, stealing the cars, then gang fights in the malls, NO longer do we have such joys of visiting Malls. Majority of ours CLOSED . Perhaps At Train Shows or Boat shows to add miniature FISHING Boat houses. and mini town. A place ROUNDY DISRESPECTFULL TEEN are less to PAY TO enter the BUILDING SHOW>
Oh dear! That's too bad
Your dexterity, imagination and creativity are inspiring!!!
Wow, thank you!
THIS WAS REALLY GOOD!!!!!l THE HANGING LIGHT WAS MY FAVORITE!!
Thank you so much!
These are incredible, and the cash register blew me away! Absolutely beautiful!❤
Thank you so much!
Amazing love it
I'm glad you like it 😊
Sooo nice! Thank you!
Thank you too!
These are great! Love your videos!
Thanks so much!
Nice, love the cash register. Everything turned out great ❤
Thanks so much! I'm really happy with it.
Quick tip from a fellow artist and painter, If u add one coat of gesso on the surface before adding your paint it will make it so that you don’t need to paint so many layers. Gesso works on most surfaces including plastic. You did a great job, everything looks so realistic
Thanks! I bought some cheap gesso in a large bucket at Michael's. I should've paid more for less because it doesn't work well. It's too thin.
@@queencityminis The way Gesso works is you need a few coats of the gesso first, I usually need around 2 coats of it, and then I only need one coat of acrylic (depending on the surface it may take more). It also depends on the quality. If it's a cheap gesso, they usually put too much water in it which is why it's too thin. I use the liquitex brand.
I knew I wasn't nuts for saving all the junk I do!! Been waiting for a video like this... more pretty please?
We are kindred spirits! There is beauty in the junk!
Also ❤❤❤❤ that you make these amazing things with inexpensive/free /found/ etc I make things as well, but you are much more talented and experienced than I am. But I love to see what you're doing
Oh thank you! I imagine you're pretty talented in your own ways.
You are an amazing artist! Thank you for sharing your skills and inspiring us all to look at our trash in a different way.
I'm so glad you liked it! 😄
Absolutely fantastic! Love your work! ❤❤❤
I am so glad you enjoyed it!
I was gonna click off this at about10 minutes, but I find taht I can't stop watching.
Yay! Thank you 😊
Wonderfully clear instructions and a great use of otherwise throw away items ❤ that cash register is utterly inspired work ! 🎉
Thank you so much!
The details you include are amazing! The spider eggs 🤣 just awesome!! Glad I found your channel!
I love that little detail!
I’m amazed by your creative brain. I saved a couple of small prescription bottles along with their lids and the lids have a clear plastic circle inside them that come out, but for the life of me, I can’t think of what to do with literally any of the pieces.
So incredible! Soothing voice, easy to watch. Amazing detail.
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
A lot of cool minis, love the cash register! I love making minis from trash as well. I hoard way to much plastic scraps! 😆
You and me both!
The tire valve stem caps could also work as little miniature trash bins like next to a nightstand or a desk in a mini doll house
So cute! Good idea
I was so glad that I had found you a bit back (I have not tried yet), but because of you I now look at the small "trash" a lot different then I did before. 😊A lot of times my husband will say (what are you doing with that)? and I just say, I am only keeping a few of each. I might need them to make some small mini things I need 😉 Thank you for helping and also this is good for the planet (every little bit helps), and can also save $$$
Welcome aboard! I hope your hubby understands
@@queencityminis He will, saving money at a craft is always a good thing! Thanks for all you share
For the microscope, the slides are more rectangular.
But your work is so inspiring and amazing!
Thanks for the tip! I should've googled them first.
Thank you for making things. I appreciate your eye and attention to detail.
My pleasure!
Amazing! Your pieces are so beautiful and the details make them look so real. The cash register looks like one that my parents had in their business. I’ve been saving stuff for years and eventually have used it or know what I’m making with it. I make miniatures for fairy houses, etc. I’m working on a library now. You have some really good ideas.
So cool that you're making fairy houses! That sounds great
One woman’s trash is another’s treasure!
Most trash is my treasure haha
Incredible, you are very clever.. ♥♥♥
Thanks so much! I love making things out of scraps.
Hello from Canada, Shyra! I love this video with all the tips and tricks for making realistic minis! I like the dryer sheet trick for making cobwebs, so I will save one or two used dryer sheets to try this! I loved the tiny cakes that you made. They looked yummy! lol! TFS! ~Janet in Canada
Thanks so much! The dryer sheet cobwebs is a good hack.
I am so happy i found your channel! 🙏✨️
Welcome! I'm happy too
These are some great techniques, and well demonstrated!
I'm glad you like them!
This is so impressive and charming! 😍
Thank you 😊
AMAZING WORK!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much! I am glad you liked it!
This is inspiring. Simple, cheap and well made miniature items. I tent to hold onto anything i think is useful, even plastic pakaging. I keep most if my svrap anything. I even break down old damaged usb charging cords, lamps, lamp shades, all kinda stuff.
I want to make a kitchen sink keychain. This gives me ideas of making one, my biggest thing for it is the sink part. But i think i have plastic packaging that would work! Thank you 😁
My own worst enemy though overthinking and perfectionism.
I get all kinds of free stuff, they require sorting, but i sort well.
Lots of cool little things there.
I am gonna check for little tthings, even broken but within reason.
That's such a cool idea! I know you can do it
Lavori meravigliosi! Bravissima! 👏 👏 👏 👍 👍 ❤❤
Thank you 😊
U r just amazing!!! So talented. I thought I was, but, girl, u have by-passed me lol!!!! Definitely will be following u. I save all kinds of pieces of trash too!!! I see things and I think what I can use them for instead of throwing away. A whole drawer full lol!!! ❤
Thank you so much!! It sounds like we have the same quirky habit of making things out of trash.
You are very creative! I loved dollhouses at one time.
Thank you 🤗
All by hand and eye great work true artist you should be so proud do your sell them and how much thanks for your effort and time
Thank you very much!
I haven't sold them yet, but I'm open to it.
7:58 I once sliced a thin layer of flesh off the tip of my thumb with a very sharp X-Acto knife too!!! Ouch!
Oh no! Ouch
🩹🩹🩹
Wow how creative! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! 😊
